Not sure where they got that many 5* reviews but definitely too soft for myself. I had to lay on the side when I sleep and now the mattress is left in storage.
My Sleep Republic mattress was extremely soft even for one person it felt like the spings/coils were too short/small support the mattress upper layers. I bought this ages ago and only decided to write a review now because I just received an EOFY sale email notification. Made in China.

We ordered the mattress after reading many positive reviews. It was top rated by Choice and on Product Review.
It was a bit too firm for us, so after a few weeks, we organised a return. This process was easy just like the website stated. There were no loopholes, just needed to email through a couple of photos to show the condition. We were then contacted within a few days by the Salvation Army who picked it up within the fortnight. The refund processed immediately.
The quality of the mattress was great, just firmer than we were used to. Otherwise a great experience with this company.

We ordered our mattress and the website stated there were delays in delivery. Surprisingly our mattress and base arrived in two days.
I realized at this point I had ordered the wrong colour for the base. Within 12 hours I received a reply email and they had posted a new cover at no charge. Amazing customer experience.
The bed is really comfy. I decided on sleep republic after reading it was the best recommendation for back pain by the bedbuyer experts. So happy with our purchase.

This mattress started off great for the first few months.
Then I started waking up with hip pain which is quite unusual for a fit 24 year old.
I am still waking up with hip pain 1 year later! The mattress also sinks in and sitting up in the bed is so uncomfortable it’s as if I can feel the springs?
I’m disappointed this mattress hasn’t lasted and wanted to write this review as I only see recent reviews on here.

My bursitis and lower back pain is improving! So comfortable and supportive. Haven’t noticed any sagging like our last foam mattress. Great nights sleep. No movement felt by either myself or my husband.

The mattress for me is firm but perfect. My wife took a few more days to adjust. This mattress was purchased at the time of me struggling with 3 bulged discs in my neck and going through a chaotic, painful and distressing time. I purchased before 12pm on a Thursday and the mattress was delivered the next day. It’s great as it isolates any movement from the other side of the bed. Great quality so far and no noticeable issues. I recommend it to people where I can.

Read morel over this. The mattress is not better than an average one you can get at a reasonable price in the market. Firm feeling and was uncomfortable for side sleeping, had some shoulder, hip and lower back pains for a few weeks till I realised it's not the mattress I was looking for. Understandably, it's a personal preference and it was not suitable for me. The quality of fabric was excellent, edge support was great and no overhearing issue. Return (difficult and stressful) Contacted customer service for a return after 3 weeks of use, they were very pleasant: asked for a proof of purchase and a photo of the mattress, which I did straight away. The return process was not straightforward as I thought it would be, as Sleep Republic deals with charity organisations ( such as Salvation army) to collect the returned mattresses, I was advised that these organisations were putting mattresses collection on hold due to the pandemic restrictions. I was told to wait till the lockdown is over which was not ideal as no one was certain for how long the lockdown was going to last for. I had to negotiate with customer service via emails, which was painful. The customer service suggested that if I managed to find any charity organisation who can collect the mattress and send them a proof, they will issue refund. I contacted 4 charity organisations (Red-cross, Salvation army, Smith family and Vinnies) as well as recycling company and most of them apologised. Eventually, to Sleep Republic's credit, they managed to find a recycling company (softlanding), who can collect the mattress and I was advised to leave the mattress on the street kerbside before 6 am, which was not ideal as I have no control over a mattress setting on the kerbside which can be collected by anyone or be affected by weather (if rained). I had to reschedule the collection as I was waiting for the new mattress to arrive. I had to drop off the mattress to the kerbside the night before the day of collection, which was extremely difficult for one person. The untold part of the return/refund, it is not as easy as getting the mattress delivered within one business day. Eventually the mattress was collected after 3 weeks and I received refund the same day.Purchased in for $1,299.

Read more sorry about the fact that the returns process was difficult. As I’m sure you’re aware, the NSW lockdown has put a huge stress on delivery and collection services. Salvos, our usual charity for returns, is not operating anywhere in NSW or Victoria. Softlanding was already overwhelmed with other requests which had a bit of a backlog for collection, and unfortunately they could not arrange anything faster for your collection.
The delivery was received a day from a purchase.
I was super excited to get this bed based on all these reviews. I have used it since Oct 2018 and it’s very sad to say the bed is no longer supportive at all. I would like to give this company 5 stars because the service was absolutely amazing, responsive, easy refund and no-fuss. But the mattress didn't suit us. The good things: mattress seems to be great quality, lovely fabric, NO smell, no partner disturbance, easy to get out of box etc (we bought the King size). That being said, it has a similar feel to many many other pocket sprung medium/firm mattresses that you can buy at the big stores which are typically at a FAR higher price (plus you have to put up with all the nonsense that the salesperson spins). I'm torn about whether we would ever purchase a mattress in a box/online again without first trying. If we had tried this in a store and had the option to compare it side by side with a couple of other mattresses at the same time we would have known straight away it wasn't for us and that we preferred something firmer (or at least, without that 'sink-in' feeling). However, the advantages of buying online are that you don't get any of that unbearable mattress industry nonsense or have to deal with the ridiculously inflated prices or "half/price" / "all sizes for the price of a single" nonsense sales. (Do people actually fall for that?). Anyway.. back to the sleep republic mattress: it's great quality and if you like that sink in feeling but relatively medium/firm-ish support underneath then I recommend giving it a try.
