I would think it would be fine in the USA.
I note that most communications and balances are reported in US dollars.

Hi! Can you use the simcard if you are on a Telstra plan and going to Cuba ? Cheers Annika
To my knowledge, your phone must be unlocked to use overseas, it doesn't matter what plan you are on as you are not using their sim card. The travel sim I have only works in Zone 1 countries, not su...

I've just purchased this Travel SIM, and planning to travel to Hong Kong in 2 weeks. Before I go I've been asking my friends in HK to send me test SMS from the HK mobile +852-xxxx-xxxx to my travel SIM +614xx-xxx-xxx. No matter how many different Hong Kong friends tried to send me international SMS they all failed. I've already set the message centre to be +316540998002, I've successfully sent and received SMS australia locally. I've successfully sent SMS to my friends in Hong Kong, however I kept failing to receive SMS from them internationally. Please kindly advise urgently?! Thanks heaps
Hi, to help me trouble shoot I need your TravelSIM number or the email address registered on your account.
Thanks for your prompt reply. The product I bought was Australia Post prepaid Travel SIM, I think I got it mixed up with your brand. Don't worry about it. Thanks anyway !

All the best.Yes, data does come with your TravelSim, check our website www.travelsim.net.au for all costs. I went to Fiji and used travelsim for the first time - my friends and family could not contact me, i had 7 mystery missed calls from romania germany and britain and my balance plummeted. I feel i have been hoodwinked and hacked - any similar remarks?
Hello Ron, I can't say that has been my experience, noting that I have only successfully used Travelsim in Europe - France and England to be exact - as recently again as last October without any of t...
Read morehe things you mention. I did try to use it in US early last year but had poor experience with SMSs not getting through, calls not getting through, gobblydegook SMSs etc, and finally bought a T Mobile sim which was great. Just used T mobile again in US one week ago as wouldn't try Travelsim in US again. I suggest calling Travelsim and see what they say - I usually find them very responsive, they were so when I reported my experience in the US. Maybe they will refund your outlay as what happened to you sounds horrible! I got my T mobile sim in Australia from www.travelgear.com.au and they were great; maybe they have sims for countries other than US. Sigh. Its really hard finding an alternative to being slugged by Telstra/Optus etc when overseas! Though I'm happy with my solutions. JaneGet an answer from our members and TravelSim representatives
