    Effective but a bit industrial

    published

The unit moves a lot of air and can hold its own against Sydney summer (or winter) in my 1950s, poorly insulated house. So it's effective. It's 1yo now and has been reliable. It has two down sides, firstly the thermostat is fairly vague; it doesn't accurately hold it to a specific temperature. The other is that when cutting in and out it makes a quite loud noise as the compressor starts, and this is in my bedroom. It's loud enough to wake someone up, at least until you get used to it.

All in all, does the job, wasn't too expensive, I'm happy with it.

    Cooling is bit noise

    published

Cooling is bit noise. When cooling is turning on, I can have a phone call under the machine. It is bit noise. Heating is OK. Considering it is pretty cheap. It is acceptable for this price.

The remote controller is very nice and easy to use. I would recommend this product if your budget is around 500-600.
