This item is at the upper end of blower vac units. Spent about a month researching to buy a value for money blower vac 2 stroke. All advices were to try and use it before you buy. The local stilh dealer was the only dinkum store to allow this, the large hardware chains couldn't facilitate this. Read up on all reviews and feedback on internet & forums. Great blower, I am a gardener and use it almost every day at about 4 properties per day. It does a great job on residential properties. It is a bit small for use in larger areas such as school grounds. It makes my job quick and easy and even does a good job of moving wet leaves.
It is just chucked in the back of the ute and rolls around a fare bit, has even been left in the rain a few times and still keeps on going.

I use the Sthil BG56 every day for about 2 hours in the morning and intermittently throughout the day during my course of work.

The BG56 is powerful enough to blow off wet leaves on concrete and blow out leaves from larg gardens and even leaves that have grown into hedges.

My biggest gripe is that the vibration transmitted through the handle takes a big toll on your hand(s), you are left with pins and needles for hours after using it solidly and I fear that this will do some nasty damage to my hands soon enough. The older Sthil unit that...Read more

Sick of connecting and dragging power cords so decided to replace my old electric Ozito mulcher/blower. Did some homework comparing all brands of leaf blowers and decided to try Stihl based on comments and reputation, wasn't disappointed. When I looked around to buy a petrol blower,I chanced upon a japanese made Makita RBL 250 retailing for $279 at Bunnings. I thought this looks good but I'm aware that Makita is not well known for garden power tools. I did some research and found out that Echo PB2155 ($299) and Stihl BG56 ($249) were on offer. I have done a fair few laws in my life and am a very keen gardener so I needed a good reliable blower to keep my gardens looking nice.
