Great idea badly (cheaply) implimented.
Pros. Handy almost instant heat oven. Great for a quick garlic bread or pizza or even a small roast.
Cons.. after the 1st 12 months it wasn't getting hot enough. At 18 months it just makes 180C when set to 220.
Purchased in June 2021 at JB Hi-Fi Retail Stores for $179.00.

No Preheating Light
I'm use to having a desk top oven with a pre-heating light so I didn't think I would have to check that there was, in fact, a wee light to tell me when the oven had reached the set temperature. It's all luck and guesses as to whether this oven is hot enough for my bikkies. It has a 'power' light but don't be fooled! That light just shows you that it's on! It wont tell you what it's thinking or what help it will offer you and your biscuits. I can't relate to this oven - it's like having a stranger stay in my home.

Great counter top oven
This is a compact yet practical oven. Does the job and very easy to use.
I mainly use it for toast and baking. Doesn't have all the fancy functions like the smart oven but at this price I am pretty pleasant with how it performs.

Cooks pizzas great
We purchased our LOV560 toaster oven yesterday at Hervey Norman for $159. It is to temporarily replace an oven that is broken.
We tried it out last night with pizzas and cooked them perfectly. The family is trying out all of the different functions at the moment so can do an update at a later date.
My only complaint about the unit is the fan. It’s not really loud but is noticeable.
Purchased in April 2021 for $159.00.

Price vs features a winner
This was retailing at $179 at Big W but at the till was $149, must have been my lucky day I think.
The oven has been well thought out for depth/height and including the rotissierie/convection fan.
For me its now my primary roasting oven since I wont ever roast in large ovens again due to the cleaning issues.
So from my point of view, it is finite in the time it might last given I wont care about it falling over and looking bad.

coupling. This means it will rock around with gravity and from experience, that will likely wear out either the drive couping or spear in time. It however does make it easier to load/unload with lesser tolerances. The thermostats and controls in these ovens are reliable and robust enough to last the distance. As mentioned before in other reviews for small ovens,, I am a fan of solid core heating elements over glass infra ray types as they are not as fragile and likley to stand up better to fat splatter. I also like these compact ovens as they use less energy to heat up and less time to do it.1 comment

Great little oven!
I purchased this model as I only need a temporary solution as the moment, and didn't want to spend as much as the Smart Oven, but it's surprisingly good! First thing I tried was a batch of brownies as I know this recipe, time and temperature like the back of my hand and this little oven was very accurate. I was so impressed I baked my patties for dinner instead of dragging out the big electric frying pan, and they were perfectly cooked, too! Can't wait to crack on and do more!

Great oven
It is a reasonably good oven for its price. Big enough to bake a few trays of veggies and roast at the same time. A little uneven baking but generally acceptable. I would recommend to people who want a portable oven, but it is quite big so it sits on the bench top permanently.

Excellent benchtop oven
We had wanted a bench top oven for some time, and had considered buying a Breville Smart Oven Pro with digital controls. However after reading reviews on this site that mentioned problems with the E05 error code, we decided to go with a similar oven that had simple rotary dials that were far less prone to suffer this sort of hiccup. The fact that the oven capacity (28L) of this model was slightly larger than the Smart Oven was also a bonus.
So far we have been more than satisfied with the Toast & Roast Pro. The temperature settings, from 80...Read more
to 220 degrees, seem to be pretty accurate, and the heat produced is quite even. This means that it has been able to cook a wide range of different items – e.g. cakes, bread & butter puds, pizzas, lasagnas, potato bakes, marinated chicken pieces, grilled sausages/chops, and even roast chicken or lamb – very successfully. It has also been fairly easy to clean: most of the interior has just needed a wipe-over with a cloth dampened with something like 'spray and wipe" after cooking to keep it in near-spotless condition; and even large blobs of baked-on grated cheese from pizzas have come off the drip tray with very little effort after a short soak in the sink. The only small drawback is that the timer, which automatically switches the oven off at the end of the selected duration, only goes up to 60 minutes. This means that for things like roasts that require a longer cooking time you need to turn the control to the "stay on" option, and then keep an eye on the clock and manually turn the oven off. Priced at $149 when we purchased it at Harvey Norman, it cost considerably less than the Smart Oven Pro (which from memory was around $280), so it seems like good value for money as well.Similar opinion? Large toaster oven
We had been wanting to pick up a toaster oven for a long time and when we got this one on sale for $123 at Myer we couldn't resist. It's larger than we wanted but it's turned out perfect. It's almost a built in oven replacement. It's about the size of a small microwave so takes up a decent amount of bench space. But it toasts, grills, bakes, roasts. So many uses.

How easy is it to clean and is the inside none stick coated for easier cleaning
1 answer
Inside is not non-stick coated. All the shelves and trays are easy to remove and clean. Crumbs collected along the hinge and are hard to get at.

er cooking for a day to make it easier to clean. So here is an embedded weakness which lets the unit down. As, mentioned, I always knew the rotisserie parts would fail first, now I lnow which one went first. Holding it together now with cooking string across the skewers. See that Breville, I improved your faults with a piece of string. Suggest you use a coarser thread next time. Its these little failures that get you. Small fails are still fails ok?
