good deck space to add extras,handy compartments for storage. Tracking a bit sloppy without rudder. Overall a good fishing platform.

Bought this kayak a few weeks ago and there is nothing I don't love about it.
First, the price!!! Extremely reasonable considering that the Escape 12 comes with all the accessories you need to fish, 5 rod holders, anchor, seat, paddle, hatch, etc...
In terms of use, okay, it's not the fastest kayak on Earth, the weight (around 31kg) makes it a bit hard to 'push' at first, but it is extremely easy to steer, thanks to its Pilot Rudder System (included).
Now, the heavy weight makes the Escape 12 very stable, you can even stand-up paddle without any problem, that's how stable this beast is.
I would recommend it to every angler out there.

A bit Heavy to load on a car on your own, a bit slow.

This YAK is certainly worth close consideration if you are into fishing/touring inshore waterways and/or just having ablast cruising around. There is lots of room in the cockpit, easy access to storage areas, and it is an easy boat to move on the water, noting that the pilot rudder system is first rate in its application and effect.
Bottom line: if I lost it tomorrow, I would go get another one. Give it a go !

nothing really; console hatch could do away with the tension straps in way of elastic straps, but given the obvious design intent, still works well

It was very stable easy to paddle.nice and light to handle to put on roofracks.the seat was very comfortable,even after 3 hours non stop fishing.plenty of storage for drinks, food, dry cloths.the rudder sytem works great particually when condition are windy.its a very good looking kayak,lent of people have a look at it at local fishing spots.
