as i drive over 100kms a day to and from work i wanted to down size as the old mazda 6 whilst a great car, was thirsty in to the stop and start m4 car park especially in auto guise. I originally wanted a jazz, but with the floods in thailand the aprrox 4-5 monthly wait i was told didnt sound very good. after looking at alternatives i came up with the swift. it being out for years with good reviews and it recently having a update, i thought it would be a good car, and it is, whilst the boot is tiny, the back seats small for adults, the 5.1 ltr p...Read more
er 100km im getting is great, as the auto was only 4 speed i manual, and whilst the clutch took abit of getting used to, and occassionally i still have moments of over revving i enjoy the little buzz box, on the open road (and by this i mean anything compared to a car park like the m4 without the stoppig and starting) its great, handles very well and the gear box is quite good to play through. interior looks good even though not luxurious but what do you expect from a sub 19k car. fuel economy, handling tiny boot, but i knew that when i bought it1 comment

Uncomfortable Seats !!
Bought a new 2012 Swift Sport, ... I really want to love this car :(
It has fantastic fuel economy (5.8L/100km average), excellent build quality, un-doubtably it be bulletproof reliable, it drives great ... BUT .. the seats are too narrow in the back and way too hard !!
After a couple of weeks of agony I actually swapped my Sports seats that came with the car for the normal seats out of a brand new GLX model, unfortunately these seats are also just as narrow and uncomfortable, both seats (Sports and GLX) measure 280mm across the back and are ...Read more

This is the best car I have ever owned
This is the most fun car I have ever owned. It never fails to put a smile on my dial.
I occasionally track my swift sport, and it out performs many other cars well above its price tag and cubic capacity.
The ONLY thing I could fault it for is the rear head rests block vision if people leave them up ... so don't leave them up then!
I have owned a string of highly modified and performance vehicles, yet the swift I have left absolutely stock ... it doesn't need anything because it is already such a great little package.

uality is hard, the interior rattles but this is because it is a SPORTS model, in tune with the original GTi. The focus of the car is actually SPORTS, not a tarty little car with a bodykit and a spoiler. I would HIGHLY recommend this car to any motoring enthusiast ... one drive is all it takes to get hooked. Performance, Handling, comfort, fuel economy Rear head rests, rattlesSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

2012, 1.4 Swift - so far so good
Bought my Swift new 2 months ago and have clocked 5000km in it. A delightful little car. What I love about it most is the balance between all the different requirements - size, handling, power, comfort and economy. With sensible driving (early gear shifts, rolling downhill in neutral) I keep fuel consumption at 5.8-5.9L/100km. This is for a 50/50 motorway/city cycle - not bad! There is also power on tap over 4000rpm if you need it. The interior is quite spacious - I had my 187cm son on the back seat without complaints. The handling is great, dr...Read more
ive quite comfy and no noise to speak of in the cabin up to 105-110km/h. Well done, Suzuki. Getting into reverse gear can be hard at times. Visibility to the rear not so great. Clutch takes some getting used to.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Awsome piece of engineering, where quality meets performance and price stays at home.
We baugt this car last week i did already 400km on it, im a huge VW fan and looked to buy another 1 until i came acros this little work of art. Im driving a toyota hillux d4d so my expectations are high in term of reliability and performance and then the biggest factor does the price justify the car. This litle car blown my expectations away from the start its nippy its elegant and boy oh boy 18.8 km/l on an average speed of 125 kmph with the aircon on and she has 17" mags on. I can definatly refer the swift to any 1, and the service you get f...Read more

Hi all, a few things regarding the 2012 suzuki swift 5 door automatic hatchback. In the last year or so when starting my car it idles which is understandable however when in reverse and reversing back my car seems to stall/misfire this also happens when i put it in drive and go to take off i notice the car is delayed in acceleration any idea as to what this could be???, this also happens when ive been driving and i stop at a set of lights or exiting a shopping centre i put my foot on the excelerator however the car dosent move straight away its like it takes 5-10 seconds to process could this be a problem with the battery, spark plugs, ignition coils, fuel filter, air filter??? its really got me curious, can someone please tell me what you might think it is. Ive taken it to the mechanics and explained the misfire and stalling however they’ve come back to me with thousands of dollars worth of problems and no reason at all as to why theres a misfire, stalling, sluggishness ect.
Thanks in advance
