Reliable & Easy Clean Slow Cooker
The slow cooker is made out of light weight material and not easily stained. I would pay attention to the condensation on the side handles and what I usually do is just put a piece of paper towel below each handles to absorb any dripping. Simple settings without the overly complicated electronics yet does the job.

Good, large affordable slow cooker
This slow cooker is very cheap for its size and the job it does. Cooks meat perfectly and let's you make large meals in one go. Very easy to clean too as the design is quite simple. Would have been nice to have a keep warm function but for the price I guess you can't ask for too much. Can take a while to cook depending of what you're making but overall quite satisfied with this product.

This slow cooker takes forever to cook veggies
I bought this cooker from Target to cook food for my bub. The first time it worked perfectly on Auto so the congee, meat and all veggies were well cooked. However, things did not go well from the second time onward. I selected the Auto settings and left the slow cook overnight with plenty of water but carrot and other hard veggies were uncooked when I woke up in the next morning.

Love it!
I really love my slow cooker. It is completely easy to cook in and clean. Meat comes out tender and the sauce is delicious. Perfect for winter! Also really great if you have alot of people over for dinner. We were feeding six people, this cooker made it easy and tasty.

Slow food is the only food !!
I love my slow cooker. I find it tenderises the meat whilst not overcooking the vegies. I can put it on before I go to work and ohh la la its perfectly ready when I get home. Cleaning is a breeze as nothing sticks or overcooks. Flavour of food is superb. Always put it on Auto setting and it knows how to heat it.

To make this the perfect meal, all i needed was this slow cooker, my meat was falling off my fork, i didnt need to par boil potatos, or other vegs i just put it all together and this slow cooker did the rest, it was nice and hot - just the way i liked it. With easy cleaning this slow cooker was all plus more, not to mention the features, after comparing other slow cookers this one did set the standard!!

Great for singles and busy families
Makes a great meal very easy. Just add ingredient turn on and dinner is ready. Couldn't be easier. Easy to clean with removable insert non stick surface and searing option. With fast and slow cooking it gives you options depending on you time frame of 3 or 6 hour options.

Mostly good.
I have no problem with the way it cooks, only the way it is made. This latest one is not very old and the plastic dial has already cracked in half so you have to keep pliers nearby to turn the dial. This is the 3rd appliance I've had (not all the same brand) where the plastic dial or knob has cracked. Is plastic really the best material for constant heat!!!

Terrible
After our old sunbeam slow cooker broke and had to be thrown out, we purchased this one. Worst mistake ever! The lid does not sit flat on the bowl and it simply does not cook!. After having a casserole in for 7 hours on high the meat should be falling apart and veggies tender like in our old slow cooker, but no, the veggies are still hard and meat just cooked. Roast beef is tough and dry after also cooking for 7 hours. Give up and will be throwing this in the bin and not purchasing this brand again. Waste of money!!

Slow cooker boil cooker
Set on low never cooks, set on high and it just boils profusely. Had a stew in for 11 hours set on low and the vegetables were hard. Put on a lentil soup cooked on high in a hour. Not impressed .
Bowl is black and its hard to see baked on food which is then hard to clean off.

Fantastic
I have never used a slow cooker before. I always made casseroles in ceramic dishes which turned out OK but felt that the meal could be better. I kept hearing that slow cookers are great products so purchased this Russell Hobbs slow cooker. However, I read the previous reviews and was a bit worried that I would have problems. I made a beef stew with vegetables and cooked it for 6 hours. The taste was fantastic and the sauce was great. My husband loved the stew so am looking forward to a winter of slow cooked recipes. Also there was no fuss and the searing pan was great when I browned the meat. I also did not find it hot to touch and it was easy to clean.

Does not compare to my Breville. Worst ever reward points spend :(
It is thin and tinny. Slides all over the stove top when thickening. No cool to hold handles like my Brevillle. Very light weight and cooks too hot. Worst ever decision on spending my reward points :( Would definitely steer clear of this one and buy the Breville sear cooker.

Not great
First one overheated on low and burnt food. Second one that replaced it doesn't overheat but muck thin metal on outside is so easily dented that now wiring exposed to moisture. Really nit very safe. Cheap and nasty. Wish I'd hung onto my good old sunbeam. Was much more solid construction.

So far so good
Having recently started eating meat after 20 years I'm looking for easy ways to cook it that I can't really mess up. So far have made roast lamb, roast chicken (3 times) and a curry twice and it's been great. Only thing I would have loved is a timer to start porridge before we get up.
So good being able to start the cooking on the stove

Quality check
Purchased a 6 litre Russell Hobbs Cooker last month to replace the old RH cooker which believe it or not developed a hairline crack in the bottom which opened up when hot & leaked into the metal unit.
The new one has a warped glass lid that rocks on the ceramic cooker so there is quite a large air gap when you cook. That is it has a very poor seal. So luckily we kept the old glass lid which is perfectly flat (test the lid by just laying it on your bench top & see if you can rock it up & down) & guess what?
The lip on the ceramic cooker is a...Read more

Another Lemon
Like other reviewers, we were using our cooker to make a stew ...after 8 hours on auto, meat still not cooked properly and in desperation, we transferred to a pot and finished off on the stove. Fortunately the retailer was very sympathetic to our problem and we were able to return for a refund. Will look around a bit more next time and definitely not be buying a Russell Hobbs product!

Is the ceramic black pot inside oven proof? Our switch has broken so can’t use the outer part again but the big black pot could still be useful. Realise the lid handle would be no good in oven but could use tinfoil to replace.

I have got my slow cooker some years ago thru the Flyby program from Noel Leeming and enjoyed it very much. 2days ago when cooking Bone broth on Low setting, suddenly the glass cover exploded with a bang and broke into small crystal pieces. It even dropped into the cooked food which is very dangerous. I was frightened and never experienced this before. I still kept the crystal pieces. Your response to this matter is much appreciated. Thanks & regards.
