Out of date pizza
I phurchased a McCain’s take away pizza which was $3 on the 15/04/19 and it went out of date on 23/03/19. The ticket price was big and comment saying past best before so small, as shown in a picture I’ve attached. I didn’t even notice this as so small and Woolworths can have them for 3.50 on sale so no way I’d save .50c for something out of date especially chicken. I went into the store today and the lady said sorry no refund as it was labels out of date. I will not purchase from your store again as not clearly labeled and no simpathy to help wen I came in

Quality is usually bad
Most times when I buy something from Spudshed I get home and the product is either off or close to being off! I got some pineapples from there yesterday but into them and they were slimy in the middle. Also my strawberries went off in 1 day and were mouldy. Although its cheaper, I don't think its worth the savings as you end up chucking out the produce anyway! Not happy with their service.

Spudshed sells the rubbish respectable supermarkets reject
I used to visit their Bentley store often but it did not take me long to notice it is full of stale second rate products that are not fit to sell at a respectable supermarket. Spudshed sells all the rubbish other supermarkets reject. If you buy fruit or vegetables in prepackaged bags expect for half of the packet to be rotten. I once took purchased a 10kg bag of carrots from this store and when I got home the carrots in the centre of the pack were all slimy. The big slimy goo spilt onto my kitchen bench and made my kitchen smell for days. I pur...Read more
chased a prepackaged bag of plumbs and 70% of them ended up in the bin because they were either damaged or rotten. So many products in this store are well past their Best Before date. Out of date ham, out of date cheeses and substandard Imported products from third world countries are just some of the shortcomings that you can expect from shopping at Spudshed.Similar opinion? Went to Kelmscott yesterday and eftpos was working but required signature, which I was ok with but then he wanted my name and drivers licence number to write on the back of receipt. I refused as that is my private information. If a 16 yr old person came in how would they supply a drivers licence, also the receipt were just lying on the counter just blowing around where anyone could take them and they would have everyone licence number, name and signature. Also the person working on the till was a security guard not an employee. The whole thing was not rite. I refused my licence so he took the stuff back.

Purchased Healthy Choice meal that is 4 months out of date!
Purchased Healthy Choice Italian Baked Chicken meal today, went to have it for dinner only to discover the expiry date is July 2018 (its now November 2018!!). Tried to call several times to advise the store but phone rang out every time. 4 months out of date is unacceptable!

Good value
Went Friday night to buy meat and veges.
Prices beat woolworths by several dollars per kg on meat and quality is great. Veges are good value ie quality and price in check. The stawberries were rotten was a waste of $3 for a big pack didnt notice till i opened it to eat but even then i still saved big bux as its cheaper.

Fruit doesn't last 3 days
Bought fruit and vegetables here as it was cheaper and adverts confirmed fresh produce straight to the public, hence why it was cheaper. Yes cheaper, but the quality is terrible. Shame on you for trying to fool fellow western Australians like this. As your advert say's you give us your straight from the farm produce, not the produce clearly stored somewhere else for weeks before it goes to your stores.

Lift your game Spud Shed Wanneroo!
No one wants to shop in a leaking, rain sodden shed! I'm surprised health and safety have not been advised of the condition of this Spud Shed.
Worst meat and chicken in Perth...

rotten fruits plus very bad customer service
t'was my first time shopping in spudshed and the first thing i noticed was the fruits. Can smell the rotten grapes just as i walked in. Apples looks good outside but damaged inside. As I was about to pay, I was next on the line then the lady rolled her eyes and put the closed sign when i started putting the stuffs that i got from the store. I had no choice but to go through another checkout. Then I saw her removed the closed sign when i left. VERY DISRESPECTFUL and RUDE. So disgusting attitude.

Bad Fruit
Innaloo store. Ok for some super chepa specials that pop up, but am sick of buying fruit that looks good but ends up bad inside. Constantly throwing stuff out. Don't buy any fruit that is prepacked!! Have thrown it out everytime.

We are aged pensioners and every dollar counts. 4kg washed spuds at $1, prime plums at $1.49kg Pork loin roasts at $6.99kg We purchased Tetley 200 tea bags at $2.99 and tomatoes at $1.49kg everything in the fresh food market was far cheaper than any other and we saved heaps

Spudshed better than the rest
Seriously anybody who thinks Spudshed fails to match up with Woolies, Coles, Aldi and IGA need to take another look.
OK Spudshed doesn't carry every line but the size of their fruit and veggie department is bigger than any other Brand's store I've seen.
And Spudshed too has things that other Supermarkets don't have. That's why they have Warehouse size stores.
Last time I was at Spudshed was a Wednesday morning it was packed. My local Woolies is usually deserted at that time of the day.
So why do so many people prefer Spudshed over others?

The meat us absolutely dusvusting
Went to Mandurah store yesterday, bought fruit and veg which was fine, some groceries, and then meat, as have not purchased from this Spudshed before, the meat tasted like old animals, either old milking cows and mutton certainly not lamb. Most went to he dog, she isn't fussy!!!
You need to get your act together with the meat quality, now concerned I have chicken etc in the freezer, a bit scared to cook it really.

Service needs to improve. Bad customer service makes me want to go IGA instead.
Always immediately regret buying anything due to extreme rudeness and sheer lack of manners.

I have been a Spudshed customer for years.....I have never, ever, bought an expired product from them....Never had any stinky meat...it has always been good. If I had any complaint about the meat....sometimes the steaks are sliced thinner then I like...Otherwise, they have been fine.....I've got absolutely nothing to do with Spudshed, just a satisfied customer....Can anyone tell me about their expired products?....I have never seen it and wondering if it is the majors - doing their best to destroy a smaller competitor - with fake reviews....

@Buckwheat I 1st noticed their expired food at the Butler Spudshed, they were selling frozen pizzas 2 months past there expiry dates. I recently visited their Joondalup store & saw bagged carrots that had the date 07 AUG on it & it was the 13th of August I saw that in store. When I brought that to the attention of Spudshed they said that's when it was packed, which given the appearance of those carrots I most certainly don't believe that was true. Personally I wouldn't recommend or shop there again & judging by the other negative reviews, their poor food quality is an ongoing issue. If you or anyone else does shops there, I'd highly recommend checking the dates of all food items to ensure you don't get food poisoning or waste your money.
I checked the dates....of about 60 products - none were expired - in our larger Joondalup shop....I have shopped at Spudshed many times...and never had a bad experience....Granted the Wangara shop was dirty and poor customer service......That said, I grow veggies for our household....and it takes forever for carrots to go off....IF in fact this reviewer actually experienced bad carrots.....
Furthermore this person, did not buy the carrots...but is happy to provide a review....I smell a rat....We bought several other vegetables, and no issues....on that Friday 9 August. I definitely stand by my review and comments....I have never had an issue with Spudshed, beyond wangara cleanliness - and slack checkouts....But, enjoyed their much lower prices.....I will leave it with you to determine who is genuine.....
Then shop there. Buckwheat I don't really care. My experiences was exactly how I explained constantly out dated products and. The frozen products macaroni and cheese jaffles were 3 months out of date. Pizza was off. Dog got the chicken. I was at spearwood which is a newly opened store dame thing . I usually go to jandakot. Same thing. Both shops have gone from being extremely busy to empty. Please anyone who is going to spudshed. Check the dates before you buy something as I'm trying to help you. Where you shop won't bother me. You will make up your own mind. Where I shop does. I refuse to put my family at risk. When it comes to food.
