how thick is the Vinyl?
Hi, I purchased carpet from Solomons in Bentleigh nearly 7 years ago. It has worn extremely badly in the walk areas. I contacted the branch as I located my receipt and have a Carpet After Care receipt with 7 years warranty.
After emailing pictures and receipts, Simon contacted me. He respectfully explained that he purchased the Bentleigh franchise 4 years ago, and as such is unable to be of assistance with the After Care 7 year Warranty.
Simon helpfully advised that he will endeavour to track down the supplier of the carpet and provide contact details to them and to me.
I understand Simons reasoning on why he will not fulfill the After Care Guarantee, but not understanding where this leaves me as the consumer other than with a badly worn area in my home.
Your reply would be appreciated.

Read moreuch a byword for bad business practices that one only had to say 'Oh, they're a Solomons', about any business for anyone to stay right away. I remember they had money troubles and all sorts. When we came to SA we were surprised to find them still a prominent business, here.
