I am seriously happy with The Kate by Halo.

My research into the best quality straightener was exhaustive. I thought I was going to purchase another well-known brand, however the reviews of the Halo and comments by hair professionals was overwhelming.

The Kate by Halo heats up quickly and is very easy to use. It has not given me any trouble or concern.

I have fine shoulder-length hair and this can present challenges for poor quality straighteners.

You must always ensure that your hair is completely dry before using straightener and the results with The Kate by Halo are stunning.

My hair is super curly and boofy but this straightener can do the job . Really like this straightener its better then a lot of others makes my hair straight and lovely

Best straightener I've come across I have long full thick hair and ordinary straightener would take an hour to do the job. How ever this takes me under 30 minutes to do so

Easy to use. Heats up quickly. Never burn my fingers using it. Good for curling as well. Nice and long power cord. Doesn't damage my hair. Good size for thick and long hair. Takes only 10 minutes to completely straighten my hair. About 20 minutes to curl it. Thumbs up.

I have had this straightener for less than 3 weeks. I don't use it on the highest temperature because I have thin hair but the casing around the hotplates gets so hot that I can't touch it. If you can't touch it, you can't angle it to keep the hair in place. I'm really disappointed, the girl in the shop gave me a lot of confidence about how good this product was. I'll go back to using my 11 year old FHI.

Bought this today and tried this out at home. The ceramic coating on the plates already have chipped after ten minutes use. What poor quality. I will be returning this tomorrow.

The product blew up in my hand have 3rd degree burns to face and to head very disappointed was not offered a refund and customer service staff was very rude.

I got The Kate as a Christmas present & its the best hair straightener I've ever used. It heats up really fast & has great temperature control. It doesn't sizzle the hair & leaves it silky smooth. I can't get over how quick I can straighten my hair. Absolutely love it!

I'm so glad I invested in this hair straightener, it does a beautiful job. I couldn't be happier. Does a much better job than my ghd. I'm very much in love.

I'm overwhelmed by these results, i got a lot more satisfaction from it than i thought i would. My hair is very thick and course, but this hair straightener just does everything for me. It's very quick of use compared to all the other straighteners i have had. This one is amazing, my hair feels amazing (along with all the products i use to keep my hair as healthy as possible), everything about it is absolutely amazing, if you're looking for a good quality hair straightener, get this one.

I have previously left a review on this product saying how great it is after the first use, but after using it approx five or six times my hair started breaking off so i stopped using the straightener.
I have used it a few more times since but it's just doing more and more damage even on low heat (170deg). I now have heaps of flyaways which I've never had before and the ends look horrible.

I have to go back and buy a GHD now so I've just wasted money on a product that I'm never going to use.

I bought a halo for $350 around 5 years ago and it still works wonders. I am an islander and have very rebellious frizzy coarse long black hair - halo is the ONLY hair straightener that manages to tame my frizz and results in super smooth and shiny hair in a very short time. It usually takes me close to an hour to straighten my hair using other straighteners, however halo gives me stunning results in under half an hour (thats for a full head of thick islander hair...haha). I have used many ghd's and others - but they dont give me fab hair like halo did and still does. It's the best thing I've bought for my hair. I'm extrememly happy with it. Probably one of the few things that I've purchased that's worth every penny!

I went into Hairhouse Warehouse half planning to buy a GHD Platinum but asked about the Halo Kate as I'd read a few good reviews. The guy I spoke to told me that Halo is the kind of 'discount' brand of Cloud 9 straighteners and that basically sold it for me because I'd heard amazing things about Cloud 9s. I liked that it had a temperature control too. Got home, turned it on and gave it a whirl... it's absolutely awesome, I'm so happy that I chose it!!! My hair is so soft and shiny and straight... 100% no regrets, love it!

I bought a Halo Kate straightener from Hairhouse Warehouse a couple of years ago. It's going fine. It gets used every day by me or one of my 2 teenage daughters who both have very long thick and wavy hair. It heats up fast and gets through my short wavy hair quickly. I haven't tried a ghd or cloud 9 so I can't compare it. However I have had a couple of really cheap straighteners and it's much better than those. I am thinking of trying a different brand so the girls can have their own in their bathroom ( not use mine so much) but am still tossing up whether to spend $200-$300 for another straighter.

Was going to invest in a ghd but brought it from a total hair care warehouse for 149.00 have Been very happy with it especially the thermostat as sometimes it can get way too hot for my fine hair :)

Initially I walked into hairhouse warehouse intending on purchasing a GHD. After a good salesman spoke to me I walked out with the kate by halo. I previously had a ghd that lasted me years til I lost it and with the kate by halo I find it to be okay. I don't use it much maybe once a fortnight if that but it does a good job straightening my hair. I hope it lasts me forever especially for the price I paid
does a good job, heats up fast, nice long cord, good package I received free halo branded clips and comb and brush
long name.. should be simpler.. very expensive
