Thick hair down to my waist and she tames the beast
Wow! I have been a GHD owner for eternity but I was never happy. At the end of the day I would have uncontrollable ugly mane from whatever my day has thrown at me and I never had dead straight hair. With this one on first try I thought this has got to be too good to be true. It will be broken in a week. I felt like I had just had Kim Kardashians New dead straight ultra long weave put in and I honestly had a little tear because of how perfect my hair was. I haven't even had this result from a salon before
I have been using this since December ...Read more

IN LOVE
The best straightener I've ever used. I have thick, curly hair and what usually takes me over and hour with a remington, Muk or GHD now only takes me 15 minutes and does an even better job than any others. It stays straighter for longer and makes my hair super thin. Absolutely love it 11/10 stars from me.

Went on fire
Have had the silver bullet for literally 2 MONTHS. It kept making a clicking noise. As i was straightening my hair I put it down for a second so I could put my hair down, the straightener's plate went on fire. It went on fire then quickly turned off. Worst Straightener Ever.

Unreliable and short life
This is the second Silver Bullet Straightener I have purchased. I should have learned from the first one- it lasted 18 months before not working properly. I was told this was unusual. So silly me bought another one as I couldn't afford a ghd. This one- a 230 ceramic- hadn't even lasted that long! Maybe 14 months at best. The heat became intermittent until today when it has stopped working all together. I will never buy another one. And good luck finding the manufacturers website to give feedback. I'm very disappointed. I know someone who has had their ghd for eight years- you won't get a quarter of that time from silver bullet. Buyer beware.

Very pleased
my first hair straightener was brevele branded, max temperature of 180 and didn't work. I remember asking my mum if I could have hers and she kindly said yes. A year on, and it has been very handy and successful. It can straighten my hair within an hour or two, lasting either a few days (if I rush it) or weeks if done properly. I find this great, since it can be hard to straighten my hair as I have quite curly and thick light brown hair. The only problem I've had with it is when it automatically stops producing heat, which I believe is to preve...Read more
nt it from over heating and burning my hands. I have noticed that my hair has become slightly damaged from it, but that's my fault for never using a heat protectant. Overall it's excellent and It would be my recommendation.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

2nd Silver Bullet to die in less than a year!
I bought this Silver Bullet about 7 months ago and now it doesn't work. When I turn it on, it keeps turning it's self off and I lost the receipt so I can't get it fixed. This is the 2nd Silver Bullet I've had that has stopped working in less than a year. I won't be buying another!

Works For Me!
I bought my hair straighter from eBay. I ordered it all the way from Sydney. I have to say, the wait was totally worth it.
My Silver Bullet keratin 230 titanium never EVER disappoints me. It works perfectly!
And guess what, it even came with a wonderful bonus!
Don't hesitate, buy yours now!

Better than GHD!
Bought myself a GHD eclipse less than 2 years ago and it's shat itself.. won't heat up anymore, light keeps flashing, won't even turn on properly.
Bought my silver bullet around 5 years ago - never given me any problems, has the benefit of adjusting the heat temperature.. never looking back!
Highly recommend

Amazing For Its Price
I bought the Silver Bullet Keratin 230 Titanium (limited edition gold) for my mum for mother's day. I own a glampalm, and in comparison to glampalm, it isn't as smooth or from what I've read other people describe the silver bullet as "hot knife through butter". Don't get me wrong, it's a smooth glide, but I have seen smoother. However, it does the job very quickly - takes one go for it to straighten out hair.
I think it isn't as smooth because it's titanium rather than ceramic. I've read that titanium is better than ceramic as there is a mo...Read more
re even distribution of heat on the plates. Also, if a ceramic straighter is dropped, the plates can chip and cause that horrible hair pulling problem. All in all, my mother loved it and I really don't see any fault in it. If you're not looking to spend over 200 for a hair straightener, this is the one to go with. Don't bother with all those VS and Remington crap because they will break down eventually with their crappy heat settings and plates.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not a quality product
I purchased my straightener about 2 years ago. It certainly gave good results. I have only used it about 25 times, the straightener was stored correctly. Turned it on today and it's not working.

Great hair straightener
I really like it. My ghd stopped working and did not want to spend $250 on a ghd. I honestly think it works alot better than the ghd and alot cheaper. I was really worried about getting this with not many reviews on it but got to try it out at the shaver shop first before i bought it really happy

Works Like a Hot Knife Through Butter
Having Wavy, Dry and Unruly hair I'm always super fussy in choosing the best hair products and tools. When my GHD stopped working I wanted the best flat iron I could find, however did not want to pay top dollar for another GHD or Cloud Nine iron. After searching the internet and looking at just about absolutely every flat iron on the market, I came across the Silver Bullet Keratin 230 Titanium. It really stood out from the others IMO with it's stylish shiny silver plates, LED Display and Variable Temperature Settings to 230 degrees. The titani...Read more
um plates are supposed to be friction free and also penetrate the hair quicker than ceramic so I decided to take the plunge and buy it. I could not be happier!! This iron glides through my hair unruly like a hot knife through butter with no snagging or friction what so ever. The results are sleek, straight, shiny hair in no time at all. It has honestly surpassed my expectations and works even better than my GHD ever did. I'm so glad I bought this iron. After shopping around, the best price I found was through sydneysalonsupplies.com.au for $109.00. It came in a pack which also included a Silver Bullet Paddle Brush, 4 x Crocodile Clips, Styling Comb and Heat Resistant Mat. I would highly recommend this straighter. Best Hair Straightening Iron Ever!!
Having waist length thick wavy hair I was looking for a straightening Iron that performed. I have used Muster, Remington Wet to Straight and GHD. After using the silver bullet keratin for a month I am extremely impressed. It is worth every cent and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. It leaves my hair silky smooth and dead straight and it’s the only straightening iron I have used that still leaves my hair straight after a night’s sleep. The only issue I have with it is it could have plates twice as wide to cater for those with really long thic...Read more
k hair like mine. Even though it takes me 45 minutes to get the job done it is still worth it for the end result. Long cord, fast heat up and leaves hair shiny and dead straight No storage bag came with it and could have wider plates1 comment

Great Straightener loving it
I used this a few times now and I thought of writing a review for people looking to buy this.
Userbility 10/10 - This straightener heats up in no time and its ready to use. That is one point I love about it.
Performance 9/10 - I'm a guy and I have short hair this straightener needs some getting use to when you have short hair. I got this from hairhouse warehouse and the lady at the shop suggested this over the GHD slimline. I haven't used the ghd but this works well for me.
As a guy I would recommend this to any one with over 2cm/1 inch long hair. any shorter and you will not be able to use this. Wish these guys made a mini for guys....
Fast heat up,Long cord
The blades are a bit wide for shorter hair.

Fast and easy
Heats up in 10 seconds! Adjustable heat from 80C to 230C, which gives you variety of hair styling from naturally straight to poker straight. This is great for adjusting to your hair type too. I have very fine hair so don't want to risk burning it, but even the hot settings don't dry it out.
Curls are really easy to do with this straightener.
Super fast, light and easy to use. Leaves the hair just how I styled it all day.
Curling took a bit to get used to, but I now find it really simple.

Is this better than the Muk 230-IR Straightner?
I am looking for a new straightener after I stepped on my Original Wide Plate GHD that I have had for 13 years and which never skipped a beat. Very devastated.
I am tossing between the Silver Bullet Keratin 230 and the Muk 230-IR Straightener.
I have very thick, frizzy, long, black Polynesian hair
Has anyone used both of these products?

I have a ghd platinum that I am fairly happy with, I have long, very thick quite coarse hair and like to straighten and curl my hair, I have recently read some rave reviews about the silver bullet keratin 230 and just wondered if someone with similar hair to me has had a good experience with this straightener?

Hello Danica. I would be VERY wary of buying a Silver bullet hair straightener. Look at the reviews...they are either love it, or hate it. They are very very inconsistent and this is exactly what this product is!! I have just bought TWO of them (one for me and one for my daughter) from Sydney hair salon and they both worked fine for 8 weeks then started faulting. As in: they do not work at all - light turns on but it remains completely cold, they spasmodically heat up to half the heat required sometimes, for the first 2 months they sometimes work perfectly, they are completely unreliable.
Just beware thats all! looks like it could be pot luck with these straighteners....some a good....some are crap.
Thank you so much for your help, I think I will stick to my ghd. All the retailers selling them only say it's great so it is really good to receive an honest opinion. Thank you again for your help!

They do have the exact same straightener with wider plates, I was at my wholesaler today and they only had the silver bullet with wide plates. You just have to look around. :)
