Hi all,
We are thinking of upgrading from a Kia cerato sedan 2012 (which is a fantastic car btw) to a new Skoda fabia wagon auto. The engine 1.0 tsi. What I would like to know if this engine is powerful enough to carry 4 adults mostly in city and at times longer trips? I understand the new engine is a turbo engine but I would like some of daily users opinions. Thanks
Has anyone had ongoing issues related to spark plugs? I have a 2013 Fabia I bought new and every year I have experienced issues intermittently where the car starts to shudder, three warning lights come on and then it loses power. This has happened seven or eight times since I bought the car and every time it has come back to something to do with spark plugs, A couple of times one of the leads had popped off, another time the mechanic had the car for two days trying to work it out and then found that all the plugs had worn out. He said he had never seen spark plugs that worn. The next time it happened roadside assist came out and when they touched a lead it snapped off. And now a year later it has happened again and is at the mechanic getting checked, started shuddering, warning lights on and no power. I am wondering if this is a common issue with this model.
Stop-start feature thoughts? I really hate this concept I must admit, has prevented me buying a Fabia Wagon.

Read morell know whats wrong. I did have trouble with my electrics and my lights went out once. But it has never happened again. Unfortunately I am tall and my knee is near the light switch so it could be something to do with this.
The car has only done 300 kms since pickup 4 ago, and driving from the dealer to home (the first 40 kms ) I noticed a bit of a whine from the engine when slowing, but ok under load. I thought could be the turbo or the 3 cylinder engine. The whine has increased and is now also noticeable under load. It sounds like diff whine which I experienced in one of my old cars years ago. Has anybody had a similar experience? or have I a problem. I will be going back to the dealer shortly.

Does anyone own a 2013 Plated Fabia, that can tell me do you have oil consumption problems or any other info please
They all do regardless what a dealership tell you, polo gti, audi ?? all share the same oil consumption problem and its been 3 years and there still is no real fix just constant stuff around from VW and oil consumption tests.
I bought one in Mar, only done 800km no oil issue yet, probably too early to tell. The car has done about 5800km to date.
I have a 2011 1.2 tsi with 30,000km on it, burns no oil at all, it has done 10,000 since the last change and it still reads full, from what i can tell it probably burnt 100ml max.
