I had to unplug my unit over the weekend, after plugging back in I am now also getting a Disc Lost showing on my screen and no longer recording. Also has a ticking sound coming from the unit. I see it seems to be a common issue, is there any way to fix it?

Hi! Have a gdvr4340. All of a sudden disk is lost.... how do I fix this. Making a ticking sound too...

The disk is quite possible dead based on that ticking noise. I believe you can replace it and re-format it from the admin menu. Can you get into the admin menu still? if so check if a format option is available.
To replace it, it is probably a 1Tera byte (1TB) disk so maybe $100 or so to replace. You should buy a "Surveillance Hard Drive" and not an el cheap drive. But if you do not have the techncial skills you will need to find someone technically minded to do this.

Got uniden gdvr4340 great little system have just moved and when i hooked up system comes up with disc lost unable to record or playback however can see live on mobile devices and when on monitor any suggestion to correct the disc would be much appreciated

What was wrong that gave you reason to return it to factory default? That may provide a hint on what is now wrong. For example a dead hard disk.

Sorry, but I have no idea why this would be happening. I'm wasn't able to sort out the problems with the one I bought.

Hi, i installed my GDVR 42/82 in accordance with instruction. I downloaded the App on my phone ( Samsung ) and registered the device but it doesn't work! It give me message "the device is offline". Please help

Check your home internet connection as it needs a wired connection to the router/modem. Can you see it on your network? UNIDEN Customer support can help far better than I. Cheers

Need extension wire of 5 meter each for 2 cameras. Where can I get its.

For this system you need an AHD (Analogue High Definition) cable. Default cable seems to be 18m and the next size up is 100m. I would think you could put x2 cables together (18+18=36m). Connection for video is BNC. UNIDEN sell cables through their online shop and were cheaper than Jaycar. Maybe a security cam installer could make a shorter cable if you needed?
