Hi, would you be able to let us know the full model of your TV so we can look into this? You can locate this on the compliance sticker at the back of the unit.

If you are unable to view videos from your USB on your RU7100, this may due to the video codec.

Hi recent purchase this tv and having troubles connecting a fetch mighty. The tv recognises the input even though you can select fetch as input device just keeps mentioning to check the connections. I have reconnected the fetch to my old 50 in tv and a 20in tv and works perfectly. Are you able to offer assistance with this problem.

I had a similar issue and it was my HDMI cable that worked on my old TV but not the new one. Bought a new one and solved my problem

What's up with the wide stance on most TVs in this category? I would have already got this in a 50 inch if it had a central stand or at least the option to go narrow like the Panasonic gx models.

1 answer

I do not find it to be much of a problem, my last Samsung was on a central stand and this one has the 2 stands, but the soundbar nestles in there quite well and has some moulding around it to put it snug up against the stand almost making it one complete piece.

Why doesn’t my Samsung 7 65” TV play avi files / some mkv files? My Samsung 6 series played them without any problems. I would never have bought this TV if I had known it could not process common codecs.

The RU7100 can play AVI and MKV. If you are experiencing difficulties with your video files, we recommend for you to contact the content distributors.

But the very same files play perfectly on my Samsung 6 series, so it is obviously not an issue for the distributor.

Samsung
AdaSamsung

This also depends on the various containers that AVI files use, how the video is compressed and its codecs. If you believe there may be a fault with your TV in regard to this, I recommend for you to contact our Customer Care team on 1300 362 603 so that we can look into this for you.

The VA panel the RU series use have a notably smaller viewing angle that the IPS panel used in LG equivalent models. VA panels do however give better black levels.
