Blenders Buying Guide
Our buying guide will explain which type of blender would suit you most, how much you can expect to pay for one, and which features are worth looking out for.
Cecil BenjaminSydney, NSW
Warranty expired just prior to the breakdown
The blender had been functioning ok until about 2 weeks ago - usual uses included smoothies, soups from cooked veggies, salsas. Then the noise became louder and liquids started to trickle out of the base. Leakage became progressively more until today when liquid poured out from be base while blending a mylk (no solids)
Purchased in April 2021 at The Good Guys Physical store for A$224.10.

Hi Sunbeam, thank you for your note. The "fault" is actually in the screw attachment under blade mechanism. Can you see this in the pic I provided? I could send you another pic if that helps. The Good... Read more

Great product will use it frequently
This blender makes easy work of blending dry ingredients finely if that's what is required. Excellent for smoothies and making vegan recipes. There is a pulse option for an extra boost. The unit is very sturdy and easy to clean, looks good left on the bench or can easily be stored away.

Pretty good
Blends really well, used all of the settings, makes really good puréed food, soup and protein balls. However when something is a bit to hot the lid can fly off so you need to have your hand on there to secure it, or wait a little while to blend it up. It's a bit big to leave out on the bench personally, but putting it away in a cupboard is fine as all the parts come off easily and the base isn't too heavy.

Best. Blender. Ever.
I found it easy to find and compare products before selecting. The blender I chose arrived today. I make smoothies five days a week with some pretty heavy ingredients, about 1.8 litres per smoothie, so I wanted to invest in a blender that could take all the nuts and frozen spinach and stuff. This blender is truly amazing. Whipped up my smoothie in record time, with a lovely consistency. I'm very happy.

Hello Cecil Benjamin,
So sorry to hear about your troubles - however the PB9800 has a 5 year motor warranty. It does seem like a motor problem to me, return it to your retailer so that they can help you replace the unit.
