For me this was a dud. Although this tv was not quite 4 yrs old it was used in the spare room, so it didn't get a great deal of use. Had no PlayStation or any other devices connected. Lost the picture all together and had sound only. At a guess i would think that it had about 1year use in terms of a tv you would use in the main room or loungroom

Good picture quality for the price
This is my second Samsung TV set and has been using for one year plus. It has good picture clarity. Some people say the Samsung picture tend to be more vivid, so this is good if you like the pictures like that. There are other sets that provide a more natural and muted color if that is your style.

Good quality picture and sound.
I have owned this product for seven months. The television was easy to set up. It has a clear picture. The sound quality is good, even when selecting the "music" option from the menu setting for "sound"; the speakers do a good job with no "rattles" from the television's cabinet. After a couple of days of use I did adjust the factory settings "down" for brightness. There is copious information on the www about how to tweak the factory settings for enhanced viewing pleasure. I would definitely buy another Samsung television set, in the future.

nICE TV wITH cLEAR pICTURES
Bought this TV last week. I am a big fan of sports hence watching sports was the main purpose. Does not disappoint at all. Clarity is good and easy on eyes. Energy rating is good enough and the price was competitive. I have kept it in our bedroom. Not too heavy and pretty stable on the desk. I guess even on a medium living room it will serve its purpose. There is no fancy stuff like 3D or wifi etc., I was not after those gimmicks anyways so don't matter. This TV does have the basic features with good quality pictures so if you are after a practical, good quality TV I would recommend this one. Will update here after a while on the positives and negatives.

Update May 2018: Still clear as. Better pic quality than the competitors even after 3.5 years.

Nice little secondary TV
Given the range and price of televisions these days - it is mostly personal preference. But as a loyal Samsung customer, this TV works well with the rest of the devices in our household. Simple to use and configure.
The main reason for writing this review is actually if you choose to wall mount the TV - then be aware that the mount points on the back are recessed deeper than average. It needs "M8 25mm" and some of the generic branded mounts sold by retailers (Harvey Norman in my case) didn't have appropriate screws and needed a different ...Read more
mount plate with larger screw holes to fit the right screws. I ended up contacting the manufacturer of the wall mount who has since rectified their stock and was kind enough to send me replacement parts. I'm sure in future most brands will be fine but there may still be old stock in stores so if you are looking to buy then I'd recommend checking (physically get the mount kit out while in store) to save hassles. Hope that helps :) price, easily integrated with other Samsung devices generic brand wall mount didn't fit TVSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I got this TV installed on the wall for $150. That included the labour charge. So I assume if you can install it yourself it would cost you around $50 - $60.
Sorry, but I do not know the answer.

Update: Still going strong. Have moved this TV to our small lounge room. Perfecto! No complaints so far and pretty happy with the purchase decision.
