A shame the boot space wasn't larger
I had my Suzuki Swift for 2 years and just loved it.It was really easy to drive and excellent get-up-and-go!
The reliability was excellent - we drove it from the NSW south coast to Brisbane and it was fuel efficient and very comfortable.
The only reason that I traded it in (on a Suzuki Baleno) was because I needed more boot space

Great little car
This is my 5th Suzuki Swift! I've been sold since the 1992 model. They've all been great reliable cars. The 2018 model is lacking a little bit of grunt after being downgraded from a 1.4L to a 1.2L, but it's still a great small car.
Only complaint I have is that only the top model (they now have 4 in the range, plus the sports) comes with a temperature gauge. We got the second model up, and it has cruise control, reverse parking cameras... but I can't tell what the outside temp is, which is quite frankly weird. Considering how cheap they are to include in manufacturing, I'm honestly surprised you didn't include it. Also, the interface for your carplay needs some love. Way too basic.

Love this car!
An excellent little car. I've had it for a few years now and never had any serious issues. The one annoying thing is that the AC does make a screechy noise when I turn the car on but overall I have loved it. Low running costs, good performance and affordable.

Good car
This is a good car, more roomie than I thought. Never spend too much on Car Service. And it really save money on fuel. but when I drive in freeway at more than 100 km/h, I feel a little bit I am flying. BTW, the legroom is not the enough for a " big " people.

Handles well, much roomier than you'd think
Very reliable, practical car for the city. I've had no mechanical issues after 12 years of owning it. The seats are quite high so easy to get in and out, and the interior is surprisingly spacious, partly due to the 'boxy' shape creating plenty of headroom. Runs smoothly and gear-stick has a nice solid feel.

Perfect car
The best car ever, it uses barely any petrol and is nice and small so parking is extremely easy to find anywhere! The hatchback is great for groceries and larger things, being able to put the back seat down increases the space hugely so you wont have any trouble driving boxed furniture home.

GREAT FIRST CAR
Great small car that’s reliable and easy to drive! This is my first car that I practiced in and drove throughout my green Ps. Though it isn’t as strong in terms of acceleration due to the small engine, it makes up for convenience in driving and parking due to its small size. There is more room than you expect in the front seats but the backseat and boot are relatively smaller.

fantastic car
I have been really happy with this used swift. The fuel economy is impressive. The car is spacious interiorly by small hatchback standard. Most importantly, it didnt give me any issues for 3 months since my purchase. Servicing cost is quite cheap and insurance is low to mid range! I absolutely like this car!

What a car
Honestly this car has changed my life. First of all, petrol is now costing me nearly half of what I used to spend weekly with my old car. Though it’s a small car, it’s got incredible size inside and for a 2017 the technology inside is incredible. Value for money and amazing to drive. Would suggest to anyone considering a hatch back!

Spacious !
Suzuki swifts are very spacious, lots of leg room and fits a family very comfortably ! Very quiet car and cheep to run ! $50 for a full tank that would usually last 2 weeks. Servicing is good price not to expensive and and overall good car for a family or first car buyer !

An almost faultless sporty car hampered by it's CVT gearbox.
I liked my first 2005 model Swift so much I traded up to a 2012 Swift Sport CVT five years ago. This is the highest spec Swift on the market.
It was one year old, one owner with only 12,000kms on it and it felt, looked and smelt like new. And what a delight to drive.
Great handling and cornering, excellent steering feel (it reminded me of the feel of a BMW), good performance and brilliant economy. Keyless entry and start, amazing projector headlights and extremely comfortable, body hugging sports seats make this car a joy to drive. Yes, ...Read more
the boot is too small and yes, the lack of a spare tyre is ridiculous, but these are small prices to pay for a great combination of performance versus economy, handling versus comfort. And this is a great looking car too! From the aggressive front "fins" to the interior's red accenting in an otherwise mature black cabin, the Sport rises above the competition. But there's one issue, and it's the CVT gearbox. Constant Velocity Transmissions (CVT's) are intended to give economy from an "automatic" gearbox that rivals or betters a manual, whilst still maintaining performance. However, CVT's are relatively rare and can be expensive to repair. Their long-term reliability is debatable and with less than 80,000kms now on my car, I have discovered how expensive they can be. I recently spent over $3,000 repairing the CVT due to a mechanical fault. This experience has marred what is otherwise a delightful, reliable car. My advice is buy the manual. The CVT may be expensive to repair on the long term, with parts hard to get and necessary CVT mechanical experience not common.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love this little beast!
I recently purchased a 2015 Suzuki Swift, I believe it is the most reliable car I have ever owned. I haven’t had any problems with it. The petrol consumption is absolutely amazing!! I spend $40-$50 for a full tank and get 700xxxks out of it! What more could you want?
They are truly a well thought out and sexy little buzz box!

You get what you pay for
What do you except to get when you pay around $15000 on road for a brand new car.
It has everything you need to get from point A to B. May not be as comfortable as something more expensive but for the value I think your getting your moneys worth. Drive and handling is good although noise levels can become high on the freeway. Legroom could become a problem for someone very tall and not really ideal for travelling around with a car full of people as space is limited. Fuel efficiency is excellent.Nothing wrong with this vehicle and it has served it purchase well and faultlessly.

Good small car
The swift is a good small car and is great on fuel, it is very cheap for a brand new car. The back seat has very little room and the cars suspension could use some work. The engine is very powerful for the size and gets up to speed very quickly. The are meant to be a safe little car aswell.

Great little economic car
What a great little car.
Might be a little plain on the inside but the Swift does what it does very well. It's comfortable with generous legroom for a car of its size. Boot space is of course quite limited - you'll struggle to fit a stroller in the back.
One things that is great for this car is the matching of the gearbox to the engine. This car is zippy!
Reliability is great and after sales support is great too.

Love this car
I bought this cafe from my sister and I just love it. Ver small car use to get from a to b. Incredibly economical on fuel. Cost about 35-45$ to fill up on fuel. The only downside to this car for me is the small almost non-existent rear boot size.

Awesome car with a very pretty design
The performance is great and love the special design of a medium-size car. I like the way how they design the booth. Overall, I enjoy driving it. I guess the downsides are swift is for people who are tiny or medium size as there are not much leg room and the two back seats are not as spacious as the toyota corolla. The dashboard is relatively short too to someone like my height (around 170cm).

Ten out of ten.
Driving experience is amazing. No noice, and I have never had any problems with it at all.
I love the interior.m: apart from the nonleather seats. However, you get what you pay for. The interior is classy, simple but really effective.
The reliability is amazing - I’ve never had any issues with it. And the running costs are awesome for a uni student - about $50 for ten days. Services are priced well too.

The Suzuki Swift Sport is one of the best looking and perfoming hatches out there today. It drives and handles well with great fuel economy. It comes loaded with all the options. It has a very sporty interior and exterior and has 17" alloys.Luggage compartment is limited but this is a hatch, not a family car.

Hi all, a few things regarding the 2012 suzuki swift 5 door automatic hatchback. In the last year or so when starting my car it idles which is understandable however when in reverse and reversing back my car seems to stall/misfire this also happens when i put it in drive and go to take off i notice the car is delayed in acceleration any idea as to what this could be???, this also happens when ive been driving and i stop at a set of lights or exiting a shopping centre i put my foot on the excelerator however the car dosent move straight away its like it takes 5-10 seconds to process could this be a problem with the battery, spark plugs, ignition coils, fuel filter, air filter??? its really got me curious, can someone please tell me what you might think it is. Ive taken it to the mechanics and explained the misfire and stalling however they’ve come back to me with thousands of dollars worth of problems and no reason at all as to why theres a misfire, stalling, sluggishness ect.
Thanks in advance

what size socket do i need for a suzuki swift sport 1.6 2010 to remove cylinder head?
1 answer
If is a M16 engine you'll need a 12 corner socket wrench.Find yourself a cheap service manual on CD as the bolts need to be removed and installed in a certain order across the length of engine to avoid damage to head.

I connected my wife’s mob to the our car’s wifi, but now my phone doesn’t work. Does the system only allow one phone connection at a time? Is there some way I can connect my phone also (and also my son’s phone) so that we can choose a simple phone connection when we jump in the car?
Thanks
Ian
