Terrible recent experience with WISE! Don't use WISE if you have an urgent commitment.
4 weeks waiting for a transfer! Terrible recent experience with WISE. It used to be a good and efficient company but not anymore. I'm 4 weeks waiting for a transfer sent from a third party, and it is still not available. I've called the support centre many times, and it's always the same copy and paste reply, "routine checks". It's not reasonable to hold transfers/money for 4 weeks with no clear explanation or a specific timeline to complete it. Don't use WISE if you have an urgent commitment.

Terrible customer service.
Like everyone else, I had no issues with the old Transferwise. Without reading updated reviews, I transferred a six figure sum for a house deposit. They held onto the funds for over a week. One customer support member said they had no record of any transaction initially. Incredibly stressful. I did receive everything eventually, but missed out on an auction due to the delay. No replies to emails.
Appalling customer service - use if you don't like controlling your own money
I was a member of Wise back when it was TransferWise. I used to manage my hobby trading. Recently sold some very low dollar staff and had a transaction blocked until I provided Wise with details I had no way of knowing like "full legal name and date of birth", all for little more than $10 in a domestic transfer.
That's when customer service enters and it's game over. They don't read your emails, and, having worked with people in customer service who love to make people's lives difficult, I knew I'd entered their game. Emails will take over a d...
Read moreay to reply to and then they will ignore what you wrote and just use boilerplate copy. They will knowingly ask you to use a link to provide more info which has expired as it's already been used. They will be achingly polite about requesting things that are impossible to do and all the time they know they're screwing you over and they're happy about it. I will be deleting my account as soon as I can get this refund sorted, which doesn't look very promising from the other reviews here.Best money transfer method ever!
I have been using transferwise since 2016 and always punctual never had any issues. Don't understand the bad reviews really. I ve made more than 50 transactions and my family and friends also use it and it works perfect for large or small amounts does not matter.

Deactivated my account without notice and not return my money
I used TransferWise since August 2020 and everything was fine. Few weeks ago in sudden my account deactivated without notification at all. I still have a little money there and it seems no way to communicate or get return. I tried to called but no body pickup the phone. Last time I sent email to [email protected] even twice but no response at all. It’s really disappointing
Very Untrustworthy, Incompetent and unreliable company
I have recently done a transaction with…TRANSFERWISE LTD.
I have recently done a transaction with TransferWise Ltd. from a New Zealand Bank Account on 13th Sept 2021. However due to some unknown reasons, TransferWise was unable to process the funds even after 1 week, till 20th Sept 2021. Therefore I requested them to Cancel this transaction & refund the money back to my NZ account, which they claimed on 20th Sept 2021 that you will be receiving your funds back in 1-3 working days.
However, he amount of NZD $1920 is still pending on TransferWis...
Read moree Ltd. They claim that they have refunded the money from their local partner bank account (in the name of JP Morgan Chase Ltd. NA). TransferWise still manipulating the REFUND so far and not proceeded till yet, this has been confirmed by their two members of Customer service support staff during phone conversation on 23rd & 24th Sept 2021. Moreover, NZ Bank says if they have REFUNDED on 20th September 2021 through their local partner NZ bank the money should arrive in a maximum duration of 0-1 days, a normal banking transfer duration in New Zealand. They have just shared a computer generated document not a bank statement or screen shot of their bank statement to show proof of their refund transaction. I have requested them to share proof of refund transaction but they were unable to provide one, which means they are lying. Even after several emails and phone calls, no staff is unable to provide information about the actual date / duration for this refund. In other words TransferWise Ltd. is trying to mislead, holding up people's money for their own interests and intentionally without any reason. It's been 13 days my money is in their accounts for no reason. Highly incompetent, inefficient with poor customer service team. Would not recommend to use Money Transfer, be careful in dealing with them. Thanks

Very untrustworthy company.
Wise allows scammers to take your money. I had a significant amount taken from me by a scammer. They transferred it to WISE, opening an account in my name. When I discovered the theft and went after it, Wise deactivated the account that was fraudulently made in my name and refused to communicate with me.

Worst - absolutely untrustworthy and horrible customer service
They are a big scam. Worst customer service. Lost my funds transfer and then couldn’t locate it for 2 months. They give you scripted response and cannot be contacted at all. Probably have only 1 contact centre person in Australia and rest of the staff is based overseas and they don’t give a damn. They should not be allowed to operate in Australia, have lost mu money and time. Stay away from these thieves !!!!

TransferWise is a big money scammer
Horrible customer service. Have been using this service since 2016. After rebranding to Wise, their service becoming worst, they try to scam the customer money. Hold up the money for no reason. When i called them, they said we're still allocating the money and drag it day by day without any news. I'm still didn't get my money back. Wise/TransferWise they're a big money scammer. Don't use this service if you doesn't want to lose your money.

Non-existent customer service
It looks like their customer service is managed by bots. I keep getting copy-pasted irrelevant replies to my problem. Then they start repeating themselves like a broken robot. Just horrible!
Horrible customer service.
This is the worst customer service that I have seen in my life. It's a joke. If you have any problem with them, you will get annoyed. They are not able to fix any problem. It provides an amateur service. It does not look like a professional company.
After 3 years this company can not recognize us.
We have been dealing with this company form last 3 years and not suddenly the can not confirm where the payment is coming from. Our shipment is on hold and we are charged for the delay in payment.

Atrocious by the lowest standards
This is not a company you want to you to manage your transfers. Four weeks ago they blocked a payment to our team without specifying the reason.
We sent again. Blocked again. The reason being because we used their Poli system. They said you need to use the same account. We responded, we use the same Wise (ironic) account, the same bank account, the same user, even the same PC to do our transfers and Poli is your service!!
No response. Four weeks, you call they hang up. Email over a dozen times, not a single response.

Worst service
I wish I could give less then one star. Used to be good. Now hold up payments even for small amounts for weeks and their customer service is awful they keep asking for same information again and again with a standard turnaround of 1-4 business days. Stay away.

Horrible customer service and transfer times
It's incredible how terrible their customer service can be. Even for large amounts of money they couldn't care less when the funds don't arrive at destination after weeks, when their site says the transfer was "completed". Then when you ask their awful customer service they act like a bunch of monkeys in front of a computer, requesting unnecessary personal information that is not pertinent to the transfer. It almost feels like a scam. They have become incredibly incompetent and their fees are at thief level these days.
Would not recommend AT ALL, please do yourself a favor and avoid either getting your money stolen or getting horrible customer service every time like I did

Awful service and unfair hidden fees
I would not recommend Transfer Wise (now renamed to Wise). Their app looks slick and the service proposition sounds really amazing, but once you do start using their service, you discover a plethora of hidden fees and many difficulties in accessing your own money. I think they have found all the loopholes to take advantage of the customer and I would feel very uneasy to transact with them.
Don’t waste your time
Don’t waste your time to set up the account it’s the worst service I ever had. There are no problem with small amounts, but if you start to send over AUD 10,000 than they will suspend your account without reason even you have sent multiple time of source of income and tell them the reason.
My money just get suspended and unable to transfer the money to mother on time! It’s only AUD 20,000 and they blacklist my account and my bank account number in my country too ! My friend can no longer help me to transfer the Money back to my own country wi...

Really bad in handling fraud case
My bank account was hacked and somebody transferred money out of my account from Australia to overseas using Transferwise. After I reported to my bank, I reached to Transferwise through e-mail since I couldnt find any local phone number. Guy called [Name Removed] (from UK branch I suppose) replied but seems like he doesnt even bother handling a fraud case (stolen A$2500), just asked for a couple information, and then disappear after 2-3 replies, just keep asking me to report to authorities which I already had, and not helping at all. What a jok...
Read moree, made your company seem like supporting fraud schemes. Then 2 days after, found local Australian support phone number, lady name [Name Removed] helped me out and in less than 10mins she requested all the necessary information and forwarded the fraud case to her Fraud Team to be investigated.. Result still TBC, but hope I get my money back. Kudos to [Name Removed] effort in stopping fraud schemes.- 9 reviews

Easy to use for international payments
Wise, in comparison to the antique PayPal, is fair, economical, and unbiased. Sellers do not need to calculate excessive money transfer costs into their prices, nor allow for the risk of falling pray to a dishonest buyer making false claims.

They did trade with your money! They so bad
So bad service 2 weeks without any news for my money ! I think they just keep money and make some trade with, is a shame, you're never send emails to let know people you're the worst service I never got ! I took my money back from you after 2 weeks !
Don't use transferWise
I've used it a few times, works ok for small amounts, but it's terrible for large amounts.
They initially reported that the transfer of a large amount was successful and then cancelled it, saying that there was a problem with the recipient's details and that the receiving bank was at fault. This was not true, as a previous transfer of a small amount to the same recipient, went through without any problems. I chose to try one more time, but got the same result.
More than two weeks later and a lot of requests for more personal information and financial details, Wise cancelled the transfer and returned the money.
Don't use! Too unpredictable and maybe a Con.

It`s good
Used to convert AUD$10000. Better rate than OFX. However, need to be careful and read through the details of where and what currencies you can send to. I was not able to send USD to USD to Russia from Australia. Otherwise its fast and cheap at this stage.

WARNING - They get you on the higher Swift fees!!!
WARNING - They get you on the higher Swift fees!!!
Firstly, I used a link for a first free transfer and then got charged.
After making the transfer, I was charged more international Swift transfer fees through Wise than I have ever through other providers, to the same account.
WARNING - The result of using Wise was my family received 10% less than shown on Wise.
Loyal customer for over 8 years
I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I have used transfer wise in the last 8 years and I never had any issues. The app is easy to use, hassle free, transparent pricing and good rate.
