Do you have a higher weight available? 9 to 10KG?? Any real issues with the machine??
How is after service? Available??

Nishan

Well there is the 10kg model, but slightly different to this one. You can see the available models at: http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/home-appliances/laundry-appliances/
I have the machine for 10 months and no issues whatsoever. There is a standard warranty, and you also pay extra for an extended warranty.

My machine keeps stopping with 16min to go so i have to manually start it again. Anyone else with this prob. Am i doing anythihg wrong? Or is there a malfunction with the electronics

1 answer
Jayel
Jayel

I have not had this problem. I guess the question is; does it do on every program i.e quick wash, blanket etc? Does it do it during the last spin cycle even if you set the time manually? Cause if it does it no matter what then it's probably a fault rather than user error.

I'm thinking of purchasing this machine, just wondering if anyone has experienced any problems yet?
Also how many towels would you fit into it? Just trying to gauge the size compared to my current machine.
Thanks!

Hi, still very happy with the machine, as to towels I guess that would depend on their size but of average size probably 8 would fit, I don't like to overload the machine.

Yes, huge capacity and some great reviews but make sure your washing machine space can accommodate the outlet on the left hand side of the machine! Good luck.

Just wondering if someone can tell me if this is the latest 8.5 kg model from Samsung or is it being replaced by the WA85J6750SW model? I'm looking to buy a Samsung but not sure which one to purchase. I'm interested to read some reviews on the SW model if anyone has seen some?

5 answers

I think the WA85J6750SW has replaced it, as there are more electronics, a different drum, and it looks like it came out this year. But we are very happy with the WA85F7S6DRA so far, its a good machine

Can I fit a hinged lid To my old Samsung washer?

We have just moved to a unit and need space for the dryer.

Thanks Barbara

2 answers

I don't think so. You might be better to get a front loader so you can sit the dryer on top.

Regular on pr.c

Sorry cannot tell you but I would contact Samsung at www.samsung.com/au/support/ or drop into a washing machine repair shop near you and ask the repair staff. A third option would be to measure your existing lid and photograph the hinges and visit a store and see if you think the new model hinged lid could work.

We always use powder, and no problems, sorry, I don't know how liquid works in this machine.

I have always preferred liquid rather than powder so i'm not sure how this machine would go with powder. You could try it though and see how it goes :)

Can anyone tell me how long the soak time is in the Soak cycle? I am considering buying one but soak time is important to me. I rang Samsung customer service yesterday but they were not able to help and asked me to call back when I could speak to someone in advanced technical support. It was a very frustrating phone call as it took so long for the customer service representative to understand what I was saying and even though I said right at the beginning of the conversation that I already had both the specifications and the user manual in front of me on the computer, neither of which had the answer, he started reading the specifications initially and then the user manual.

It varies depending on your water level, but I just went and turned mine on to find out for you, and at the maximum water level (10) the digital timer on the machine said an hour and 43 minutes. When I soak stuff overnight though I usually just fill the tub to cover the stuff, let it agitate for a few minutes and then turn it off and let the items soak. When i'm ready to wash them, I turn the machine on, start a cycle and choose "spin" to drain all the water, then start a fresh cycle as normal to wash them.

Lisa
Lisa

I can't find the button to edit my answer, but the soak time for the lowest water level (1) said an hour and 23 minutes.

Thank you Lissa! Your prompt response and willingness to help is much appreciated:-) I have decided to go ahead with a Samsung instead of F & P.

Does this machine leave lint on clothes? As there is a review for the 7.5Kg model saying it leaves lint all over his clothes: /p/samsung-wa75f5s6dra-sa.html

It doesn't at all! Like I said in my review we first purchased a 9kg samsung and even though the filters seemed similar it left lint form the first wash. This one doesn't all. They do have some recommendations to avoid lint (like frequently cleaning filters which I only do once a month and making sure that the top of filters isn't covered with load and water. I haven't had any lint or other issues.

Lisa
Lisa

Mine hasn't left any lint on my clothes at all :) In fact some of my stuff has come out with less lint than it went in with. The lint traps are fantastic.

JayBee
JayBee

I read that 7.5kg review as well (plus a few others) regarding lint issues and find it difficult to believe. I have an older 6.0kg Samsung at my rented place (same trap design) and it works flawlessly - wash a fine cotton sheet, barely any lint in the trap; wash a few fluffy towels and it's got a tablespoon full; forgot that tissue in a pocket, it does a pretty good job of catching most of it. Away on work overseas I use laundry facilities where there is 14 machines of Samsung, Panasonic, LG and Toshiba. The Samsung and LG are the small and mid sized machines. The LG's frequently have something wrong with them, busted lint traps, faulty agitators at the bottom I've noticed, the Samsungs really seem to be a bit more robust but tennants (and there's like 600 in the building) are a bit rough on the lint traps (if they ever clean them at all) and believe it or not manage to flip the little rubber flap the wrong way so the trap is bypassed as evidenced by all the debris caught behind the trap on the drum wall. Not saying that's the reason for others reporting lint problems, but I'd suspect something wrong with the trap or the plumbing behind which channels water through the trap during operation (kink in a hose maybe or hose clamp in the wrong spot, I've not pulled a machine apart yet to investigate).

Also have a top-line Samsung front loader and it works like a dream - there seems like a lot of nifty front loaders on the market these days wooing you with this or that feature but frankly I'd be hard pressed to walk away from Samsung washers, they just work superbly.

Fantastic! I use it a lot. I usually put items in wash bags though just in case although there doesn't seem to be anything sharp in the tub that could catch. The items come out fresh and clean and not creased or entangled

I use the gentle cycle a lot, too, and I love it. Nothing bad to report!

I use to have a washer with out a agitator and it took me 15 min to untangle the cloths how is Samsung WA85F7S6DRA with this that is the only thing holding back from buying it ?

Personally I haven't experienced any issues with tangling and I have tried all of different cycles. I hope that helps

Lisa

I've done many loads in mine already, and I haven't had to untangle anything at all :) I actually had more trouble with that with my old machine that had an agitator.

Mary
Mary

Was worried about getting a washer without a agitator, but after being talked into it by husband, I love it, never had any problems with it. I have started to use my white sheets again as they come out so white. Best washer I have ever owned.
