Bearings in back hub must have been bad or dodgy. Drive side bearing collapsed after two weeks riding by my wife.

Electrics can be fitted after purchase
Hi everyone I had my electrics fitted after I brought my bike so that isn't a problem and helps on long rides when your legs get tired or there's a bit of a incline you simply just hold on the start button keep it down while peddling till slow mode lights up then remove finger of switch, I have not used medium or fast as slow mode is enough power for me . Yes the cost was expensive but you've got live once and a while instead sitting around the house.

Great after i got used to riding it
it took me about 30 minutes to get used to riding again after so many years, felt funny at first but got the hang of it.
Some people say it was hard to put together here but my son was happy to swap assembly for roast dinner. Instructions were good, video was better, no missing parts, took about 2 hours from start to finish, had small trouble with gears clicking but got the instructions how to fix from the seller and all good.
Would have liked electric but brought this to start with.
Great for trips to the local shops, easy on small ...Read more

I bought a trike bike built by the distributer. Have had a bake mechanic look at it and it has problems with the gear and brakes. I nearly hit a car because the brakes didn't work

If you are thinking about buying a trike on line, think again! Would be much easier, less frustratin
These are the problems I have experienced so far:
Two bolts in the disk brake assembly, were too long and protruded onto the disk brake rendering it almost immovable.
Still can't get first and sixth gear to work.
Left pedal shaft fell off the bike about one klm into my first ride.
limped home with it; thought it had been screwed back on nice and securely and it fell off again after about another klm!!
Now, I am advised by a bike shop that the pedal shaft is damaged and I will need to spend approx $75 to replace the crank shaft, the pedal arm and the nut which holds it together!

Hi there, as per the original email we sent you the bike has been assembled wrong.
Sorry to be blunt but you have to follow the assembly instructions otherwise it will never work. ... Read more
Firstly, you need to adjust the gears so that the upper and lower limits are correctly set. This is covered completely in our video and also in the instructions supplied with your trike. Once the upper and lower limits have been set correctly everything else will just work. Regarding the crank, you had not tightened the bolts securely when the trike was finished assembly, even though the cranks already installed in place you must still tighten the bolts. As mentioned to you you need to simply run a small file on each of the four surfaces to bring everything back into alignment and then put the crank back in place, hit with a socket and a hammer firmly just the once and then put the nut back in place. As I mentioned you should use Loctite on this part but if you don't have locktite you can use a small drop of nail polish. You had not mentioned anything about the brake in previous correspondence so I cannot help you because I don't know about the bolts you are referring to but please send me an email with the details and we will be sure to look after you! PS. If you need to replace the pedal shaft (and i am really sure you wont need to) we have them for just $15, not the $75 you have been quoted which is just robbery.Michael C.Trike-Bike

It's not Yellow
I recently purchased a yellow trike bike for someone who has a disability. They wanted yellow, unfortunately the trike that arrived is actually lime green. I have asked a few people what colour they think it is, they have all responded - lime green.
-The de-railer had to be repositioned as it was hitting the chain.
- This model has a rear disc brake and not drum as shown in the instruction video, instructions need to be updated. I am also not excited about the brakes as they feel cheap and stopping power is not like a 2 wheel bike. Also the...Read more

Derailer - I understand the gearing needs to be adjusted - but I had to adjust the derailer where it is bolted to the frame as the chain was hitting the nut. No problem and the info may be useful to others. Rear Brake - Thank you for the info on adjusting the rear disc brake, it was helpful. Shimano Parts - Shimano do make good quality parts, however the parts on the Trike are more than likely their basement (lower end) quality. Also surface rust has appeared on most of the nuts and bolts, but I'm not overly concerned about that. Rear wheel wobble - I never said there is a wobble. I said the two rear wheels have a slight buckle. And to rectify this problem, the SPOKES will need to be adjusted professionally. But it currently is not impacting on stability. Holes drilled too big - The welded bracket on the rear guard had to be bent slightly back to fit properly and on one bracket the holes were drilled too big. Therefore I have to find a bolt with nut to complete that assembly. I did not see one QA (Quality Assurance) sticker on this trike and maybe you can speak to the manufacturer about this. It's not Yellow - Thank you for being honest in regards to the paint colour and that it may vary. Maybe you can put that information on your website? Overall the trike is ok. For anyone buying this bike who has a disability and perhaps the use of only one hand. I purchased and installed a dual brake lever. So now when brake is applied it will activate both front and rear at the same time.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Bike, excellent customer service
I purchased a Trike Bike online about 1.5 years ago.
I was very happy with the customer service as the delivery to my area was going to be out of my budget and I was unsure about putting the Trike together. Trike bike assembled the bike for me for a small fee and they even opened up their showroom after hours in order for a friend of mine who was holidaying on the coast to collect the Trike for me, avoiding the delivery fee. I was also very happy with their after sales service as my Trike gets a lot of use as I do not have a drivers licen...Read more

Leaves a little to be desired
My wife has used this product for a few months now. The preassembled rear axle was not done with diligence and care resulting in the rear brake slipping, corrected by myself after instruction from the vendor. It should have been made clear in the assembly instructions that this fault was not unusual and the manner of checking/correction.
The rear guards are easily moved no matter how tight one does up the bolts, resulting in the guards jambing onto the tyre, also, the guards have to be removed before the wheel can be removed to attend to an...Read more
y puncture etc. I changed the guards for the more practical Gomier system of attachment. The gear change lever no longer indicates which gear is active as the indicator pointer has lost it's connection to the change system. Rust has apppeared already on the front basket and on the frame. To top it all off, the trike lost all drive and braking function on the rear axle a few days ago due to the failure of the driving wheel hub attachment........ Most unsatisfactory, it hasn't even put in one year of service. You don't fall over when you stop :-)) Poor instructions and bad design2 comments

Great, but not easy to build
I ordered one of these for my wife (she is 50 years old), who never learnt to ride a conventional bicycle. She has found it to be easy and enjoyable to ride. A word of warning though, if you have the bike posted to you, it comes in a box in many pieces and takes about 4 hours to put together. The instructions are OK, but is still reasonably difficult to work out. You will need someone who has tackled a few IKEA projects to work on the assembly. The bike chain also needs to be joined, which really requires a special tool to do so. The instruct...Read more
ions tell you that a special tool is usually used to join the chain, but suggests you can use pliers if you are careful. Well, I was painfully careful and ended up with a 'stiff link' in the chain. As a result I had to take the trike to the local bike shop and have a new chain fitted (about $35) - where they used the correct tool. Transportation of the trike was a concern, as we like to take our bikes to areas away from home to ride. The trike fits into our Mitsubishi Magna station wagon (just!) if you lie it on its side and lay the back seat flat. It's also quite heavy - about 30kg, so you would have trouble getting it onto a car roof rack, and is too wide (80cms) to fit on most rear tow ball mounted bike racks. Solid build, easy to ride, heaps of storage space in front and rear baskets, value for money Hard to assemble, hard to transport, chain should be fitted by professional with correct equipment3 comments

Great for old age mobility
Great product, hadn't been on a bike in years and was worried about my balance. with three wheels its stable and great to ride, at 76 i am starting to feel 50 again. just love riding it!
Easy to ride

They are very stable on level ground, but on a slope the trike tips to one side, and you have to adjust your seat position to stay upright. If you turn sharply onto a sloping driveway you can easily come unstuck.

this is why you may feel like on a sidewards sloping road you are feeling like you may fall off but you wont....... the angle needed to lift up a tyre and fall over is huge and not something you would normally walk up or down. Hi there,I’m after a schwinn meridian 26 inch wheel trike.is this a good choice?
I’m an active 40 year old male.
I just want it to go to the markets and carry some groceries yet strong enough that the wheels won’t buckle under a bit of bumpy road.the schwinn just looked pretty nice.
I don’t have any experience with trikes but have ridden bikes all my life.
Any help on where to get one in Sydney or something better would be much appreciated.
Thanks very much.
