I have for sometime been wanting an upgraded kitchen, I have had several quotes and saw the Good Guys Kitchens offer interest free for 3 years - they also sell in with "these are the kitchens used in the BLOCK". We had our Designer arrive at our house and was there for the next 3 hours. He spoke of how much space I would be gaining here and there, he said all kitchens were custom built. When it came to the pricing he was well over my 7k budget - and that wasn't even including the tradesman. However - I have always thought you get what you p

I asked if I could sleep on it and he said I wouldn't get that pricing if I did. I felt uncomfortable in my own my home and put on the spot. We had our site check done, where I was told his measurements were wrong, and I would loose 100mm, and that the flooring would cost me an extra $280 to be taken up (something the designer forgot to mention). I have now been presented with the final drawings that I do not like, they are using fillers and I am losing cupboard space, when I questioned this the reply was this is the Value range and we can't make changes. Its an overpriced BUDGET kitchen that is not custom built. I have since rung to cancel as I do not like the kitchen plans, have since read these reviews and have even said I understand that it will be $800 to cancel awaiting to hear back on the outcome.Kitchen is great but the installation process was appalling
1. The installer arrived to do the check measure, said the plans were all wrong and would have to be re-drawn. He then phoned back an hour later and asked me to measure the room, then said the plans were OK.
2. His plans on the portal had an error, and although I corrected it on the portal and saw new drawings, the error went to the stone company, delaying the benchtops by ten days.
3. The installer left a 15mm gap between the bulkhead and the ceiling, and then told be that was normal. I had to fix it myself.

I have waited two and a half years to write this review and still feel unhappy
Our kitchen was installed in April 2014 and I'm writing this as my husband is fixing the screws on several cupboard doors that have come loose.
That said, I would say our $12,00 galley style kitchen is acceptable - although the quality is not what I first thought, it is better than the average flat pack. It gets pretty rough treatment from our five year old son and two and a half year old daughter and it's holding up. Except for the free sink and tap, which the chrome has already peeled off and will shortly be replaced.
However I would NOT re
Unable to deliver
My Good Guys account representative advised me on two separate occasions in oct16 that they could not deliver my kitchen in early jan17 as required by our builder due to their Xmas shutdown. So I found someone who could.
When I advised Good Guys I would terminate my account as per our contract and require a full refund $2800. Suddenly they could deliver, everything was possible. Too late for me! Then Goid Guys demanded they keep $800, because they now claim they can deliver. greedy and unprofessional.

Not Happy!
We had so many problems with the quality of our install. From colour variation to hinge quality and the overall level of finish. Don't bother trying to save money with these guys! We will not be doing our next renovation with them.
Dream kitchen turned to nightmare ordeal!!!
Unfortunately having bought a kitchen through the good guys has been a mistake. We went with the good guys as the Designer was lovely and really listen to what we wanted (although costings were wrong on stone benctops that we had to wear as there is a disclosure that they can override the cost, not made aware of this, and had already put down over half the cost of the kitchen when this was discovered).
Unfortunately the quality of the cupboards doors has been terrible. We are now at our 3rd set of replacement doors and the issue is still on

We are at there mercy and there is no customer service. Having constantly to chase them up either by email or phone as they don't bother to get in contact with you. Really fed up, had enough. They have turned this dream renovation into a complete nightmare, and will be lodging a complaint.Still waiting for site supervisor and electrician to install new rangehood and oven and finish cupbo
Pathetic, can't leave the house, still waiting, kitchen table and cupboard still outside, no phone call why, when or how.
No real customers service
I should have gone with my gut not happy with the service sat down with the designer for 3hour to only be told at the site inspection that there was issues can not believe it 3 hours for what so a simple sullliton as made move the dishwasher from point A to point B this also meant removing from the plan 3draws so guess what go a text say it was going to cost me $1066.00 no mention of a credit for the draws also was emailed a waver for the produce a kitchen is a major expanse. This is one customer that is not feeling comfortable with this company
NOT. A HAPPY Customer at all
Disappointed.
As soon as you pay they seem to slow up. Online replies don't come back in 24 hours as they say. Pantry door scratched taking 3 weeks to get a new one as they lost the first. Cupboards and drawers out of alignment. Scratched my newly painted wall. Dented my fridge. Gyprock showing behind microwave. No back on that cabinet. Into the seventh week now. Building materials still under my patio. I run Daycare from home so I cannot let children outside to play. Lost business, new clients not wanting to use me because of long time still to go before materials are out of the way.
I've told Good Guys I want compensation. All has gone quiet.

Extremely bad and arrogant service from the head office and my kitchen is STILL not finished!
I stupidly believed what the Salesman told me and signed for a new kitchen. It was to start 4 Feb. it did and the demolishing, electrician, plumber and carpenter and plasterer were all coordinated with ultra professional contracted professionals. Trouble was the original GGs measurements for my oven and extractor fan. Cupboards were wrong. Also the bulkheads were not included. Good Guys were to provide the contractors with correct material. Nothing ! Then I call HO I get either no answer, arrogance or we will call you back. Nothing! My apartment is in a mess as can't put most things into cupboards. No oven and I have a major party here this weekend. Forget Good Guys Kitchens. They take your money and leave you hanging....
No communication
Kitchen turned up with missing elements and damaged pieces. We are now waiting 3 weeks for replacement parts and a new sink that was buckled. No after sales service and they never return your calls
Very unprofessional, very stressful, no follow up.
Good guys kitchen staff are rude on the phone, kitchen was to be delivered, waited all day, rang them in the afternoon to see where kitchen was and was told it was still in production, (so when where they going to tell me). There was never any follow up to see how everything was going. then when the kitchen arrive the pantry and the cupboard above fridge is two big and fridge wouldn't fit in the opening. So had to be reordered, a week later they were to deliver early and was late. the installer went up and beyond he was unreal and the tradies

And the fact that everything had to be paid up front is a joke. I think you pay your deposit and the balance when kitchen is finished. I do love my kitchen, thanks to the installer and tradies.Find out how The Good Guys Kitchens compares to other Kitchen Renovators

no customer service follow up
Chose Good Guys as thought there would be some protection in using a " well known reputable company" in preference to small one man show,
WRONG!!! There is no follow up quality guarantee,. You are on your own with individual suppliers if something goes wrong. My kitchen design included a large sink. Contacted Good Guys after using it the first time because of scratching & staining. The pamphlet said the sinks were licensed to Good Guys so mistakenly assumed was a quality product. Months later was finally given name of sink company and more t
Terrible service and knowledge
The good guys kitchens are riding on the good guys name and offer none of the service or quality that you'd expect from such a well known brand.
They only seem to contact you at the very beginning and you are never dealing with the same person.
They have inept freelance kitchen designers and they sting you with incorrect stone and installation/trade costs upon sign up - then they change dramatically when your site checker comes out.
Whilst the kitchen is quite good they are unable to customise anything for you and it's difficult to talk t
Very difficult to contact, don't adhere to timelines, quality ok
Updated below.
We're in the middle of getting our kitchen installed and have had a very poor experience to date. We went with them because we were under very tight time pressure to get the kitchen in prior to moving in. But because of the delays we will be without a kitchen for 2.5 weeks.
Positives
The initial kitchen design person was very good and helpful
Installer who came around to assess has been very helpful
Their appliance prices are very competitive
Negatives

The quality is reasonably good. However we still have an issue with the slide out pantry that they say cannot be fixed. The issue is it is very heavy to open and close and the door is not flush with the cabinet. Note, this is 6 months later due to their terrible contact system. I would not recommend them.Details
