Great product, using it for over 2 years and still working great.
Great product, using it for over 2 years and still working great. Not a very top end machine yet powerful enough for professional use. I use multiple applications simultaneously and some of them are resource hungary but it never disappointed me.
Purchased in August 2021.

Had higher expectations...
I bought this laptop for only school use (word processing, web browsing) and was excited to get it. After using this laptop for over 2 years I was disappointed.
The keyboard which detaches from the screen is made from 100% plastic and feels cheap. A very annoying design flaw is how the entire computer is in the screen since it detaches off, I often have the laptop falling backward due to the uneven weight (mainly when plugging things into the keyboard).
When the lid is shut it presses against the key which leaves permanent smudge-like makin...Read more
gs outlining the mousepad and keyboard all over the screen. I very much enjoy the built in 4G sim card slot and hope to see this feature on more laptops in the future. As for I/O the 2 USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, VGA and Ethernet ports on the keyboard are plenty for my uses. The screen has a micro USB, Micro HDMI and Micro SD Card slot are handy to have, One of the best things of this laptop is the excellent battery life (it has 2 batteries, in the screen and keyboard) and performance. In windows 10 Pro little to no lag occurred doing day-to-day tasks. I have the 4GB RAM and 110GB SSD model. The trackpad isn't the best of the best, but it gets the job done. If you are going to by this Laptop for purely school use, go for it. But using it for other tasks (video editing, gaming) is not so good.

Worst laptop ever.
Worst computer ever, tried around 10 if they were appropriate for my school and all of them have died. The screen is so loose, screen is not even 720p it leaves permanent marks on the touchscreen and lighting marks. Every image has a driver missing. The side silver 'dent' bars dented in the box! The keyboard and mouse are different and some are faster on some. Earphones port was already broken on 3. USB 3.0 blue bar falls off. Keys fall of when you use them. Processing speed is only 1.1GHZ. This is the worst computer I have ever seen. It comes...Read more
with 2 batteries that dont even last 3 hours in total. The anniversary update makes it even worse. It is called a laptop but I am not so sure about that anymore, it falls to the ground if you put it on your lap.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great all rounder
In April last year I took the plunge and purchased my Toshiba Z20T 4G online direct from Toshiba, as it wasn't available in shops. It ticked a lot of boxes for me, as I was comparing it with similar products from MS Surface Pro, Lenovo and HP. Basically it's a 2-in-1 type computing device, the screen detaches from the keyboard and does double duty as a tablet. There are several models available, my unit has 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and SIM card slot (4G). I added a custom folio cover and micro USB to USB adapter from Toshiba. Since I purchased my dev...Read more
ice, the price has increased some $300. The big ticks were 4G capability, similar to iPad, a battery in both screen and keyboard, lots of ports for a variety of input options. The ports in the tablet are of the micro variety plus an micro SD card slot for memory expansion. The keyboard has full size USB 3.0 (2), HDMI, RGB and gigabit RJ-45. The unit ships with 2 digital pens, a slim version that slides into the body of the tablet and a bulky one that attaches to the folio cover. The unit replaces my Toshiba Qosmio X70 (a bulky 17 inch gaming laptop, reviewed previously). Reducing your screen size by some 30% hits you straight away, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the performance of this unit. It happily runs my genealogy database with some 200,000 records or editing photos using Photoshop Elements. I have no problems with "smallish" capacity of the SSD as all my space hogging files are stored on my network drive. I have found the 4G capability a real asset and enables me to leave my iPad mini behind as the Toshiba gives me all I want/need when out and about and don't need to be discreet about carrying it. At home it connects to my WiFi network without issue. The unit initially came with Windows 8.1 Pro installed which I have since upgraded to Windows 10 Pro with no performance issues or loss of functionality. It's a shame this unit is only available online from Toshiba as from my perspective it more than gives its competitors a run for the money.1 comment

Update: I've now had the unit for about 2 years and it still rocks! It is running Windows 10 Anniversary Edition (build 1607) and is about 95% reliable. I had to do a factory reset around 6 months ago... Read more
due to a Windows update malfunction, but it has generally been problem free. I have attached a 24inch monitor and wireless keyboard/mouse for desk work. It has finally replaced my iPad mini, as it gives me most of the functionality I used on that anyway. When the time comes to replace, I'll seriously consider buying another, as the latest versions are available with better processors and extra RAM (at a price :) .
