TomTom Start 52 (5") Questions & Answers

I have and old tom tom which I have been using for a few years now. It is still going strong, with map updates. I also have a start 62 which works after more than 12 months without issue.

I haven't done this myself though I have looked into how this can be done and this is what I have come up with- (this was changed in 2013, so pre 2013 models will be a bit different)
1. Push Menu (bottom left)
2. Push Search
3.To the right of the search box, select the type of search (Whole maps, top right)
4.Select Latitude Longitude. (should be bottom left)
The keyboard changes to a special keyboard for coordinate entry
5.As you type in the coordinates, suggestions are shown based on what you have typed. You can continue typing or select a suggestion. ◾The line under the code turns red if the coordinates are incorrect and turns blue when correct.
◾The example under the line helps you to type in the correct code.
6.Select a suggestion for your destination then select Drive

With Tom Tom, to get updates on 'Safety' Cameras, you will need to pay a small subscription fee. This is separate from the free bi-annual maps.

Tom Tom gives you 3 months free Fixed Speed Camera updates,
Advance warnings on your TomTom START notify you when you're approaching a speed camera, and remind you of the required speed limit. You can download updated camera locations for 3 months, at no extra cost, by regularly connecting to your computer,

Only for fixed cameras when you pay the subscription. Actually you only need to pay for updates.
