Only useful for the simplest of jobs

published

Used Selleys BBQ Tough Clean on a Weber stainless steel grate. Process used was to clean the grill as much a possible, sprayed on the Selleys product, left for two hours, cleaned, sprayed again and left for another hour, cleaned, then sprayed again and left for a 5 days inside a garbage bag. Still not clean. Even harsh scrubbing did not remove the offending grime. So this product is quite useless for the tough jobs. Fail.

Purchased in March 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse.

Amazing results on a BBQ with 10 year old buildup of grime

published

We have a well utilized stainless 6 burner BBQ with 10 years of grime built up on the inside. Rather than buy a new BBQ, I decided to give this stuff a go. You need to put the BBQ in the shade as the sun causes the foam to go flat and dry out. I left it for 3 hours and the muck just fell off. A pressure cleaner saved a lot of scraping.

Purchased in May 2021 for A$11.50.

Good cleaner

published

I used the pump action spray bottle and found it cut through the grease quite well. I wasn't expecting any miracles, but found it to be way better than any detergent, but not as good as caustic oven cleaner (no good on aluminium bbq's anyway) and a lot less harmful to the skin. A bit pricey for a bottle of cleaner though, unless you can find it on special.

Awesome for combustion heater glass

published

So I haven't used this product to clean a BBQ but I would say it is awesome for cleaning the glass on my combustion fire. I have always had to use a scraper and scourer to clean the caked on creosote that builds up, but this stuff I picked up with little expectations and discovered fantastic results! For the people complaining it doesn't do much on their BBQ, I would recommend you let it sit for about 5 hours before cleaning, 20mins will do nothing.

Don't waste your time

This would be the wort product I've ever purchased from Selleys - Took more time to clean up the mess it left than it would have to buy and build a new BBQ - Total rubbish!!

Should be called "Selleys BBQ Rough" not "tough"

published

I purchased this product after seeing all of the hype on TV about how good it was. The guy sat drinking beer whilst this product went to work - really is a sick joke!! I wouldn't even score this product a 1 out of ten.

Useless

published

Less than useless, it was harder to clean the mess left by the foam than it was eventually to clean the grill using a better product, might as well have used water.
