if you are wanting to record TV with the NU7100 what is the best way to do it. I have upgraded from a 4 year old tv which was just a case of plugging in any HDD to the usb port and hit pause/record, now with a tv twice the price can not do it.

Hi I was a bit taken aback that the remote control included was not the smart control I am expecting. I am searching everywhere to to buy for it. But it seems that the smart controller is not compatible in this model 55inch series 7 Nu7100. Bought this on the the 24th Dec.
Can someone please advise? As otherwise I am keen to return this and get the newer model. Series 8 perhaps

Is this model full array local diming backlight system?

I do not believe it is as I used to own a tv with that feature and this specific tv if the light is on it does block and darken the viewing and so you have to move on an angle to get back the picture. I bought a wall bracket with angle feature so that I could move the television on an angle for better picture and viewing if the picture was hard to view and my lounge is quite dark anyway so don’t often have this problem during the day but if you have a very light/bright room then this would be very annoying. You do have to pay more for that feature but worth it if this is the case. UHD Dimming feature it has but this is only good for certain viewing experiences and as I mentioned it is hard to see picture with the light/glare on it. If you look up Samsung Model it will say all about it. Apparently UHD Dimming feature is not useful if you have a bright/light room or a glare on your tv so you will have to spend a bit more to get the Full Array Local Dimming TVs and wished I did now as it’s most annoying at times. Also at times if wifi connection is poor and tv disconnects all you do is hold your finger on the on/off red button on your Samsung remote until the SAMSUNG SMART TV logo appear and it connects itself. Clever.

I personally was annoyed with the sound quality as it sounded a bit tinny but it depends what size tv you bought as I was told the bigger tvs have good sound and the 32,40 and 43 not so good. My 43 inch sounds way better now with a Soundbar and everyone else in the house agrees. You do not need to spend much to get a better sounding tv as we went for a cheap Soundbar and has done the job. Was told to get the Soundbar/bas speaker combo as Soundbar alone is not as good sounding.

Hi, I don’t have Foxtel so I’m not sure but I watch lots of 4K videos from YouTube so I think Foxtel 4K should be supported by this TV. Thanks.

Hi Hutcho, thanks for your question. The UA75NU7100WXXY NU7100 Series 7 does support Foxtel 4K IQ4 - When you plug in the HDMI cable, you must turn on the setting for 4K of connected port via Settings and the image will be displayed in 4K - As it defaults to OFF when you plug in the HDMI you must change this setting manually after you plug it in.
