Worst TV we've owned
We had problems with this TV from the start. The software was terrible and we had to reset factory settings many times. When we called customer support, they told us to do all the things we had already done any time and then told us they'd send someone a few weeks later during a 5 hours window. There were limited apps, bad interface, problems with privacy policy and antenna connections and no connectivity with other devices. No access to an open movie library (like google play). JBHIFI replaced our old TV and we upgraded to a Samsung which works flawlessly and has everything we want and need. It was a breath of fresh air after the terrible Sony. We won't buy Sony products again as they've clearly become inferior to other brands.

Good Tv but the power suply is not suitable for wall mount
I bought this sony 49" TV for my bedroom so that I can wall mount. it is slim on top but not on bottom thanks to speakers. Having 1 yr warranty is ok....but you can Hisense with 3 yr with cheaper price.
but the catch was power supply it has a power supply similar to laptops. so the power cord is not suitable for wall mount & this was not told by sales reps.

ok tv but DOES NOT LIVE UP TO SONY NAME
I purchased this tv with the hopes it would be a true 4k experience, oh how i was wrong playing a ps4 pro with a 4k game fdoes not look like a 4 k game, i have also watched 4k blu rays on a 4k blu ray player with sub par standards, the auto settings for picture are rubbish and the lag is pathetic will try the next model up next time if not another brand it is, noting this tv i got from bing lee has been nothing but issues for past week, i do not think it is due to the model

After 45 years buying and using Sony, a complete dud!
Sorry if this review appears out of place, but it is accurate, and alarming for Sony product development and quality control. Purchased TV new early November from VideoPro. These are its technical issues that remain unresolved:
1. Unexpectedly freezes picture while sound continues unaffected.
2. Unexpectedly switches itself off, and takes minutes to reset.
3. On all free-to-air HD channels there is regular noticeable pixelation, despite 100% signal level and 91% signal quality.
4. Firmware update process is buggy, whereby TV states update i...Read more

Great picture
Bought the TV and was immediately impressed with the picture. The sound, so typical of these super skinny TVs, is only fair. While the Android 'smart TV' system is pretty hopeless with some of the most convoluted menus hierarchies I've ever come across.
At least the programme guide is good - just hope you don't need to make too many detailed TV setting changes.
Luckily you can easily fix most of these short comings with a sound bar and an Apple TV.

Great TV and great price
This TV is very light weight and has a great picture for both tV and movies, also has many apps for online TV . It's great to see Sony back in the game of making great and affordable TV units, it was very easy to setup for both channels and my wireless network

TV Purchase
upgraded to a 49" Sony Bravia smart Tv, which is ample for a small lounge room.
great picture and colours and just one remote, very easy to use.
Bought it at local Bing Lee store, excellent service;salesman was patient and showed me all different Tvs and then gave a good discount
