Sun proof by Taubmans is not designed for metal roofs, in my opinion you're best using a paint that's specifically formulated for metal roofs. Whether the roof is galvanised or colourbonded will determine surface preparation and/or priming. Some brands have a built in primer. I would suggest you visit a paint centre for further advice. Hope this helps and good luck with the job!
Sorry, I have no used it on roof. However, Taubmans have instructions for steel and galvanised iron on their website. I believe this is for application on walls rather than roof, so I would use paint specifically for roof.
