I brought a second C4M last week. Using them together. I am cooking stew in one and rice in the other.....which means meals are ready at the same time

Love it... My life saver

It is super easy to use with clear instructions. Even hubby can use it.
There are so much variety of options that this machine have helped me with. From pasta, to lamb shank to plain rice cooking. The possible is endless at the moment. My favourite is the risotto. It cooks PERFECT risotto.

The cleaning is simple but I just dont know how to remove the very top bit to clean (not in book) so i am not sure how much grime is under there. Fingerscrossed.

The best cooker for everything

published

The best pressure cooker, rice cooker, roaster, and cooking pot I have ever used. For a family of 10. Large chicken roast in just 35 minutes with veggies. Rice in just 9 minutes. It even steams veggies.

Definitely recommend it.

Easy to wash and take a part and re assemble.

Bolognese ready in no time!

published

I'm loving my cook4me pressure cooker, I now use it mainly in manual mode as I got to learn how much time things need to be cooked the way I want. I make curries and ratatouille and bolognese in no time, easy to clean, easy to use and the best of al: safe, no need to get anywhere near the steam valve, it does everything automatically, I wouldn't not change it and I recommend it, I even cook rice in it so goodbye to the rice cooker

I should have bought this long time ago. I have another pressure cooker but it doesn't cook as fast. You can use the recipes that come with it or use it manually.

It's not bad..

The system isn't flexible enough and doesn't have enough recipes to cook from. At times it's difficult to cook food in it when I realise I don't have the required ingredients to cook the dish. It would be better if they offered some alternatives to replace ingredients if need be.

Overall, the Tefal Cook4Me could be good for people who aren't as experienced cooking their own food so they can choose from the basic recipe list. However to improve the product for others to use, there should be a way to download new recipes.

Sorry Marisa, I have not done that and will try to never do it. I leave the lid ajar always to air it. If you are in Australia as I am you should phone Tefal Australia for advice - their number is - 1300 307 824. Good luck!

Hi Julia,
I just did a search on the App and it did not come up as a match. I'm sure though that Tefal would have an information centre. www.tefal.com may be able to help. Good luck, I don't like your chances, but you never know. Actually using it manually may work. Again, good luck! Sue

Is it possible to place a bowl in the steam basket in order to cook rice separately from the rest?

Pen

Yes. It is referred to as Pot in Pot cooking or PIP for short. You must add water to both the pot and bowl for rice. You can use balls of foil, lengths of celery (to form a trivet), an actual trivet or a cake rack instead of the steamer basket if not a good fit. You could also just use the steamer basket on its own but well lined with foil. Just note using the bowl may affect the cooking time as will the construction of the bowl, metal being a better conductor of heat than ceramic etc. Www.pressurecookrecipes.com has a good example of this method in their Chicken Teriyaki recipe video.
