Fantastic dryer
The Siemens iQ800 dryer has been a great dryer as it is very quiet, and being a heat pump dryer, does not make the laundry hot or damp.
The drum fits quite a large load and the results are quite good. Very low on wrinkles and we have not noticed any shrinking of clothes so far.
We have the matching IQ800 washer and this dryer stacks on top of it perfectly (with a stacking kit). Ours was plumbed into the drain, but apparently you can also have it not plumbed in, but you have to empty the water after each use.
There is a filter that needs to be cleaned out regularly, but this is an easy task as it is located at the door.
Very happy with the dryer so far.
Purchased in June 2021 at Appliances Online.

Best dryer ever - don't know how I lived without this
This dryer is quiet and efficient am loving it so far, I just got it last week the only negative comment is why did you drop your warranty from 5 years down to two? I love it so much I have now ordered the matching washer, even though my washer is still ok. Loving the layered lint collection and not having to clean the condenser too.

Best Dryer Ever and worth every Cent!
having struggled with a previous brand of similar design and trialled a few others, this one recommended by FWC Morley is a real gem. the Bench test of the towels time to dry we had on a different brand up to 3 hours! This one - 55 minutes! yes, better than a "standard dusty" dryer. the reported times to finish absolutely accurate, no noise to worry the sleeping family either. the dual door filter is great idea and not filters over the condenser to fuss with. We have selected the standard built-in drying for towels, cottons and mixed and ...Read more
each one is great. The thick clothes like heavy jeans needs to be put on extra dry, but all quickly dry. A set of King sheets and 4 pillow cases went through and no balling up. A king size comforter needed 2 standard cycles but I was expecting more. so we have found a great dryer at last!

Great dryer with a 5 year warranty
To get the perfect dry we had try a lot of the different settings when we first got it. Now it gives us a fantastic dry of the clothes every single time.
I love how you can use the non heat dry function, so you can dry delicates and items which can't be heated to a high temperature.
We purchased it because we wanted to be Eco friendly with cloth nappies.
It's nice and quiet and comes with the plumbing to connect drain hose to under the sink. I do like there are layers of lint collectors.

Better than the previous model WT48Y780AU
We owned the previous model, this dryer has a larger capacity 9kg, it is a quieter faster dryer and does not seem to roll the sheets into a tight ball! more of a loose ball... can't win.
Only disappointment is cosmetically the new black door and the trim is now silver matt where it was chrome and white previously so it does not match the washer now.
The matching washer to this dryer has a different type of screen (LED) rather than LCD so it does not match either which seems odd or there are further models on the way that will match?

recommend this machine. October 18th 2017 Update: Second purchase! Just replaced the Airbnb Electrolux 6 star energy rated heat pump dryer as it was just taking way too long to dry loads. Purchased "another" Siemens IQ800 WT47Y7W0AU because we know they are outstanding for running costs, load capacity, quiet and fast drying. Only disappointment is the w/tee has now been reduced from 5 year to 2 year.1 comment

Siemens Dryer - WT47Y7W0AU
I replaced an almost new tumble dryer with this Siemens IQ800 and I am so much happier. My other machine just pulled all the clothes into a tight ball and didn't dry them properly. (see my other reviews)
This dryer is so much better. The other machine apart from pulling the clothes into a ball which stopped them drying properly also always left them feeling a little bit damp. This dyer while it doesn't over dry the clothes does dry them to the point where you do think that they are properly dry. I've had it now for 3 months and haven't had a problem. It's much easier to clean the lint filter and its quiet and quick.

than 4 months old. The child lock has mysteriously just turned itself on and cannot be turned off.I have followed the instructions in the manual to turn it off and that doesn't work. I have then called Siemens and been advised to try turning off the machine for half an hour and then turn it back on (so that it apparently returns to factory settings) and that doesn't work. I have now called their service company and booked it in for a service call. No one can come for a week and I can only find out on the morning of the scheduled call whether they will come in the morning or afternoon by calling the technician! This is not what I would call service!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
