Hi, does this fold up for taking up lifts and storing under desks? I really don't want to have to leave it in parking basement after commute.

Hi, I am thinking of pulling the trigger on the act 1600 but am wary of the weight. J want it for commuting purposes and want to be able to fold up, take up in the lifts and stick under my office desk. Is this possible? Is it unrealistic for a big scooter like this?

Hi Alison,
What I would recommend is get the lithium (lifep04) SXT model. That way you can charge the battery pack at you desk without having to take your scooter up. The battery is light to carry and comes with a standalone battery connector, charger and carry bag.
Businesses normally don’t like staff having their bike or scooter at their desk. I would leave it in the bike rack or somewhere secure where you can lock it up.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Duncan

Thank you for the tip. I did wonder about building policy. What would you recommend as the best locking system for the scooter to give me the best chance avoiding theft?

I have just purchased an SXT 1000 XL scooter. I also have a Kush Fat Wheel 64 V 1500 which charges in less than 4 hours. The SXT ruins well, but I put it on charge and after 10 hours the charger indicator light is still red. I would have thought that it would be fully charged by now and turn green. Also the lights on the handlebar indicator all remain green, yellow and red. do I have a charging problem?

As this model is about 5 years old then I would suggest your charger may be faulty. Replacement chargers are available at our online store at www.scoota-online.com.au.
Please email us is you have any other issues and well get back to you ASAP.

Hi Michael,
We have a caravan and when we camp off grid with our scooters we use a 12v inverter. It converts power 12v to 240v. That way you use the charger that comes with the scooter.
Our inverter is 1500w. We have 2 x 100ah batteries in van that get charged with solar panels. A generator will do the same thing.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Great scooter! How long does the battery last when full charged?
1 answer
Depends on whether you're going flat or up hills. But generally it lasts a long long time. I've only drained the battery once and that was with hours of riding.
