This is my 7th or 8th Toyota
When looking to purchase a new car recently it was between the i30, i20 and Accent from the Hyundai range and the Yaris and Corolla from Toyota.
Although I have had a couple of new Hyundai's before I went with the Toyota Corolla simply because of the reliability factor and resale value.
The Corolla was about 4k dearer than the Yaris and my budget would have been better off with the Yaris but 21k for a brand new Corolla with auto CVT was not too bad.
I was really impressed with the Corollas finish. The dash/cockpit and interior is simp...Read more
ly beautiful and this model even though it is a base model it has a reversing camera. The bluetooth handsfree audio quality on the media player is clear. There is a six speaker CD/Bluetooth/iPod/Mp3 player which is reasonable quality but because the rear speakers are in the rear doors the sound/bass is not that special. It's acceptable but it sounds like there are no rear speakers at all.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Awesome transport
The interior parts of the car are new and easily decorated with floor mats, cushions and seats. The engine is in good condition and 35 litres of petrol can travel around 170 kilometers. The body still looks shiny and I feel normal when driving a ten year old car on the road.

Perfect car for both short and long trips!!!
We purchased this car as a second car for everyday short trips mainly for the wife as I lease a Mitsubishi Outlander from work. But we ended up taking it for a 1,500km road trip and was very happy with the performance. It may look small from outside but quite spacious inside and great on fuel. Although the price is little high compared to the similar sized cars of similar quality, we are very happy with it. Great on Fuel too.

A good car
Although it is my first car, I compared it with many other brand of cars before i bought it. The driving experience is really good. It has a good engine and efficient brake system. Besides, the outlook is also my style, not that too big and too small.I like it

very reliable and economical but with some irritating issues.
Great little car that is comfortable, easy to drive, stylish, economical and very reliable. However, the USB port is in a very awkward position, under the sound system in a little nook and should be on the radio fascia,The heating system is still using the turn knob technology and you almost have to pull off the road to set it, it should be push button. it does not have rapid demist option that has been around in most other cars for years. The reversing camera is very slow to engage, i have usually finished the reversing maneuver before it comes on.I would have thought Toyota would have had these items sorted by now. Other than that, a great little car.

my lil baby is a gem
my first band new car.. always have owned a corolla, and have never been disappointed. easy to get repaired when needed ( even with non Toyota parts). its got enough style to be modern but for me the purpose of a car is to get from point A to point B safely & quickly

Excellent Everyday Car
The perfect small sized car for anybody.
If you want reliability, good fuel consumption and economical, this is the car to go far. Toyota always have a good interior that focuses on convenience and as I have owned one in the past, Toyotas are easy and cheap to service. For a small car it is quite spacious, best for children but might require something else for adults.

Corolla Ascent 2014
Another perfect product from Toyota
I could not be happier with my little corolla, this looks great, is easy to drive/park and is safe for my family
I can fit all my shopping, booster seat and 3 wheeled pram in with no problem
I feel confident that my corolla although not the cheapest in its price range is worth every dollar and in 10 years from now will still be going well and looking great

afforable price and esthetic!
I purchased The Corolla 4 months ago. I loved it when I first looked at and I tried to have a drive. The engine runs smoothly and the gear is so light when you move it forwards and backwards. The overall of the interiors and exteriors are satisfied me. The price of the car wont easily drop as other cars.

Great compact car
I bought this car for commuting to work and it's a very economy easy driving car. It has a good quality reverse camera with lines showing the edge of car. Parking is pretty easy with this camera.
Customer service on this car was great. Every step of my purchase and finance was easy and smooth and staff are really polite, caring and organised.
Totally happy with Toyota and this car.

It's better than a Cruze
I bought a base model 2013 hatch auto in white. The acceleration and reputation of Toyota is what influenced me to buy the car to replace my lemon of a Cruze.
After owning it now for 2 years I have decided to write a review.
The car is not as good looking as other cars in its segment and the dash and green lights are very dated, plus lacks those convenience features like auto on headlights, reverse sensors or camera, colour screen stereo, etc.
Plus side is I added some of these things myself quite cheaply using aftermarket fog lights a...Read more
nd stereo. The car is full of blindspots, has extreme cabin noise and the projector hir2 headlights offer extremely poor lighting at night. The high beams don't actually provide much extra lighting and the CVT seems to overheat and lose power after use in stop start traffic almost every drive.Similar opinion? Great car with lots of Grunt
The 2016 Corolla Sports is a great car with alloy wheel and great seats, the 6 speed automatic is also very frugal on petrol and the drive, handling and acceleration is exceptional. The car is for both young and old with its styling and standard features. The air conditioning is very effective in all types of weather and does not give up on long trips. Fixed price service is also a great feature.

Great 2nd car
This car has been a surprisingly great wee runner, and is the preferred car to drive in the family. It's, as you would expect it's great around town, but is good for long distance interstate travel, which is handy when you get to another state capital city you are not familiar with. It was chosen over similar cars for being less vanilla, offering a funky yellow/ green colour and having a exciting sporty interior for its price.

Love it! Love it! Love it!
Smoothest automatic I have ever driven, quiet, seamless gear change. The Sports option button means that when I get out of the stop/go of town traffic, I can just GO, GO, GO! The sports mode definitely improves cornering 'at speed' . The seating is comfortable and spacious. The boot huge, easy to access. The digital touch screen in the centre of the dash, fades out with the parking lights on, which is normal, however it does make it difficult to read if you want to make an adjustment. The print on the screen is large, which makes it readabl...Read more
e even without my glasses. Love the Bluetooth phone and all the controls on the steering wheel. Voice recognition works very well, just don't rush it. Cruise control is perfect for those long trips, very easy to operate. Cup holders galore and excellent water bottle holders in the door. Charging our phones is so easy with the covered USB ports and cigarette holder. The individual overhead lights are really useful and the grips above the doors - so me! The car starts instantly and seems to be very efficient when run on eco mode. Sports mode uses fuel more quickly, as is to be expected. I feel more secure, having a proper spare wheel back again. Overall a brilliant, well priced, easy to park car and I just love driving it!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

great vehicle to drive and has plenty of hatch space
Vehicle performance is great in both city and country conditions, handles well with plenty of overtaking power on the open road, interior is very functional and looks good, only complaint is rear vision mirror blocks some front view for taller people, very economical for running costs only needing 1.5 tanks to Mildura return from Adelaide.

Corolla Sport 2016
Traded my 2012 ford focus for a corolla sport. Reason why I didn't stay with the focus was mainly build quality. Dash and door rattles after 40,000kms and the 2nd focus with alternator faults. The sport won't set your world on fire but I like the reliability/ build quality. I actually like the 'old school' 1.8l motor. Its quiet and after 2000kms has used 6.1l per 100kms. Will be interesting to watch as the focus was 7.2l over 67,000kms. My 2007 LS focus was 8.1per 100kms. All these measures are on the same 90km round loop to work 5 days a week....Read more
The auto is one of the best I have driven (and I drive alot of different cars for work and play). The sport is quiet and a great drive around town but does get a bit noisey from rough road surfaces at 100kms. No more than the focus, but more than I like. A smooth freeway is very quiet. All in all, a good start to ownership3 comments
Just had the 20,000km service. Fuel usage for had sat at 6.4l per 100kms for those 20,000kms. Its now after an extra 2,000km dropped back to 6.3l. Not having voice recognition annoys me but apart from that happy days.
30,000km - 6.1l per 100km. Same 90km round trip to work. Winter so not using a/c as much. Give me apply play and I'd be a very happy owner.

Reliable, Safe, Stylish, Quality Product with Excellent Resale Value
Have the 2015 update shape hatch model. Bought this car as my family and some friends swear by Toyota/Lexus as well as driving alot of them as hire cars and loved them so much that didn't want to return them. My Granny's 1999 Corolla and my Mums 2003 Echo have never had a thing ever go wrong with them so shows you just how reliable Toyota is. Did look at and test drive its main rivals that were on the market at the time and found this to be the safest and best purchase option as far as Reliability, Quality, Style, Safety and Resale value were c...Read more
oncerned. Really like the CVT gearbox once got used to it and the engine has more than enough power in this format. Find driving it to be a very pleasing tactile experience and it is low slung to the road compared to some of the older models though you get used to it. It hugs to the road at highway/motorway/freeway speeds and is extremely comfortable with plenty of power for overtaking, if you ever need to get a really good boost of power just simply change the CVT mode over to sport. Seats are extremely comfortable and the rear occupants have more than enough leg room in the rear even for tall adults. Camera is great for getting into very tight fitting car spaces especially in large inner city's. The Audio entertainment system is excellent with great sound quality. Has a full sized spare wheel in the lower grade variants which is a huge plus especially if you are in the country. Dealer fixed price Servicing costs are excellent in the overall annual cost although you have to have it serviced every six months. Have had some annoying rattles in the front door trims and the dealer has been sorting these out. Am extremely happy with the car overall and would definitely recommend you purchasing one as you simply cant go wrong with this exceptionally reliable brand and model as their is no doubt whatsoever why its the worlds most popular and best selling car. You will be making a extremely wise choice you will not regret.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

great little car
i love my Toyota corolla, my last one was built in 1976 and it did me vey well. If the new one lasts as long as the last one I will be extremely happy. Drives very well, comfortable, minimal road noise. Cheap to run as only a 4 cylinder car.

A good drive but ruined by poor execution in other areas
The Corolla is a powerful vehicle for its class and the CVT transmission is smooth and seamless. The let down here are the other areas of the car that impacts your driving experience like a rattling dash area that will irritate for hours on end. I have tried getting in serviced 4 times in the 6 months I had the car. Very disappointing. This is not my first Toyota, but it may be my last.

Update on fuel usage - 5,000km mark and it has averaged 6.4l per 100kms. This is from the dash display, not counting up every fuel docket and measuring it against kms travelled.
