It’s ok
The camera on it is good, was pretty happy with that part esp when it came to night vision. The part that most disappointed though was the audio. It is horrible. Soooo much noisy feedback, that it needs to be turned down to almost nothing so you don’t have all the annoying buzzing and crackle. Not what you want at night time!!! I don’t recommend it.

Discontinued in 2012 but online deal websites still selling it
I purchased the Uniden BW 2001 Baby Monitor from dealsdirect.com.au - the camera unit didn't work - batteries nor lead would power up the unit. I contacted dealsdirect who sent me another one. It didn't work either. I called Uniden who said that it was discontinued in 2012 yet these deal sites are flogging units that don't work - and the uniden technician said they are too old to repair.

Good product very happy with it
Best idea from uniden keeping the batteries seperate to make it truly portable. Purchased several sets of rechargable AAs. Can use away from home instead of needing to be near a 240v.
Also charge batts while still using it away from the powerpoint.

Heap of crap
We bought one of these when our son was first born 7 months ago and it didn't work so we had to send it back.. Got a replacement and this one has none stop interference and the batteries don't last at all.. The camera doesn't move around enough to get in a good position.. Worst product I have ever purchased!

User Friendly
Monitor is easy to use, picture quality is great and is perfect for our small house as I don't need to use the sound, only the video. I keep it on silent but when I have turned on the sound I do find it a bit static-y. Putting batteries in to make it portable isn't hard & for the price I am happy.

Absolute waste of time
don't waste your time with this product. it's not portable unless you use batteries. unit does not charge batteries. everybody knows portability is a necessity for the base station. does uniden even know their customers needs or understand what attributes are required in a baby monitor. sorry uniden poor product.

Read moreClicked the heading for the BW2001 manual and the BW2101 one comes up. So there are two operating manuals for the BW2101. Bad mistake Uniden. I pressed the sleep button by mistake and now I can't get it out of sleep mode. The damn screen keeps going blank. If anyone can help with this, I'd really appreciate it. Oh yeah....The batteries in the camera last about 2 hours....Used Energisers.
