I use mine for holding all my music on a Micro SD card and load the same card up with ExploreOz maps it is fantastic for the vehicle.
When a home it is so quick to get in get the weather check the markets.
The Bluetooth makes it a pleasure to match up to in house devices, yes a real good device and I use it every day.
Serves my needs perfectly! I am loving how easily this tablet fits in my hand bag and it's just the right size for on board entertainment when I am flying. Or maybe I am just easily pleased? Haven't downloaded any apps other than the airline entertainment ones and the depending on usage, the battery feels like it lasts forever

Upgraded from a Samsung tablet that was 2.5 years old cos I'd broken the screen. While this model is smaller and is supposed to have more features, it's not quite up to the standard of my previous Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Still, for the money, it's been a good work horse. Just discovered the camera doesn't work so will be interested in seeing what the service is like under warranty. Fingers crossed!

A great device with fast and easy to use software. Not too big to hold in one hand but big enough to enjoy. I found this to be perfect for my requirements and not too expensive. you can get the same features on some cheaper tablets but they don't have the reliability of Samsung. I bought this to replace the Galaxy 10.1 that I bought in 2011, My daughter adopted that a year ago and it has taken a pounding. since then I will always trust Samsung over other products.

Great touchscreen and CPU for an excellent price. Recommended for students and as a primary home tablet. The only gripe is the fragility of the screen, buy a cover! This is the best value at this entry level and an excellent alternative to the equivalent Apple Ipad. Would buy another 8/10.

The screen, at first was a little bit of a disappointment, because I'm used to the Super AMOLED screen on the the galaxy tab P6800 and the my Sony Xperia Phone which has awesome color reproduction and depth, etc... but soon I realized that the marginally lower quality screen almost doubles the batter life! I can watch about 2 full movies before the battery drains out. Even in standby mode I've found the tab is very power efficient. It looses only about 5 to 7 % of the charge in 24 hours.
Other than that, it is slim and very light weight for ...
Read morea 8" device. So if you are NOT looking for bragging right about the screen, the TAB A has everything else going for it. Now the screen is not bad at all and everything is very legible and bright. It's just that the blacks are not deep black and colors don't pop as much as they do on higher end screens. In fact I think the screen is at par with the ipad mini- 7 reviews

A lovely unit, particularly the graphics, as good as I have seen on a tablet before. The sound is OK as well for something so small. It comes half charged, and seems to charge quickly enough. I googled for problems with this model and there seemed to be very few. But this is only day one with it so...

Entry Level tablet? I dont think so.
Does more than you want it do to. Gave these tablets to my twin sisters for their birthday. They love it. Does everything, to their homework, games such as minecraft and youtube. Battery life is just below an iPad but for the price, its one of the best value for money tablets out there.

Bought this in March and it has been fantastic. It has a microSD slot so the 16GB version I bought wasn't an issue. Loaded it with Netflix movies and series and served me well on several holidays. My friend has now bought one for her daughter and is considering buying another as it is super easy to use.

It is a good cheap tablet that is able to run a variety of tasks of everyday life without any hiccups. The screen is nice and sharp and the wifi connectivity has never given me any issues. Its battery life is very decent as well and is easily able to last me a few days with moderate use.

Got the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 inch model during a fire sale. Bought it under $250 and it is good value for its price. It will definitely satisfy most tablet users that does not use it to play graphic intensive games. An everyday usage is great and the battery life is pretty long as well. Multitasking can be done no problems with this tablet. Bought a second one for mum.

This product is a good physical size and easy to use. It was easy to set up and install all my apps. I find that I fill up its internal storage quite quickly with movies however. I would recommend this tablet for apps and internet browsing only for this reason.

If you are looking for a great all-round tablet with smooth functionality, this is definitely the purchase for you. From its bright and colourful screen, to its seamless multitasking, the galaxy tab is highly recommended. I watch lots of movies and enjoy using lots of apps, so i knew straight away that i had made the right decision!

Works wonderfully fast and a great choice for casual and moderately heavy use. It is perfect for media consumption but not so much for productivity. I have used it to open up documents from a cloud storage perfectly fine but images can turn up blurry and not as clear when compared to the same exact image opened up on another device. This turns out especially annoying when trying to use one note as pdf files become blurry and unreadable.

Impressive product, easy to use and great size. This enables me to access all the info I need on the run and watch movies when I travel plus the android apps are very handy. I would reccommend this tablet to anyone who wants the ease of convenience, style and cutting edge technology
I am very unhappy with the newest update. It now takes so many steps to move an app to the SD card. I also had to redownload almost all of my apps because of the update. It is to complicated to move apps to the SD card now. It is very frustrating. I really need them to make moving applications to the SD card easy again. Honestly if they don't fix it I might never get another samsung again. They changed the settings layout and it is very confusing. This samsung tablet has always been glitchy but now this is just frustrating. I could deal with th...
Read moree home screen glitching not allowing me to enter my password until it loads correctly. I could deal with apps randomly kicking me off. This is to much. Moving an app to the SD card was already annoying enough. You have to move the app to the SD card every time the app updates but now all these steps are too much. The App Store has also been slow and glitchy since the update. Samsung please make moving an app to the SD card like it was before or make it easier.- 7 reviews

This was a great purchase. the tablet is working great and fast. the battery is average. overall, very happy with it. I use it for reading my lecture notes for uni and my partner is using it for making video calls with her parents. the idea of having a micro SD slot is amazing. I tested it once and it worked fine but i dont use it on regular bases.

Great basic tablet for anyone without huge needs. Perfect for watching catch up tv, reading books and browsing the internet.
Light to hold and has a decent battery life. Changes significantly quicker than my previous tablet.
Expandable storage and very easy to transfer files over. So impressed I also bought one for my mother.

we've had this tab for about a year and a half now and it's good for our kids, the only issue is, once it gets below 50% power, it starts to turn off and on again on a loop. factory reset and restore does not fix the issue. other than that, good device.

I purchased one of these tablets for my dad so he could surf the net without having to use his computer. For that purpose it is ideal however seriously struggles with other tasks, such as watching high quality videos. Overall it's reasonable value for money, but a more recent model would have been more suitable.

Fantastic tablet for the price, bought the 8 inch version for portability and weight for travel. Samsung reliability and build quality, good resolution screen for the price, excellent battery life, charges in next to no time, I get around 4 days of moderate to heavy use, using it for about 4 hours a day, huge amount of accessories. Perfect android operating system, love it!

I didnt think i would be such a fan because I have used Apple products my whole life, but i have to say I am very impressed with the detail and quality of images. i use it for streaming and the speed is impressive. but what I noticed was it had a lightweight yet durable texture.
