Italian class.

Best drink Chinotto by far. Cola has nothing on it. Chinotto by far superior. God bless Italy. Other great flavours as well.

re chinotto - website totally misleading. Product purchased doesn't contain chinotto oranges as says on website. Contains sugar & syrups only

Undrinkable Sugary Syrup !!

published

What on earth have San Pellegrino done to their Chinotto??? I just bought 2 cans (yes it came in damn cans) AND it consists of Glucose-Fructose Syrup and Sugar - and water..!! I literally felt quite ill after consuming such a revoltingly sickly sweet syrup. NEVER AGAIN.

Perfect Drink

published

This drink is best consumed icy cold in a glass. Goes well with any meal, from pasta, pizza to a nice steak. It's an unusual citrus and herbal flavour that dries on the pallet after each sip. And, this drink does not have that sickly super sweet taste of Coca Cola that ways me down after a few sips.
I love the refreshing taste
Usually $3.50 or so for the large bottle

Truly horrible after taste

published

It really isn't that nice. I don't mind some of the drinks that other people can't stand. I like a good sarsaparilla for example. After the first mouthful I thought it was a little odd. By the end of the bottle the after taste was becoming too much to put up with. Best avoided.
Initial taste reminds me of some old style cola's but with a hint of orange
The after taste is simply awful

I love chinotto. It is superior to cola drinks. Enhances a pizza meal especially.

I love chinotto

Chinotto is an refreshing drink to enjoy cold or at room temperature. It tastes slightly bitter but if you have the taste it will become one of your favourite drinks. The bottles are very useful after you have finished your Chinotto. I am 13 years old and I really enjoy it, which is quite unusual as most young people don't like the taste. Those with a more gourmet, culturally diverse and mature taste will enjoy.
It tastes wonderful, is very refreshing, the empty bottle is useful and it has a lot less calories compared to other soft drinks,
Quite expensive when purchased from Woolworths.

An absolute treat

published

It is a wonderful compliment to any Italian style dinner. At first it seems to have a bitter taste but shortly after the beautiful taste is discovered. Best enjoyed very cold in a glass full of ice. The after taste is to die for.
An acquired taste but a treat only some will discover.
The bottles are only 200ml but I recently found that they make cans 375ml but never seen them in restaurants.

From memory, we bought a carton of it at Coles. My review was over 2 years ago. :)

Hi, Chinotto can be purchased at Foodland in SA. You could check Coles or Woolworths but it will not be in the same isle as Coke & Pepsi products.
