Accomodation in Doha in an fly from Sydney to Lisbon stopover.?

Pretty bad, out Hotel, transfers and meals were not booked even though our family checked numerous times with Flight Centre and Qatar and they emailed our booking references, it was still not arranged during our stopover, Qatar blamed the Hotel, Flight centre blamed Qatar and we still ended up footing the bill for everything. Very very poor service and organisation. Would not visit Doha again.

I stayed at the Doha Hilton. Great pool and private beach. Perfect for unwinding after a hectic Europe vacaction

This question should be quite easily answered by airline in question. My experience tells me that there is limit on weight and not on number of luggage.

This took literally 3 seconds to find, just google "qatar baggage limit" and look at "all other destinations" and "economy".
"30kg (66lb) and a maximum dimension of 300 cm (118in)"
Where you are allowed 2 pieces, it says "2 pieces".
It does NOT say that here, so logically only 1.
If in doubt, contact your agent or the airline direct.

Thanks. That's the conclusion I came to but it's not specific and I have baggage that is bulky rather than heavy. Tried ringing Qatar but kept on hold for ages without response.

Hi The name on your ticket should match exactly to the name in your passport.

Pretty angy about this as the booking form only asks for your first and last name. No passport number or anything else. Doesnt allow you to edit once processed. Will have to wait and see if they are going to charge me when I get to the airport to change this !

You can reach Qatar on 1300 340 600 but you may have to wait for half an hour or more to get through so leave aside plenty of waiting time.

I wouldn't rush to change your booking, because I found great service from the crew and I wouldn't know about any transfer penalties.. They do supply alcoholic drinks on flights and staff were very accommodating. I have booked the same airline and flights back to England in May, as generally I was pleased with the journey. I will post my judgement again at the end of May, so watch the feedback. I'd say, give them a chance.

It is not possible to book another airlines without any penalty. Atleast they will charge cancellation fee. Alcohol is being served on board.

Alcohol was served free of charge on our flight and our experience with Qatar Airways was fantastic... I give them 10/10!

AS far as I know, Qatar has a 30kg policy on all their routes. Since Qantas code shares with Qatar, I have contacted Qantas re baggage allowance & was informed they will honour the same allowance as Qatar

Waiting 15mins is usual .... If you ring and they say about 6-8 callers ahead of you, I would advice you to stay on hold but if its more callers, hang up immediately.
Unless you wanna go to their office in Collins street, there you will get served in 5 mins

Mark have a look at the small print at the end of her ticket. Usually there is a cancellation/transfer charge. I think with my ticket which was a special fare economy I was going to lose 150 but there was a process for applying for the rest to be refunded. Failing that cell Qatar which will have to do to cancel depending on how you initially booked? Online you have to call. Through a travel agent you can go ABD see them. Goo luck.
