Cheaper prices, bad customer service
People working here are not well trained to handle customer service issues. They treat people with disrespect, they ask people really loud if they had a concession card, the checkout girl was endlessly chatting to her friend while we patiently waited for her to finish and scan our items, she did not say hello or talk to us. on another occasion we asked to have veggies leaves from the bin for rabbots and they said OK but at checkout the incompetent worker asked another supervisor who started taking some of them back even though they were all fro...Read more
m the bin. I told her that all of these were in the bin she looked at me suspiciously and replied that " we don't give celery away", I told her that they were in the bin and I am taking them for rabbits, but she just walked away. I asked the checkout girl what do you do with that celery? if it has already been thrown in the bin what else can you do with it? are going to sell it? seriously, this place is for rough people.Similar opinion? Long Checkout Wait
You spend more time waiting at the checkout to pay than shopping. Needs a express lane for small purchases of 10 items or less.
Fruit and vegetables is cheap but must be used that day or bin it next day.
The supermarket overall is not modern at all, it's stuck in the past.
Woolies and Coles are far ahead of the game, better service, better quality products, longer shelf life and staff actually friendly and happy.
Spud shed full of miserable lifeless humans.
If you want to suffer from depression, visit a spud shed store.

Not a lot of reasons to visit
The more I come here the more I feel it's a waste of time. Here is a breakdown.
1 - Fruit and vegetables are clearly of a sub standard quality. Close to being rotten and poor exterior appearance overall. For fresh articles go to your local fruit/vegetable shop. In Morley the MCQ supermarket is a much better option.
2 - The meats are again of sub standard quality. I sometimes come here for the fresh salmon but that's about it. The chicken is unreliable at the best of times.
3 - You don't get the complete range of products as you would i...Read more
n a supermarket, hence you would have go to Coles / Woolworths anyway for a lot of your daily consumables. The only reason to come here is that you can sometimes pick up ridiculous bargains for things with long expiry dates, such as certain brands of cereals, muesli bars, butter, frozen fish etc...Similar opinion? rotting fruit
I have been shopping at the Morley store for some months now but will no longer do so. There has been a noticeable deterioration of quality in the "fresh" produce section. On three occasions now I have been obliged to bin fruit within 2 days of purchase. Apart from selected vegetables, there is no real price point advantage. In most instances, pre packed shelf items are more expensive than the major supermarkets. I shall take my custom back to COLES.

Substandard quality
Visited Morley store last week. The display of Egyptian Mandarins where all covered in mould. Purchased Sweet potatoes which went in the bin two days later due to going rotten. Purchased Prime Quality Rump Steak which is the worst quality steak I have eaten in 56 years.
It appears the majority of fruit & veg is only days away from it's consumption date, if not there already.

quality of fruit and veg going down same as their service
Re Spudshed Morley, their food is of poor quality, fruits always taste bad, each time I try it is bad. Apples, bananas, oranges, mandarins, grapes, watermelon, all usually taste bitter or sour and it is not worth money spent. They built it huge and it's open 24/24 but that's it, that's where its greatness ends.

Cheap, great range, fresh food and great service
Regular customer at Jandakot branch and at neighbouring Liquor Shed. Much better than the generic Coles and Woolies and beast Aldi hands down. The range is good, it's West Australian produce and it's very reasonably priced

I eent to complain to the office and same manager told me that I cannot use trolley as I was not buying much. Absolutely shocking service. I shpuld have read all the complains below before I went to the store. I will not come back there.

Poor quality fruit and vegetable
I was very disappointed when checking out this establishment, nothing was of a good quality, and if I wanted a bargain (for instance pumpkin) I had to buy a whole (large) one.......all too much for a single person, I won't bother to shop there again !!

The worst customer service I have ever received
I had a really bad experience from a supervisor at the Morley Spud shed. She was rude and ignorant. I've then wrote a complaint through their official site. No reply. No one contacted. Pathetic service.

I have been a Spudshed customer for years.....I have never, ever, bought an expired product from them....Never had any stinky meat...it has always been good. If I had any complaint about the meat....sometimes the steaks are sliced thinner then I like...Otherwise, they have been fine.....I've got absolutely nothing to do with Spudshed, just a satisfied customer....Can anyone tell me about their expired products?....I have never seen it and wondering if it is the majors - doing their best to destroy a smaller competitor - with fake reviews....

@Buckwheat I 1st noticed their expired food at the Butler Spudshed, they were selling frozen pizzas 2 months past there expiry dates. I recently visited their Joondalup store & saw bagged carrots that had the date 07 AUG on it & it was the 13th of August I saw that in store. When I brought that to the attention of Spudshed they said that's when it was packed, which given the appearance of those carrots I most certainly don't believe that was true. Personally I wouldn't recommend or shop there again & judging by the other negative reviews, their poor food quality is an ongoing issue. If you or anyone else does shops there, I'd highly recommend checking the dates of all food items to ensure you don't get food poisoning or waste your money.
I checked the dates....of about 60 products - none were expired - in our larger Joondalup shop....I have shopped at Spudshed many times...and never had a bad experience....Granted the Wangara shop was dirty and poor customer service......That said, I grow veggies for our household....and it takes forever for carrots to go off....IF in fact this reviewer actually experienced bad carrots.....
Furthermore this person, did not buy the carrots...but is happy to provide a review....I smell a rat....We bought several other vegetables, and no issues....on that Friday 9 August. I definitely stand by my review and comments....I have never had an issue with Spudshed, beyond wangara cleanliness - and slack checkouts....But, enjoyed their much lower prices.....I will leave it with you to determine who is genuine.....
Then shop there. Buckwheat I don't really care. My experiences was exactly how I explained constantly out dated products and. The frozen products macaroni and cheese jaffles were 3 months out of date. Pizza was off. Dog got the chicken. I was at spearwood which is a newly opened store dame thing . I usually go to jandakot. Same thing. Both shops have gone from being extremely busy to empty. Please anyone who is going to spudshed. Check the dates before you buy something as I'm trying to help you. Where you shop won't bother me. You will make up your own mind. Where I shop does. I refuse to put my family at risk. When it comes to food.
