    OK Washing machine

    published

The Samsung washing machine was recalled for being faulty and starting fires.
This aside, the washing machine is ok. Without the middle cyclinder the washing machine knots the clothes up and tangles them when you try to remove them. Also think it may stretch the sleeves of jumpers because of this.
Otherwise the wash cycle isn't too bad.

    Really good

    published

I've had this washing machine for about 5 years and it still works well. It has always washed and rinsed well. With the diamond drum, its extra strong. Its not super quiet but I tend to put big loads on. I like how it plays the music at the end of the cycle.

    Washing machine worth to buy

    published

I've own this machine now (8kg model) for over 2 years and so far so good. It does what it promises. The lint filter works well. I mostly use the auto function (sensor) and it seems to get the job done. With man features: Mist Shower - Diamond drum - Magic Filter - Memory - Child lock - Quick Wash - Delicates/Hand Wash - Delay Start.

Black Flakes, Lint Left on Washing, Out of Balance.

    published

Worst washing machine ever!!!!. First problem is that the machine gets out of balance then reverts to previous cycle which then uses more water and power. A service technician suggested that I balance out the washing (e.g two towels, two sheets, no odd numbers, how ridiculous is this!!!) Lint gets stuck on the washing and is not easy to get off. The worst problem is the black flakes. I have used the suggestions of the technicians, hot water washes, white vinegar, epsom salts, scalex to no avail. They will send out technicians, but if they find nothing wrong you are than charged which was the case with me. I bought the machine in 2013. Would never buy another Samsung and would not recommend this machine.

    Black Flakes in Washing

    published

We had the black flake problem in our washing and tried everything to fix it with no success. We disposed of a relatively new machine at the local tip and went back to Simpson. Since then I have been told that it is actually the inlet water hoses which cause the problem. Apparently if you take the hoses off and soak them overnight in a strong bleach solution it kills all the bacteria which builds up in the hoses and causes the flake problem. As we have got rid of the machine we cant check the validity of this method but it may be worth a try.

    So far so good.

    published

Have just purchased the Samsung 7kilo machine. There are only two in our house and this machine handles the load every other say - a great water saving, which is number one benefit.
The washing action is good, lint filter works well, spin cycle does not tangle clothes. So far, nothing is annoying me about this machine.
Does the job you want it to and quietly. Water efficient, gentle on clothes - great machine.
Design feature problem only - I would have liked it on wheels so that I could clean underneath easily.

    SW70SPWIP

I have a Samsung sw70sp washing machine which, after doing a wash cycle today, found that there was a lot of algae looking substances in the clothes... On reading the user guide, it suggests doing a "clean tub program" every 1-3 months, but it doesn't explain how to do this program.... Can you please help.
    Thank you,
    Richard.

On my model there is a program on the panel that says "clean tub". I simply press the "Program" button until the "Clean Tub" is illuminated and let press "start". then simply let it do it's own thing.

I have tried everything suggested- never will buy Samsung again- and never had black flakes with any other brand of washing machine . It's less than 1 year old- to the dump now- and never recommend Samsung to my worst enemy. They have a litany of excuses- a mile long. Very poor quality! They either electrocute you or grubby your clothes these days!! Shame Samsung!!!!!
