I just book my new Nutrioven. I didn't worry about preheating the oven cooking a chicken right now. The oven has been cooking for 33 minutes and the "Warm Up" light is still on. It is cooking the chicken so is this indicator faulty. And I will add. The light was a feature I liked in my old oven...

Why is there aplastic outer casing for the bowl to go into? Never seen that before and will it get too hot and melt

Hello Julyet,
The outer bowl is to protect you from the heat of the glass bowl and will of course sustain any heat the NutriOven will let off.

Thankyou for that response, I used the Nutri oven for the first time last night and found it a lot hotter than my previous convection cooker! Crumbled chicken was burnt ! Will have to get used to it.

Hi,
Just cook them as you would normally cook in your large oven. Always put a few holes in them

Can I bake a cake in my Sunbeam? My old oven won't switch on so I need an alternative to bake a normal cake. Perhaps on the lower rack? Thank you.

Hi Jenny Charles,
Of course! Basically anything you can cook in a normal oven can be cooked in the NutriOven

Jenny Charles

I did do it, but had to place some foil on top of the cake as it was starting to burn. But the foil flew upward and stayed stuck on the top right on the element! Would that affect the baking of the cake

HI Michelle,
As the bowl is very large it may not stay as moist as you would like it to be.

Can you recommend a recipe book that has a broad range of recipes for the Nutri Oven and can/how can you cook a piece of silverside in it?

Hi LouietheLip,
Thank you for contacting Sunbeam. The only recipes we have for the CO3000 are in the booklet. It may turn out too dry in the CO3000. Silverside/corned beef are best cooked in a slow cooker.
Kind Regards,
Sunbeam.

Hi Kerry S,
Thank you for contacting Sunbeam. The plastic cover is a heat shield and needs to be left on when oven is in use. It can be removed for cleaning once oven has cooled down completely.. Kind regards, Sunbeam

Hi I have just purchased my oven and used it for the first time tonight. My question is - should the warm up light turn off when the required temperature is reached. I expected it to however I cooked chicken legs and it was on the whole time. My niece who recommended I buy the oven tells me her light does turn off.

Mine turns off when the temperature has reached and turns back on to go back up. However I haven't confirmed this with a thermometer though.

Sunbeam
Customer C.SunbeamSend a private message

Hi Fran,
The light will usually go off when temperature is reached and then illuminate when it needs to reach the temperature again. We suggest to warm the oven up to 250 degrees and then lower to the desired temperature. Kind Regards Sunbeam
