Hi there, any comments from 2018 Prado owners regarding the DPF switch and alerting to tell when to run the process?
Peter

I own a 2018 Toyota Prado and I have never had the DPF warning come on as yet, but I travel at highway speeds every day which heats the DPF enough for it to do it's job. My vehicle has traveled over 15,000ks so far.
You may be only doing short trips and this may be the cause of your problem, cause your exhaust is not getting hot enough to burn off the soot.

Can I drive my 2000 turbo diesel Toyota Prado without its aircon drive belt without doing damage to the motor? It’s happened while we are on holidays and are towing a small tinny.
1 answer
No problem, as long as you double check that the Air Con Belt is not also driving your power steering which it shouldnt. ................if air con belt broke, make sure it hasnt damaged anything in engine bay or deposited pieces in vulnerable places of the engine bay or engine.BV

Hey Everyone,
After reading all the reviews both (negative and positive) I've discovered that the category "2009 to present" isn't valid and filters are useless because the vehicle has changed so much during that time.
So my question is directed more at the people who own the 2018 July onward 2.8 (with DPF switch).
Does anyone know how effective the manual DPF burn is and perhaps how it works?

Hi was wondering if parts from 2017 Prado will fit 2013 prado?
1 answer
Hi, some parts will and some parts won’t . There’s been numerous but sometimes subtle changes to the exterior bodywork like grilles and bonnets and Also with the 3 litre engine down to a 2.8 . Interior cabin has also had modifications to its styling . Parts when ordered are quite specific to the vehicle by way of the VIN number stamped or plated on the vehicle to reflect this . I would suggest that trial and error would be your best friend .
