I have a Ssangyong Rexton 2.7 xdi 2006. The auto transmission seems as if it cant decide what gear to go in. Sometimes when I stop I have no gears at all and have to turn the ignition off and on then I get gears but it lacks power.
Any ideas on the problem?

Hello, I have a 2004 270XDI THE CAR HAS an erratic temp gauge when it will hear right up every now and then but car not hot

Anyway I've noticed I dont have any Parker lights on both sides front, not do I have tail lights on the passenger rear, all bulbs are good however 1 tail light bulb is missing,

What I do find strange is all the bulbs on the rear passenger will light up when the left indicator is on with the headlights and brake pedal, with all of the above on the left Indicator flashes fast like it is missing the rear bulb but is on solid with 1 other bulb on very dim and the rest working properly,

Anyone have any ideas on what may cause this, I find it very odd, could this have something to do with the temp gauge (read on a forum broken tail light can affect this also)

I am having problems with my Diesel Rexton 2.7 when I turn left or right sharply there a loud clunking noise which seems to be from the the transfer box area. But other times it appears to be from the front of the vehicle. I have had the front of the diff removed to make sure everything is okay in there. The CV joints have been serviced and are okay. I have just had the transfer box fully serviced and the transmission. As soon as I take the front tail shaft there is no problem turning no clunking at all. So I am and so is my mechanic at loss as to where the problem lies. I am wondering if it could be a problem with computer because I have a spare to replace it.

Hi, I have just experienced my Rexton YOM 06 2.7 xdi Automatic 5 forward, I have neutral the gear in traffic light then put in to D when the light is green, its went to D with shock and didn't change the gears at all, and 4WD check light came on, turn off the engine and it went off and seems now its back to normal, any help?...

Can anyone help my 2004 Rexton having trouble starts fine but when I have reached my destination it will not restart for a couple of hours then it starts fine again

2005 Rexton 2.7xdi 88000miles
Dipped beam has stopped on both sides. Main beam and sidelights are fine as are front and rear fog lights. Assuming there is not a separate fuse for dipped beam (?, never heard of, but trust nothing & no one), what could it be please? I expect just simple bad luck or is there something I have not been able to find when researching? Great site and contributants by the way, a pleasure to read (interpret). Thank you all.

My Rexton RX290 2004 diesel has problem since I change the turbo, the car doesn’t accelerate well/ doesn’t have power. I push the gas all the way down in Drive and the car start running verry slow and the speed increases very slow. What may be the problem ?

Is the central locking system in the Ssanyong 2010 Rexton 270 one that closes or locks it's self automatically??
If the car is left running and you close the door how long is it pre the car locking itself and then your cannot get back in !!!!!! Just fabulous when you are sitting on the side of the road for a spare key to arrive with out a phone as that was in the car ??
Lucky I stopped near a house as I was in the country and a phone call was made by them.

The high and low beam headlights on my Rexton 2005, xdi270, stopped working, any idea what has caused this? Fuse appears ok. High beam light not working on dash either. Only have parklights.

Hi, I have a 2006 Rexton 2.7 auto with what seems like permanent diff wind up. It is in a local non specialist garage but they cannot seem to pinpoint the fault, any ideas please?

Can anyone help me. I have recently bought a 2005 Rexton 2.7 4wd automatic but do it know how the 4wd drive works.
If I put it into neutral and press the 4L switch, the switch clicks in and the 4wd Low light comes on and I can feel the car shift into what it’s k is 4wd low mode. This works fine I think, however I do not know how to switch in5o 4wd High because when I press the 4H switch all it does is release the 4L switch back out and th3 dash light for 4wd Low disappears but no 4wd Light comes on. I though5 it may get be the switch so replace this with a second had switch and the same thing happens. Is the switches for both 4H and 4 L supposed to work the same and stay in 2gen you press them because only the 4L does this? Thanks Martyn

L have a rexton270 deisel won’t start turns over but emouslier light flashing will not go off. Any ideas?
