Streets Cornetto (page 4 of 6)

Terrible Ice Cream
I purchased the 4 pack of classics vanilla and noticed the box was much lighter. The ice creams are lighter and tasteless, very disappointing as this was my favourite for years
Outsourced to Indonesia
Thanks to great government initiatives to tax everything except themselves, cornetto's have drawn the short straw and decided to sacrifice quality for cost. Just like every other once loved Australian brand, we now know Australia is going to only import commercial goods, and export our critical resources at 0% tax. RIP Cornetto and Streets. You now taste like a chemical weapon has gone and died in my mouth.
Worst Ice Cream Yet
Was really excited to taste the golden gay time cornetto. After i tasted it the rest ended up in bin. The taste was burnt/smokey, bitter and soggy in general just horrible!! Waste of money do not buy.

I thought I was poisoned
Worst ice cream I've had in 56 years! Tasted like oil and burnt toast- threw all of them in the bin! Not happy.

Weird smokey flavour
First I noticed the Choc syrup instead of the usual chocolate on cornettos, then a very smokey flavour. Like someone ashed their cigarette in it or something burnt in manufacturing. The ice cream was too soft and the cone was soggy & fell apart. I was SO looking forward to trying this. Had it have been made properly it would have been great.

Burnt / smokey flavour.... inedible,
We bought the new gaytimecornettos. First taste and it was inedible. Very heavy smokey flavour, obviously someone burnt the batch of crumbs and took out the burnt ones and used the rest. A bit like scraping the burnt part off toast, it still always tastes burnt. That's what you get when you change production to a country that has lax food standards. We won't be buying streets again.

Horrible
I bought a box of classic cornettos and was very disappointed with the quality. Watery ice cream, soggy wafer and the taste overall was not good. I used to buy these as a rare treat but I couldn't eat them, they are a really low quality product now. Will not be buying them agai .

Disgusting
The rest of the box went into the bin! It had a metalic and bitter taste. Made in Indonesia. Yuk
How is this anything like a golden gaytime?
Terrible. I was hoping for an amalgamation of a golden gaytime and a cornetto, instead I received an overly sweet and syrupy chocolate sauce combined with a caramel tasting icecream.
Neither incorporated the best elements of a gaytime OR a cornetto.
Would not purchase again.

Made in Indonesia!
I had a chocolate Cornetto today and wondered why it tasted different. The cone was soggy and the ice cream was inconsistent. So I went looking at the packaging, and low and behold, It's made in Indonesia! What the? No more streets icecream in this house.

Vanilla cornetto
Imtook one bite and was shocked at the taste and chocolate syrup instead of real chocolate, made in Indonesia- why would rhey import from a country that is not a milk producer.
Have just returned from a Bali holiday missing aussi ice cream and tasted this rubbish.
These are in the bin, won't ever buy again, just buy the aldi product which tastes great and made in Australia.

Lacks creaminess and flavour
Something has changed since I had my last one a few years back. The ice cream isn't creamy anymore, the chocolate is average to say the least and the cone is soft and tasteless. Even my young child didn't like it - hers ended up in the rubbish. My tip; by the other brand.

Bulk cornettos.
I was surprised on tasting the cornetto from a box of 24. The disappointment of a very coffee tasting chocolate and an inferior waffle along with grainy icy icecream was overwhelming. I love cornetto usually. I will be keeping a wide berth from them in future and it certainly was not worth the $25 I paid.

Gaytime cornetto tastes burnt
I was really looking forward to tasting the Gaytime Cornetto ice cream because I love the Original Gaytime ice cream and when I took my first bite all I could taste was a burnt flavour! Disgusting and not happy! Fix the recipe please Streets.
What happened?
I remember these from years ago and the one I just had is no the same. Firstly the ice cream tasted like powered milk mixed with water and then frozen. As for the cone when i first had a bite i honestly thought i had forgot to take of the cardboard wrapping
Terrible Streets Cornetto
I purchased 2 packs yesterday from Woolworths. It gives me a shock when consuming it. The size is wrong. It is smaller and it taste so artificial and sweet. The ice cream is not creamy. Then I come up to this site and discover that I am not alone. Streets has ruined their long established reputation for ever. Definitely I will NOT buy this product again.

Expensive low quality junk
Very sweet, icy and dreadful taste.
I was shocked by the low quality and the premium price.
Then I read... made in Indonesia.
Sells for the same price as Australian made ice creams.
I will never be buying this junk again.
Not tastey wasted 40 INR
Bought butterscotch cornet to not so tastey not sweeter and cone was very hard. It was less sweeter than lazza or skei ice cream.
Taste like winfield blue.
The nuts on top of the chocolate and gaytime cornettos taste like an ashtray. I would sooner smoke till i get cancer than buy another 4 pack of this trash.
No more streets products for me!!!
Just bought a streets cornetto and thought it was just not right, certainly not blue ribbon ice cream, much smaller than usual, very watery and then I read the wrapper " Made in Indonesia"!!!! Please explain, a good Aussie product sold out to an overseas consortium. Well no more streets I cream for me, I'll be looking for an Aussie home based brand. Good bye streets
Terrible
The recipe is noticeably changed in particular the waxlike and watered down ice cream. Will not be buying another Cornetto.
Really disappointed
Cornetto's use to be beautiful, not anymore. They taste soapy and bland all at the same time. I almost broke my tooth on the ones with the bright Pink round thing, the pink thing tasted like nothing. I will never eat them again, ever. I looked on the box and saw made in Indonesia, then I realized why they tasted different.

This is an insult of a product
Ice cream tastes like kind of sugary ice water with reconstituted crap in it.
Cone is worst than McDonalds cone.
They use a horrible choc sauce on the top of the cone.
Really it seems like a complete joke or a kind of fake product.
Streets is owned by Unilever and it seems like they are trying to sell people RUBBISH and profit from it. I'm now going to check EVERY brand owned by Unilever and boycott it, would suggest others do so to.

Terrible
The first thing I noticed that the ice cream was not even blue ribbon ice cream...also the product has shrunk but still paying a premium price, not good enough streets . Ill be buying my ice cream now from home ice creams their herat ice creams are excellent..so long Streets how the mighty have fallen.
Cornetto's have been ruined
Just bought a box of my one time fav's, the classic cornetto. WTH have they done to it? Ice cream is a very generous description of the white stuff they are trying to pass off as ice cream, even the cone was terrible. Never again will i waste money and will warn everyone i know as a public service announcement.
Companies think they can cut costs - pass none of those savings on to their customers and provide a substantially inferior product and we are just supposed to accept that and just keep consuming. NO NO NO.
