Rip off refund
Asked me if I’d like a refund said yes charged me$1221 more than should of cost and basically said tough. Vouchers are a scam can’t use online and when you call charge you $1400 dollars more than online

Covid-19 flight
I feel Qatar airways took advantage of the situation and its price was extremely unreasonable.
I have never had a issue with its service until now.
Due to this I will no longer fly Qatar airways as i felt in the current situation it lacked empathy for people and knew customers needed to get home and have no other opution!!!
Never in the history of the aircraft has a one way economy ticket costed so high.

Different airline in the air and different on the ground.
From the rude short Large bob hair ‘blond’ manager at Sydney airport with over self importance to the dry faces at check -in to the call centre and support staff this airline is third world on the ground. As soon as you step into the plane it’s a different story and is bliss. What a crazy experience. They have no idea. Do fly Emirates for an all round consistent service.

I could not travel due to a government restriction banning people who had been to Iran from coming back so I cancelled and asked for a refund. After 7 weeks, no refund and they then spring a $770 cancellation fee on me as well. I will never fly with this thieving pack of so-and-so’s

Disgraceful service
I had flights booked with QA to Australia, I then had to change the dates to November due to COVID-19. I tried numerous times to do this over the phone but would be on hold for hours on end and the line would then cut off. I was forced to make the change online as it was getting closer to the departure date, and was charged 443 pounds to do so. I made a complaint to QA to try and get this back but was told that because I did not make the change online that I was not entitled to a refund. What an absolute joke.

Transit Nightmare Experience 1st April 2020
Dear Transit Passengers please keep in mind that you will not be able to enjoy any facilities while transiting in Hamad International. Our TODAY's experience of 21 hours of transit in Doha airport is a nightmare. They keep us at the Gate where we disembarked. They keep us as animals, we are ok as they checked our temperature on arrival but despite our long transit they don't care. We all have to stay at the same Gate for the duration of our ENTIRE transit!!! Be warned regarding transit conditions as they don't have any information on their official website. We will never fly with Qatar! Never ever again!

Unhelpful and unfeeling in covid19 crisis
We booked a holiday to Finland and Norway with a tour company. On Day 2 of our 19 day holiday the whole trip was cancelled due to the unfolding Covid 19 worldwide crisis. We were stranded in Helsinki. The airline we had been booked onto was Qatar Airways. From Helsinki there is no way of contacting Qatar airways. s because the flights had already been Half used ! By now it was after 5pm in a Friday afternoon. My daughters only option available to her was to phone Qatar Airways in Qatar. It ended up costing her over $300 in mobile phone charges. Qatar did finally change our flights but at a huge fee of $812.72. We were relieved to get flights out of Helsinki but devastated that Qatar were not compassionate enough to just change bookings free of charge at this time of crisis. Other travellers in our group were travelling on EMIRATES. Kudos to EMIRATES for speedily and freely getting their clients flights out of Finland at no charge because of this extraordinary crisis. Changing Flights Due To Covid-19
Qatar will change your flights 1 year from Ticket Issue date. Seriously, do Australians want to travel to the northern hemisphere in their cooler months? So you book & pay for your flight several months in advance for your European holiday and then covid-19 happens. Who is going to want to fly to Europe in cooler months. There should be an 18 month leeway for Australians travelling north to cover at least 12 months from their actual travel date not from ticket issue date.

go through that agency to change your booking. What happens if that agency is in liquidation now? Qatar don't want to know you & advise to go through the liquidator. But the liquidator only handles people who have lost money, not those who have a valid ticket. Good service, clean facilities and good value.
I flew Qatar after being abandoned by the travel company I went on a tour with in Italy. My flights were reasonable, the service was good, food ok and the toilets were kept clean which is my benchmark for carriers. They also flew into Canberra without having to go from International terminal to domestic which was great to breeze through customs here in Canberra instead of the line up in Sydney.

ave a 7 hour lay over, and to get the to let me out of the area we arrived in was challenging, but other were being held there with no water or food until they flights were being boarded. This caused significant stress for those concerned. I know it was to contain all of us who had flown from Italy, but it was poorly thought out and executed. Shocking Customer Support
Booked a flight Sydney to Venice and within a week received email notification of flight cancellation and to follow steps for refund which I did and received notification number, this is where it gets crappie, customers support is India based so there only response is to send in emails to customer support, I’m still waiting for a response and a refund weeks later!!!

very bad handling luggage
I am on disability pension frequent overseas traveler born in 1961 and this is my first experience with damaged luggage had no experience or knowledge to know how protecting myself against such situations.
Our luggage and some contains were missing, damaged, broken items handle and wheels off (had to carry the luggage and my back and hands are hurting now. luggage pictures provided).

Baggage weight reduction - very disappointing
We booked a return flight to Sydney with 45 kg and when we changed the return date they reduced the allowed weight to 30kg, instead of rectifying the mistake they said sorry and we can’t help you. They even asked for 1000 aud to take the 15kg bag

my son had paid with his visa card, in the airport the manager of Qatar airways said that they can’t accept the payment from my son unless he attends himself to confirm the payment or to

Miserable flights
I have tried contacting the airline but the Sydney office didn’t want to know and the compliment/complaint email won’t send. The flight from Perth to Doha was so cramped we were grateful for the enforced 22 hour stopover, due to a change in flight days after we booked. At least the requested bland meal was supplied. Rebooking fee - rip off - class action
I booked two international tickets Melbourne - Dublin Total $2400. I requested to change one flight to the next day (Manchester - Dublin). There was $35 increase to taxes and fare increase of $5 increase for the price of the flight and I have been requested to pay $630 per person (that’s $1260) which is the equivalent of a full international return flight from Melbourne to Dublin. oon because the reprocessing fee of $310 per person are disproportionately out of sync with practical costs for processing a fare change. There can be no justification for this cost when an airline has plenty of notice of the change and has received payment upfront for the flight 6 months in advance of the service being provided.They will be asked to provide a fee justification similar to the banks for their payment dishonour Fees. An airline will not be able to justify this in a court of law. A public class action might be beneficial so that this market self regulates and provides fairness to customers. Update 15/2/20 Qatar Airways are providing me with a written fee justification for their $620 ($310 per person airline rebooking fee). I am still waiting for this after a few weeks of my request. I have had to write 5 emails and placed 6 phone calls to them (1 hour each time). Worst service ever
Worst service I have ever received, from any company, ever.
I tried to purchase tickets on the 21/12/19 for the price of 1060 dollars. The transaction was declined and no tickets were issued. However a hold was put on my card for the full amount. Next was over two and a half hours of phone time spread over ten separate calls where Qatar was extremely unhelpful and refused to either email the bank in order to release the hold on my card, or put the transaction through and issue my tickets.

I still have not received anything from Qatar (valid 17/01/2020). Not one email or phone call, despite them having my money since the 21/12/20. Best airline I have ever flown with.
I Used Qatar for 4 flights. Australia to Doha, Then onto the Netherlands and back.
I have flown to 4 countries before and will now always stick with Qatar if I can.
The service was outstanding. I flew economy on all sections but felt like I was getting 5 star service.
Unless you are very tall. The legroom is more then adequate.
I don't sleep on flights and the air hostesses and hostesses, made sure I had drinks on hand, anything I asked for was always met with a smile.

Heed the Warnings Lest You Fall Victim
Sydney to Kiev via Doha.
Left Sydney early arrived Doha half hour late at 5.43am
A 380 Airbus with about 530 passengers.
Took 20 minutes to get off.
Another 20 minutes to get through transfer and security.
Left me about 2 minutes to get to connecting flight to Kiev. Doha is a huge airport. Gate on opposite side.
Not a snowflakes chance of making it in time.
NOW GET THIS !
Qatar blamed me for missing the connecting flight !! Remember they were half hour late getting in to Doha !!
