Chinese band, Chinese quality
After 1 year and 2 months it died. And now I have to deal with TCL customer support, not that their seems to be any. Even when it worked it was the slowest booting tv I've ever seen. My pc boots faster!
Slow boot
Broken updates
Terrible sound
Picture is decent but not amazing
Purchased in April 2021 at Bing Lee Physical store for $650.00.

Great Smart FULLHD TV and value for money
Initially, I was bit reluctant to buy a TCL brand TV over a Samsung or a Sony. However, I think I have made a good decision by buying a TCL and saving approx. 300 dollars. I have been using it from past 1.5 years and could jot down the following pros n cons -
pros:
Value for money for the features you get
Looks great not cheap for the amount you pay for it
It's a 4K ultra HD smart TV with chrome cast and and gives the option to add Bluetooth devices as well.
Great picture quality though not the best like Samsung on the HDR experience.

Happy
A nice TV and performs well takes a while to start up but it's a Real Android Smart TV so a little patience helps. Picture is great sounds OK too. Plenty of apps and plenty of storage for the apps and for downloading videos, games etc I would recommend this and it's great value for money.

YEAR LATER UPDATE Bought to run with Xbox One X
Honestly, this was the cheapest TV that supported 4k@60hz. With HDR10. It's red is washed out to pink, without a lot of fiddling with settings, (same as my cheapo Hisense). It is certainly better than a Hisense TV. The android function works fantastically well and appears to have 10gig storage in the TV (you can add USB drives). I didn't buy this tv for it's android functions, but the Youtube app on the TCL is far superior to the Xbox, runs 4k perfectly smooth. I could not get HDR10 to work for hours... Heres the trick: set HDMI input to 2.0 (...Read more
not auto) and set colour depth on the Xbox settings to 10bit... you'll get HDR then. At $749 this is a damn good set of features. I got a cash back off TCL, however that ends Today, 12/11/17. April 5th 2018 Update: Cheap UHD, HDR Android TV You're not going to enter 4k gaming with HDR much cheaper than this tv. The HDR takes fidling to get right, the Android works well. It has a bit of frame stutter and image tearing in 4k games, but it's budget enough to overlook. The tv is extremely light, very good for wall mounting. I'd strongly recommend this over a cheap Aldi Bauhn tv. ***************** Now November 2018, one year later. In short, I have now bought an OLED PAnasonic to replace this TV.Similar opinion? Horrible DO NOT Purchase a TCL TV
This TV is a junk
We purchased this unit brand new from Bing Lee and went on holiday before we could set it up.
When we eventually set it up, it was riddled with problems.
HDMI CEC doesn't work
Turning on the TV is PAINFUL, It can take up to 10 mins to turn on, mashing the power button on the remote and the unit (while it's in standby mode) it simply won't turn on.
Fast turn on mode won't work (even when we enable it every time we turn on the TV)
We have been stuck in a customer support loop for over 8 weeks now and we get the runaround...Read more
, they are not just uneducated but they are lazy. I was asked to take days off work to meet a technician who never showed up. Because we didn't open the tv and report it in the first 2 weeks (because we went on holiday) they wont replace it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bang for the buck Android TV
I would recommend this TV for people who only want to spend money on something that is worth more than what it cost. I paid 750 for my 50P20US at Costco when it was on special, which I don't think you can get any better 50" "Andriod TV" out there in this price range. I have played with it for 3 weeks before writing this review, the picture is very good, the sound is ok for flat TV like this, but if you want more Bass, you will need a soundbar. The only problem I had was with the Bluetooth pairing issue, it won't pair with my Bluetooth speaker. ...Read more
I Email the TCL support, they helped me promptly and solved it with a system update. Do remember this is an "Android TV", so do not try the mix it with Apple. It can side load apps with USB drive, transfer youtube video from your phone to the TV with a touch thanks to the built-in Chromecast. I enjoy and love this TV, it even comes with a 3-year warranty for peace of mind. What else can you ask more for a TV at this price range?Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very dissapointed with this Tv's. I purchased it on 17/4 and as we were going on holidays we didn't install it until 1 week ago. Colour isn't as vivid as what we have seen in shops and for viewing from our couch which has a slight angle it is very washed out. should The colour be better. Any suggestions?

I cannot actually answer your question right now, TCL have taken the TV away for repairs, they didn't replace it, they have taken it for over a week now. No return date in sight.
I would NOT purchase anything TCL, do yourself a favour and don't fall for the cheap price.
Yes of course. 10GB storage, plus any other apps that like to be moved to external storage!
