Hope you make Kangeroo Island they cancelled our visit due to badw eather forecast ??? and had to stay in Adelaide for two nights

We went on the Sea Princess and the power points were compatible for our phone chargers and my wife's hair straightener, so I presume all Princess ships should be the same in that area, hope this helps, cheers CraigyB

Golden Princess has US power points. If travelling from Aus you will need an adapter.

You are given a boarding pass which is like a credit card. Everything is booked to that pass while you are on board. There is no money used on board. Before you disembark you are required to settle your account just like in a hotel.

Sorry but I have not had any experience of this. I would have thought the normal walk-in shower would have been easier though in your situation.

I don't think so but you should check with your cruise consultant. The price of the package means you'd have to be drinking a substantial amount each day to get your money's worth! We reckoned it was not worth it and preferred to buy as we went.

I can now confirm there is no happy hour as I have just returned from New Zealand on the Golden Princess Feb 2018.

Happy hour still exists on Princess Cruises, second drink of what you order you get for $1-00 but get into the bar early if you want to sit down.

Hi I am not sure if they have beer on tap most of any I've seen and hubby has bought have been in tins. They usually only have a variety of about half a dozen types. Hubby was drinking Heineken.

From seeing other people smoke it was out side in an area signed for just for smoking. enjoy the cruise if you go on one.

Yes..there are dedicated smoking areas...usually outside on either Deck 14 or Deck 15...But when we were last on Golden Princess..they allowed smoking in the sports players area..which was inside...

I can't answer that question, Robert as I have not been on the Golden Princess Line they might give you an idea, we always bought the coffee card which is great value they only punch your card for any coffees but not if you order teas, Drinks I can't help as I don't drink so I never asked but it but your travel agent may or go to the Princess line customer service. A Stubby is $8 and Cocktails $14 but if you buy at Happy Hour you get the second drink for a $1 so it's either 2 beers or 2 cocktails then.
Happy Hour is twice a day 3------4pm and 10-------11pm daily.
$59 a day each person if you decide to opt for the Drinks package adds up to a bit of cash if your on a 35 day cruise.

Drinks are at about normal bar prices both in the lounges and in the Dining Rooms.They go on your shipbaord account. There are drinks packages available but check them out carefully as they are so much per day every day of the cruise. Princess can advise you of these packages.

The live evening entertainment was very good
The Bernini restaurant was good, when you get a good waiter ( and if you do, take note of the table number and next morning book that table number )
They are into upselling bottled water, no need., The tv programmes are very repetitious, take a book ., take an adaptor for the power supply)

Yes you can take soft drink on board,and on my last princess cruise they only had America plugs.

HI CTD, This applies to Dawn Princess and I would assume all Princess ships' prices would be similar. Yes there are happy hours where your 2nd drink is quite cheap. Soft drinks were $2.60, my husband's beers were between $7.50 & $7.90 depending which one he was drinking, cocktails $13.95. You can also buy a coffee card on board. As we were very sick on our cruise (along with most passengers) we weren't drinking very much at all

Kids clubs are free during the day and so are the tenders to port.

The drinks package is $59 there is an error online which converts US $ twice making it dearer. We are just getting it when we get on board.

Not being big drinkers we didn't worry about the drinks package. I think the cocktails were $13.95. in Horizons buffet they have a very nice lemonade which is included so we drank a lot of that

Hi Denise, I wouldn't take the drinks package as I believe it is expensive. We also noted that the people who did take it paid more by prepurchasing online. You also need to take into account the days you are on shore in a port, you do not get value on those days, also the day you get on and the day you get off. Happy hour is the best value and a great place to meet people. Hope this helps.

Personally I would not take this package. To get value, you would end up pickled everyday. From memory most cocktails are $ 13.95 each and would qualify under the maximum $14 per drink. Quick maths tell me you would have to drink 5 cocktails a day to get value from this package. Plus you have onshore days when you have a fair chance of not being on the ship. You cannot be selective on the days you take its the whole cruise or nothing.
Far better value are the on board " happy hours ", twice a day 3.30 - 4.30 and 9.30 - 10.30, when you can buy a drink at the selected standard price and get a second drink for an extra $1.
