Quick Weight Loss Must be In Right Frame of Mind
This is a really good program to get the weight loss started. If you don't lie to yourself and stick to this diet it really works and quickly between 1-3 kg a week. It is really cheap too - I find it strange that people in these reviews keep saying it is expensive. A meal for under $4 seriously CHEAP! You can't buy a cup of coffee for less than this in Australian capital cities. Anyway it works - I lost 22kg in 11 weeks - I did gain it back but that wasn't a fault of the diet it was my fault - I went back to my old eating habits. Back on it aga...Read more
in - why because it works! It is hard for the first week while your body adjusts but as soon as you are in ketosis and if you don't cheat you will stay in ketosis and you just don't get hungry. But like any diet you need to be in the right place and 100 percent committed for it to work. Good luck! Quick results on the scales First week challengingSimilar opinion? Tony ferguson weight loss
I used The programme about 3 years ago. I have put a little weight back on, however I haven't been eating as well as I should be and I have not been as active. I found the programme very effective with virtual instant results. Those who say they put weight back on have only themselves and their unbroken habits to blame. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for truly "measurable" results.
it actually worked very well
at the start i had a few minor headaches

Worse than Consistent Healthy eating and exercising
As a fledgling nutritionist, I don't recommend this diet to anyone. It eliminates all carbs that leaves with no energy and you will gain whatever weight you lose immediately once you go off it. No substitute for consistent healthy eating and exercise. I also think this diet enables yoyo weight loss, which means they will always have customers.
Temporary cure, gives you no energy, enables yoyo weight loss

It is a tool that can help, not the answer to all your troubles
I lost nearly three kilos in the first week. I know that this is one of many tools, and that i am the one doing the work. I am amazed at the people who lose weight on this programme, and then complain because the put weight back on after they finish it. Of course you will if you don't change the habits that caused you to put weight on. You can't blame whatever weightloss programme you choose to help you get it off. There are many ways to do it, but you have to make the effort yourself, and then make the effort to keep off whatever you lose....Read more
Don't blame the tools for your own inadequacies. I have a strong belief in the saying if it is to be it is up to me, and this applies to everything. I have to take responsibility, and i am responsible for the tools i choose to help me. Please people think before you criticise. I for one am very grateful this programme is so good. I do not believe it is expensive - compare the price per meal (shake) to the cost of fish and chips, or burger, a packet of chocolate biscuits, an icecream or chocolate. Or whatever else you would normally overindulge in. Focussed choices help me from making bad choices. Good range of products, easy to manage, value for money.Similar opinion? Misleading membership fees
Last night I went online & paid $15 membership ... which doesn't include any information on the programme!!
You have to pay another $20 to get the programme guide to start this programme!! But you don't know that until you have registered.
Under the Fair Trade Practices Act - that is called misrepresentation i.e. fraud.
Additionally, it turns out I only have half an account. I have received no Welcome email confirming my membership. However Tony Ferguson very efficiently deducted my bank account within moments of registerin...Read more

Worked For Me
If you follow the instructions, you will lose weight. It worked for me. I reached the target weight. The shakes and other meals taste good. The diet is a bit complicated, but you get detailed instructions. You do feel hungry sometimes, but it is best to resist the temptation to eat the wrong foods. I did put on some weight after I finished.
Tastes good. You steadily lose weight.
It is hard not to put on weight when you finish.

Made me sick!
I joined Tony Ferguson and paid my official membership. Bought all my shakes and snacks. I started off and lost 6kgs in my first week. n after that it was all over. I became extremely sick from the shakes. the content of sugar is really high. Felt dizzy and light headed constantly! lost more weight eating a great meal and working out 6 days a week. seems expensive to me and once you stop, the weight all comes back on. would bother wasting my time.

Aspartame? Really?
Yesterday I signed up with TF. I have around 60kg to lose. The lady had already piled everything into my trolley and I enquired about the cordials. I was shocked to see Aspartame as an ingredient. I then noticed it was also in the jelly.
If you are promoting healthy eating, why oh why are you adding a deadly neuro toxin to the ingredients??
A lot of people see the dangers as some kind of nutter conspiracy theory. But if so many different sources are proclaiming the same thing..Countries have banned it... States in the US have banned it. Even ...Read more

Tried, but failed
I found the program too hard to stick with, and that I wasn't learning how to become a healthier eater, I was just undertaking a 'quick fix' approach to being overweight. It was great to have consultant support without monthly membership fees, but I regained all the weight I lost (plus gained a few extra kilo's after having been on this diet).
Consultant support
Too difficult to maintain adhering to what I could and couldn't eat, and weight came off fast during the first three months but grounded to a complete halt thereafter

Lost weight then regained it
I lost 12 kg in 12 weeks but I regained the weight as soon as I stopped drinking the shakes.
The shakes were sweetened with fructose powder and I have since learnt that the breakdown of fructose in the liver leads to a builup of visceral fat, elevates triglycerides, increases LDL,increases blood pressure, makes tissues insulin resistant and increases the production of free radicals.
Fast weight loss
Expensive and regained the weight when I went on a maintenance diet.

Nice food but in the dark ages with regards to science
The dietary advice will help you lose weight while on the diet, then you'll pile it back on once you go back to eating normally. Plus the advice is quite old fashioned, fat does not make you fat. The health community knows this now and it is high time the media caught up.
tasty

Nice & light feeling
Great tasting with promotional perks. Love the bangle beads. Keeps me going back. Love the chocolate flavored drinks and the soups - mushroom and cream of chicken. I Like the fibre for the shakes and the chromsomething to keep the bsl stable. I'm in a master class so I'm hoping to win!
Tastes great.
Feel a bit funny talking about weight in a pharmacy set up with other customers around.

Not For The Long Run
I went on Tony Ferguson about 5 years ago now and I had maybe 30kg to lose. I managed to lose 15kg but this diet is extremely hard for me to stick to. The shakes really do taste great! but having to cut out certain foods from my diet completely does not work for me and I longed to "eat" instead of drink my meals. I felt deprived. The recipe books are great also and the meals are yummy but I missed potato and pasta etc I gained all the weight back within a few months. I dont believe that the program gives you enough information to be able to kee...Read more
p the weight off in the long run and does not delve into why you eat what you do and why you are the weight you are. I have since found a program that works for me and teaches me all I need to know. I think Tony Ferguson is a great place to start your weightloss if you have a lot to lose but inthe long run I think you are better off following a plan that has you cooking all your own meals and following a calorie counting system. The taste, The ease of it. Not sustainable, felt like I was missing out.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Has its pros and cons...
I went on the Tony Ferguson program last year August when I needed to lose weight for my wedding. I lost about 10kgs in the space of 4 months. It was quite difficult for me to follow as I am not a creature of habit at all but I stuck to it as much as I could. I put back all the weight + some (which is totally my fault) and am back on the program. I am a big snacker and eliminating that is the hardest part of the diet for me. The shakes taste great which make the diet quite manageable. I would never recommend the soups as I hate the taste and t...Read more
exture but the munch bars are not that bad if you're on the run and can't make a shake. I've found that I sometimes get quite hungry on the program so I still have the sugar free sweets that are allowed. The consultants are quite helpful and very friendly. I like the diet because I see the results every week, even if it is just a few hundred grams every week, and that motivates me. Even though I have learned a lot about food groups and portion size I don't think the diet as a whole is sustainable in the long term. It's great to lose unwanted weight relatively fast but I don't see myself having at least 1 shake a day for the rest of my life. I think that once I have reached my goal weight I will look for another program that is easier to follow long term. The shakes taste great. Unsustainable in the long term.Similar opinion? It worked for me
I started the Tony Ferguson program after I saw family and friends shed kilo's in a short time. I lost about 15 kgs in quick time and have largely been able to keep it off since. Alot of my friends ended up putting on kg's after they lost weight, so I guess its not for everyone. The product may not be perfect but it changed the way I look, gave me more confidence to get out and do things I wouldnt have otherwise done. So it pretty much changed my life. I think the best part about it is that the shakes taste OK and I like the much bars. So I fin...Read more
d it pretty satisfying. It also helps manage how much you consume in a pretty effortless way. I never felt hungry on the diet. I'd recommend the program to people who have tried to loose weight every which way and not been successful. You'll know in a couple of weeks if the program is for you or not. My main message is that success engenders more will power, so once you see a few kilo's shed, that helps you maintain the motivation to loose more.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great to kick start a healthy lifestyle, but not economical long term
I started on the shakes in Jan 2008 and learned a lot from the eating plan. So simple and straight forward and if you make a dedicted effort to kick those bad eating habits the weight falls off consistently and you feel fantastic. Basically I had no knowledge of protein, carbs etc but you learn that a balance of the two combined with lower portion size and you're on your way to a healthier, slimmer you. I started on two shakes a day & after I'd lost 14kgs a few months later went to having one shake for breakfast. I'd never been a breakfast eate...Read more
r so kicking off my morning with a shake is the key to me maintaining my weight some 4.5years later. Disappointingly there's no bulk discount or incentives for customer loyalty! :( Loyal customers. Learned how simple it is to eat right and lose weight permanently! No discount for long term loyal clients. I buy my shakes 100+ at a time and never get a discount after 4.5years!Similar opinion? Easy and filling
I have been on this diet for three weeks. I seemed to actually put on weight in week 2, but kept going and week 3 showed a 3 kilo loss in total. I 'only' need to lose about 10 kilos so this is not a result that I expected. I have only tried the shakes, and to be honest, I only like the coffee, mocha and chocolate ones but that's enough variety for me. I am not at all hungry on this diet. I continue to eat my veges baked with olive oil and I am still losing weight. I think if I steamed everything, I'd be as hungry as some of the low raters are. ...Read more
I still have the odd glass of wine if I want to, but the main thing is that I have stopped constantly snacking and/or eating the food while cooking for my family. It just makes you aware of what and how much you eat. I have read comments about the amount of sugar in the shakes. It does seem that they have a lot of sugar, but think of all the chocolates and cakes and so on that you aren't eating. At two shakes a day (50 g) of sugar is probably more than ideal, but if we are on this diet in the first place, I suspect most of us have more than that anyway. Once you reduce to one shake a day, you can control sugar intake yourself. I think that if you understand that you can't lose weight and then go back to bad habits and overeating, you should be fine. I have lost weight before with a similar diet and kept it off for ten years, until I got pregnant and changed my eating habits. I showed the diet to my doctor and she said it seemed pretty good. The side effects of being obese or very overweight, especially in middle age, are so awful that I think being on a diet like this for a couple of months is probably a good option if, like me, you just can't seem to do it yourself. Inexpensive, filling, some shakes deliciousSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

the product works but the service lets it down
My husband and I both started using Tony Ferguson and both had good results fairly quickly. Although we were both questioned when we started the program and we felt at the time that we'd had good service, it wasn't until later that we realised that we just didn't get enough information. According to our GP, neither of us should have been using Tony Ferguson. I was trying to get pregnant and my husband was on medication that was not compatble with some of the ingredients in the shakes.
it worked almost straight away
service wasn't thorough enough, not suitable with certain health issues

Hi - I’m no doctor - but there’s so much more to these shakes that you need to do.You should check with your Dr - you need vitamin tablets,2lt water and start slowly by only having 1 shake a day with a low carb diet and work slowly to 2 shakes a day.Maybe change to optifast shakes.Tonys used to be good but changed their recipes and now taste Horrible.Hope you get better and get Dr advise :)

e honey contains minute quantities of additional healthy ingredients, it is essentially nothing more than liquid sucrose. Clinical studies suggest that fructose consumption is associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver, obesity, insulin resistance, increased uric acid, increased LDL cholesterol and apoprotein B,increased small LDL, and an increase in fasting triglycerides. In short, increasing intakes of fructose are associated with a constellation of metabolic disturbances. Effects are dose-dependent, with effects beginning with exposures as little as 30 grams per day and increasing in magnitude with greater quantities.
