Mood support is not mood mamager
Mood manager gave me the boost l needed to climb out of an emotional slump l was stuggling to rise above. The SAMe is vital to the product. I had recommended it to a lot of people. It worked.
Purchased for A$60.00.

Mood manager was my support when needed, gone
My situation echoes the previous response.
I have tried other brands with SamE, they do nothing to assist me.
Mood Manager worked for me. Why is it replaced with your new product which does nothing to assist ?
Am disappointed and feel am left with no options.
Purchased in July 2021 for A$60.00.

Mood manager AMAZING - disappointed in MOOD SUPPORT
I have been taking Mood Manager containing SAMe for years. It was the perfect combination for my depression and anxiety, whereas I am sensitive to mainstream drugs and this was an excellent combination that made me happy and able to cope with stress and anxiety. WHY HAVE YOU DISCONTINUED IT... when it is obvious by the reviews that many others also loved this product.
I am disappointed that you have claimed to ‘rename’ this product when it is actually a totally different product containing different ingredients. Be upfront and honest, Mood...Read more
support is a NEW product, not rebadging an old one. If I wanted St Johns Wort, I would have bought that in the first place. Now I need to trial SAMe from other brands to find one that worked as effectively as yours did. Please bring it back.Purchased in June 2021 at Chemist Warehouse for A$62.00.

They changed the ingredients when they changed the name, but kept the same reviews??
I have been taking Thompson’s “mood manager” with brilliant success. The only natural supplement that has worked for my depression and moods. I went to buy my latest bottle to find it has been renamed mood support. Upon closer inspection of the label I realised they have changed all the ingredients. The active ingredient used to be sam-e. Now they are using St. John’s wort. If I wanted to use St. John’s wort I wouldn’t be spending $60 a bottle. Plus the fact St. John’s wort interacts with other medications. This product is just a waste of money now. Very disappointing Thompson’s..

Be aware - this product review title has changed from the original mood manager to the alleged replacement mood support!
I find it disgusting that there are multiple historical reviews relating to Thompsons Mood Manager, praising how great a product it is and those reviews have been transferred over to the title of Thompsons new product, Mood Support.
Thompsons have discontinued Mood Manager and are now selling Mood Support. Thompsons are falsely claiming that Mood Support Capsules are "Formally known as Mood Manager".
This is absolutely false.
Understand fully that all reviews prior to June 2022 are referencing the original, now discontinued Thompsons Mood...Read more
Manager. Thompsons Mood Manager was an absolutely brilliant product with the main ingredient being SAMe. Thompsons Mood Support is just another off the shelf item with the main ingredient being St Johns Wort.Purchased in June 2021 at Chemist Warehouse Physical Store for A$50.00.

What a difference!
Using product for perimenopausal symptoms Just wow! Took a few weeks to feel major change. Quality of life improved, if I forget to take it after a few days negative thought patterns & anxiety flares up. Helps me sleep.
Purchased in December 2021 at Chemist Warehouse Online Store for A$55.00.

Tastes like vomit :(
I bought Thompson's mood managers and I haven't yet tried them (the 3 star rating is because I don't know if they're excellent or terrible yet) because I can't get past the taste. I'm sure they do wonders for depression and anxiety, but are there ways of making it not taste like vomit, which makes me want to vomit?
Thanks

Good for menopause
I'm a 52 year old woman and I was struggling with mood swings associated with menopause. I started taking mood manager 12 months ago. I thought as it had helped my son when he was a moody hormonal teenager (they were recommended by a psychologist and a naturopath) it may help me. Well it has. It took a couple of weeks before I really began to notice a definite difference. I am rather sceptical of 'suppliemats' so went of them about two months ago and I noticed a difference after a couple of weeks... I was back to being grumpy and teary. So I am back on the once again and I feel better for it. Who knows... It may be mind over matter... But I feel better and that is all that matters.

Solid
It does improve the mood but I found that it increased my edginess. Rather than calm me, it had opposite effect. Still worth giving a go when you feel down but does little for anxiety.

A sanity saver for a parent with hormone challenged teens
My son was explosive and self challenged during the heavy hormone influx of mid teens. Even a few days on Mood Manager saw a calm self confidence begin and only strengthen. Study, girlfriend, homelife became much more positive. His self awareness developed and his anxiety now is if he misses his daily dose.

Absolutely Brilliant
I suffer from anxiety and negative thoughts that I attach to and although meditation and subliminal hypnosis downloads work, finding the time often is hard and then when you are at a particular level of 'uptight' you cannot meditate etc. Found these and gave them a go and noticed within around 2 weeks the negative thoughts stopped coming on so strong, in fact were mild, I wasn't as irritable, I could relax and read a book, that I felt more like my good day ever day. Highly recommend them.

Great Product, works.
Although successful for most people, "proper" mood medicines either have not worked or worked for a few months before worsening my condition.
I came across this product to try and tackle my insomnia. It was the only product I found in Australia containing SAM-e which is reputed to be helpful in restoring deep sleep.
In my case, I have found that taking one tablet a day does make a difference and improves my mood. It should be enough for people with mild or temporary issues. Taking two a day (maximum recommended) works even better of course...Read more

It works
I have tried numerous herbal and prescription medications to deal with stress, anxiety and depression, including HTP, St Johns Wort, Magnesium to name a few and all to no avail.. Mood Manager is the one that works. I believe it is the SAM-e that is the key. The product seems to take affect with in days and it has made a noticeable difference, I feel quite happy and cheerful all day, every day now.

Why did Thompsom change the ingredient in The Mood Manager tablets
Barbara V.asked
Is Thompsons mood manager available out of Australia. Mood Support contains St Johns Wort so is not suitable
3 answers
Thompsons mood support is available in Australia, however this product has not worked for me. Thompsons mood manager worked very well for me for many years, iit was replaced with mood support, and is no longer available. I am not aware if it is available beyond Australia. You'll have to do a search.
Barbara,
I searched the different active ingredients included in Mood Manager now left out of Mood Support and found the use of them was recently restricted due to long term dangers to the body.
I was also bummed by the loss of the only product that has worked for me.
Good luck
Rgds Zeff
Hi Zeff 1, my thoughts exactly....and mood support is not a suitable substitute....different ingredients also contains St Johns wort which can interact negatively with other medications.I found Mood Manager excellent. I have found another supplement with the same ingredients so heres hoping it works as well. Rgds Barbara V.
Barbara,
Which alternative brand have you tried with same ingredients and has it worked for you

Does anyone know if I stop my antidepressants can I start taking Mood Managers straight away?
1 answer
Big question
Depends on what rype of meds you are on, tje strength of dose and how long you have been on antidepressant s. My general experienc suggests you speak to a GP who knows your circumstance about your current meds but well qualified naturpath or similar about mood manager. In short, yes, probably, with caution and consultation.
