1st adventures in this style of camping.
Purchased the Swag Voyager 2 demo model early 2018. Have been away 3 times now. Had some teething issues but these have been overcome with the assistance of staff at Swag. Mine is the basic model which i like. I'm getting better at set ups and pull downs. Mostly put up myself. It tows quite well. As I cook the stove is very good. Mines the 4 burner. I like that you can get really low heat and high heat. I bought a topper for the foam mattress and this has improved the quality of sleep. I've been through some really heavy downpours of rain and...Read more
have no issues. I only setup the awning and either one or both end walls. I'm yet to put in all the walls and floor and back attachment to the camper trailer, but I see no point in doing that either. I'm looking forward to many adventures.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Review on Swag Camper Trailer Voyager
I have had the Voyager Deluxe 2 for over a year and I thought it was time that I write my "personal" view and experience - the service and help from the people that work has been great from Jim on Sales and Jason with service and repairs.
I had a couple of warranty repairs and not a problem dealing with anyone.
The Camper has survived the test of the Gibbs River Road and apart from the schocks sleeves coming loose and loosing a D-Shackle from the suspension it gave no hassles and there were 2 adults and 5 kids.
The Vogayer has been great fo...Read more

Early days but the service has been excellent
We purchased this camper secondhand, and we're the 3rd owner. We upgraded from a different companies soft floor model to the Swag Voyager II - 2015 model - as we felt this forward fold camper would be easier for us oldies to set up. Previous owners had installed a lift off cargo basket on the front box, and had plumbed the gas, which with new tires was a big plus. First surprise was in sliding up the internal poles the screw on clamps didn't work, and the previous owner had drilled holes in the pole, held up in place by bolts. The main upright ...Read more
pole was broken. OK, rang and went out to Swag (as we're in Brisbane). We found Jason personable, knowledgeable and helpful. Short story is that they fixed our problems (including a non working water pump), gave us new pole clamps and a new water hose, and I thought the fee charged was reasonable. Since then, separately, we've had 240 V installed, and done some minor modification ourselves. Everything else seems to work Our first trip away is coming up, and I'll report back. So far I'm reasonably happy (and I can be hard to please). 4/5, and thanks JasonSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good for the money
Bought an Australian Made Sandpiper camper. Made the decision to upgrade to the 12ft straight side tent. Was happy with the number of inclusion with this model over other suppliers that we had looked at. Have done 8 or 9 trips with it so far. Only issues we had was that two of the bolts holding the tailgate kitchen were done up and were missing the nut. They did offer to repair but I was able to fix this at home. Also we broke one of the fiberglass poles with the tropical cover and a pole clamp on our biggest trip (4700km trip). Was told that there was another pole in the 'spares bag' but I never got this. I was able to purchase a replacement pole from SWAG and was given the pole clamps for free. We are still quite happy with our Sandpiper.

Price point value for money
Bought swag voyager II in November and had its first trip out during December. Had major problem with batteries and regulator for solar panel but we contacted Jason on our return and he was most helpful. Returned camper for inspection and discovered batteries no longer were working. he replaced them within 3days with 2 new ones including regulator at no cost to us. Extremely happy with prompt after sales service which is often hard to come by. Voyager II has met all our expectations.

Worst ever.
Bought our brumby camper trailer September 2015 and have used it 4 times and out of those 4 times the rear tail gate has come completely off and the last time it came off it snapped the wiring which has caused all the wiring to burn. Call swag campers and they hung up on me when questioning them about not having fuses in the wiring. Poles inside the camper are crap. Would suggest anyone looking at buying a camper trailer to not go through swag campers

What an awesome Australian company
We brought a swag camper from the Brisbane show, we had been looking for a camper for over 3 years and could not find one with everything we wanted, that suited all the family needs. We walked in and there it was, what an amazing camper we LOVE it, I have alway been a caravan girl, but this camper is better. Any issue we have had with the camper have been fixed within 24hours, and They have been our issue, not a problem with the camper, customer service is amazing, and our trailer in incredible, I can not believe all the storage we have, I can ...Read more

Buyer Beware
Ok if you like sleeping in a puddle. Camper has leaked and i mean leak like a tap on since day one was told to season canvas wet and let dry so the stitching would seal. It has been wet and dried about a dozen times now but don't think its going to seal when you can see daylight through stitching. Good camper if you are a handyman/mechanic/frabricator these campers must have been put together by complete amateurs. When presented camper to mechanics for first registration approval straight from their showroom the springs were installed wrong + l...Read more
oose bolts wheel nut were even lose had to get every suspension component tighten re-assembled. The kitchen stove was installed on an angle and was only secured by one rivet resulting in rattle apart on first camping trip on seal roads. The water tank leaked from outlet fitting and no matter how many cleans tank still smells. Draw bar was welded on not straight so camper wasn't tracking straight had to be removed and re-welded front tool box fitted on draw bar not straight had to be removed and re bolted and seam weld box because rattled apart from poor small welds. Mudgards have cracked off from welds needed to be welded back on. Gas struts had failed had to replace as well as locks all to no available from swag campers at my cost. Wiring for trailer plug incorrect had to get rewired and wiring rubbed through on sharp hole where wire went through chassis had to also get rewired. Frame work inside for canvas has bent and rusted. Trimming rivets came lose because rivets were drilled into no backing. Do not recommend no customer service just kept pushing me away until warranty ended. Only have used camper two times a year for last couple of years and have gotten wet every time so can only use if no rain is forecast.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Disappointed
My wife and I started looking around at Camper Trailers early 2015, we eventually made a decision after 6 months of research and a recommendation to buy A "Swag Sandpiper Delux." Early December we picked up camper from their show room so that we could go camping late December 2015, after camping in our new camper for two weeks we noticed leaks. Zippers were missing and some defects in Canvas, upon our return from the beach I emailed Swag Campers to notify of our problems, still to this day we have not got a decent reply to our email stating the...Read more

Great camper
I purchased a swag camper just over a year ago, and have not stop traveling to different locations with our swag, it is a great camper, comfortable, easy to set up and great to tow.

This review is for service
My wife and I spent weeks researching camper trailers and after checking tare weights, ball weights and features we settled on a swag osprey rear fold trailer. Tare weight 760kgs, we were quoted a ball weight of around 85-90 kg, perfect as our ball limit is 100kg. We paid the deposit and ordered the trailer. A week later we picked the trailer up and noticed it sat very low on the tow bar and handled like a bowl of jelly. Next day I bought a set of ball weight scales and found that the trailer weighed in at 140kg! I got on the phone expecting al...Read more
l sorts of problems sorting out the mess. The manager told me that he would get someone to weigh an osprey and call me back immediately, yeh sure. I was amazed when he called me back within 10 mins, agreed with me, apologised, agreed that the trailer was no good to me as my van could not handle the weight and not only offered me a complete refund but sent a ute around to pick it up! Could not be happier with the service and attitude of the manager.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good Price Camper with poor service
I have owned my Swag Camper for 4 years now and I did have issues but they were minor.
The service from Swag was at best ordinary, minor problems we had they didn't want to know about.
All the locks on the camper had to be replaced, the Struts were stuffed and no instructions on how to put the material together were provided. But the trailer is good, it has held together well and the canvas has done its job.
This camper has endured some fairly heavy rain events and did leak but this was due more to the severity of the rain/wind.

Hard floor off road Swag camper, has been great on the last 6000+km trip mostly off road.
The Swag has had some issues, but none that would cause an off-road adventure to be spoiled. We've repaired the water pressure pump and a number of similar technical defects (there is evidence of shoddy workmanship at the assembly point, since these are imported and assembled locally), but the trailer has really proven itself on the tough stuff, towing well and handling some very tough roads. We have a lot of paint chipping on leading edges/faces from stones that missed the front protective mesh (and the front mud flaps we added, big ones, esse...Read more
ntial!). One rock went right through the mesh, but the damage was minimised. The build quality of the chassis on ours is very good, but any buyer needs to have a good look at welding and general build quality and satisfy themselves. We did that, and the rig, we feel, is very sound. Even the Chinese tyres (LingLong) handled the tough roads well, being six ply on the road surface (but only 2 on the wall) so take these tyres into account and plan to install 8 ply tyres before long. Be careful of staking the side walls in the interim. The wheels are flashy 15 inch units, it is a pity the dealer isn't interested in vehicle matching the wheels so that spares are interchangeable, but the cheap price ends that discourse fairly quickly. Yer on yer own mate. Seals are not a strong point. They keep out grit, not bulldust. And water while they work. But ours are showing signs of deterioration at many points. These should be a reasonably easily replaced item, but perhaps the failure is a bit soon. The chassis is strong, well designed, and tows very well, as good as anything I have ever towed. Mainly because there is a lot of ball weight, and a long axle distance. Not much opportunity to lower that ball weight because the axle is very far back, and the water tank (80l) is the only rearward weight under the chassis. The tank, incidentally, is a bit of an issue, being stainless, good, but we are not too sure about its quality (we had an early "split" repaired under warranty), and will drop the tank out and have a good look at it in the near future. A 100l tank with baffles might just be a mod. We have found water leaks in the canvas, only -so far- in the annex roof, but we haven't since then used the annex (we use the car awning when on the track). We took that back, and they "treated" it for us, but we don't expect it will be too fantastic. Canvas needs treatment and the impacts of leaks are somewhat manageable by setup (angle of the frame to support runoff). Weak points may be that kind of problem. Do your homework! I don't think much of the dealer, or parts backup. They only sell. We have some parts needs right now, so maybe we'll report again! Cheers! P&CSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

No problems
I've had my Offroad Follower trailer for the last couple of years and apart from a set of faulty springs that they replaced, the camper has been pretty good.. It's been everywhere from the beaches of stradboke island, Moreton and Fraser Islands all the way to up Bamaga in north Qld, and I've only just changed the wheel bearings..
Cheap,
Nothing yet, but I might put heavy springs in it..

Worst buy of my life.
Had 3 Campers and they all leaked, water leaked around windows in sleeping area. Swag did however replace the tent each time but the last time prior to going into court I came to an agreement with Swag to put the next tent up to be sure it didn't leak before it was delivered to me but this wasn't done and as a result this tent again leaked. We went back to court and the magistrate decided that It was to be taken back by Swag for them to put up to inspect but it didn't leak in the time that they had it, so it was returned. Numerous photo's of t...Read more
he tents leaking were taken so as to why it didn't leak for them I am not sure. In the time they had it I was forced to pay for accommodation twice resulting in more costs to me. Along with court costs and numerous trips to Brisbane to change over tents I was considerably out of pocket. With the second tent management was more concerned with blaming me for the tent leaking, eg I patched 1 leak with silicone and was told I was voiding warranty by doing this. In regard to stitching letting go I was told by management that I was abusing the tent and putting it up wrong. This has been going on for 3 years now and has been a stressful and time-consuming purchase. Good layout Leaked and poor stitching in tent.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Rust in new Camper Trailer
We had an RACQ report done on our rusting Camper trailer which was still under warranty. The report found that there was no primer used in the painting process. The manufacturer has honoured the rectification work however, the CT has been in their posession for over 2 months whilst they wait for a contractor to sandblast and re-paint the trailer. The kitchen will also have to be replaced because of rust.
tows well
poor workmanship and difficult to setup
