Is there any difference between the Snap Duo and Snap Duo Tailormade, other than the seat fabric/colour...?

From memory, I don't believe there's any other difference then the one you mentioned.

Hi Bels, thanks so much for the question. The only other difference apart from the fabric and colours is that the Tailormade has adjustable footrests whereas the classic Snap Duo does not.

Hi, I recently purchased the Valco Snap Duo. I love it, however when I have both my toddler and baby in it, it seems to bounce. When I have just my baby in it it's ok. Is this due to a big weight imbalance? It especially happpens if i hang shopping off the bar. Please advise.

Hi. Yes, I believe that the uneven weight distribution can cause a bounce. I also carry two different aged kids and sometimes find that its harder to push too. I try and balance it up by putting my groceries or nappy bag under the side where my little one sits.

HI Catherine
It does sound like a weight imbalance issue. Are you able to place the shopping bag in the basket underneath?
You are more than welcome to call us on 03 9581 8000 for further clarification.

I've just bought a snap duo second hand and it has the one big hood over both seats (2014 model I believe). Is it possible to put 2 single hoods on or is it not compatible? I'll be using it for a toddler and a capsule attachment so need them to be independent if possible, as well as for when one baby is sleeping and the other not etc.

Hi Carley
Sorry the frames are different, your model does not the middle bar to attach the two hoods.

Hi Michelle
You can use the EZ Rider, Hitchiker CB, the Rover and the SK*8 Board. Suggest you try out in a store first which one suits your growing family.

Hi
Few months ago Valco said they were working on fitting two car capsules on their Valco Snap Duo. Is that still a dream for twin parents or has the pram been upgraded and adaptor for two capsules on Valco snap duo been released?

Thank you

Sorry but I can't answer that as my pram doesn't have that option. Maybe they'll be releasing the snap duo pram that does include that option?

Was there something in the basket? If the handle bar is in there then sometimes that can restrict it from folding. That happened to me too.

Hi Sherry, I'm sorry I haven't experienced anything like you mentioned. You probably have already done this but have you checked that the front wheels are not locked and/or have been completely released? I've heard the customer service is very good, have you tried giving them a call? Hoping you can get these issues sorted soon!

Linda MK
Linda MK

Check the material part that you pull up/down on the back. Maybe it's twisted? Like how seat belts can get twisted. That's all I can think of. It hadn't happened to me so not sure.

Sherry
Sherry

thanks Samantha and linda for your replies. I have now sorted out the problem with the backrest, (you were right linda, it turns out it had gotten all twisted at the back, so after accessing the back zip area, I was able to untwist it all and snap the metal piece back onto the clip piece). now I just have the issue with the wheels, so I will try to give customer service a call to see if they can suggest anything for that. thanks again ladies :)

I have a valco snap duo. I am
Aware that having a toddler and a newborn will throw out the weight however I have my 5kg ( 8 wks old) baby in the left seat and my toddler 11kg in the right seat. My problem is that it's the side with the newborn which is heavy and hard to steer. It's still in warranty but is this a common problem or a wheel problem??

No there's something wrong with your stroller. I had one toddler and a baby in mine too and it pushes easily. I can push with one hand normally.

Thank you for confirming that. I'll get it looked at ASAP cause I have hurt my wrist from pushing it

I have my three year old beside my almost 1yr old even with the pneumatic tyres and it's still easy to turn. Better with the normal wheels however but not difficult by any means, still one handed no worries.

I have a snap.duo with one internal bassinet (the ebon??). I have a toddler and baby 2 is due soon. We cant get the bassinet into the stroller. It seems it is too wide for the seat a c it is getting caught o the metal bars in the bassinet. Any tricks or tips?

You might want to bring your bassinet and the snap duo into places like baby kingdom. Maybe your bassinet is not suitable for the snap duo or you just got the wrong attachment. They will sell them at the store.

Luci Lu
Luci Lu

Yes this is because the seats on the duo are narrower than the single.
I just purchased myself a wool insert and a foot muff which basically made the one side into a bassinet anyway without needing an entire insert.
The foot muff I used was from my single pram and fit fine. So no wasting money there :-)
Plus wool keeps them warm in winter and cool in summer, and once they're old enough for straps I just cut slits in the wool. Win win all round ;-)

I'm having a hard time folding my stroller. I usually just press the button on the handle and it surrounding folds over. Whenever I try to press down the safety button it refuses to go down but the stroller still folded. Now however it seems to be locked and whatever I try I can't get the stroller to fold. Please help me figure this out asap since I have a hard time just getting it through my front door this way and have to carry it up and downstairs sideways!

You can't have the seats in the reverse positions. The seats are fixed. If you are talking about the capsules, then you need to remove it first.

Hi just wondering if I use the snap duo for baby and toddler will it take a newborn bassinet attachment on one side? I like to have baby facing me. I know the snap ultra duo has reversible handle but not as easy to locate one of these in Adelaide

Yes I had a safe and sound unity capsule attached to one side so the baby can face me. You do need to get an attachment for the stroller but they are not expensive around $20.

Valco Baby

Hi Rebecca
Thanks for getting in touch.
There are a couple of configuration options for the Snap Duo when being used with an infant and toddler.
As GREYLIES mentioned there is the option to use a capsule with the pram. Another option is to use an internal bassinet, which sits inside one of the seats of the pram. You can view this configuration on our website - http://valcobaby.com.au/accessory/snap_bassinet
For more information please give us a call on 1300-0-VALCO.

Hi risko74
We appreciate all questions as many people may benefit from you asking and us answering, so thank you for asking!
The Snap Duo (http://valcobaby.com.au/product/snap_duo) is an ultra lightweight side by side double stroller, featuring two expandable hoods, a fully reclining seat, auto fold lock and many other nifty features.
The Snap Duo LX (http://valcobaby.com.au/product/snap_duo_lx) shares all these great features of the Snap Duo with the additions of being able to customise your pram by choosing your own hood as well as it having adjustable footrests!
Hope this helps!

I was wondering whether to purchase sports pack but haven't read the best reviews on them so wanted to be sure! I'm not a jogger and I know it's not a jogger pram but even pace walking they appear to shake a little??

LTH
LTH

I purchased the sports pack and love it, haven't used the original tyres since. I think it makes pram easier to push and do use mine for slow jog.
Haven't noticed shaking wheels - but my kids are heavier so maybe this weighs the pram down to stop shaking?
