How I WISH I had stuck with AA Insurance
Home & Contents InsuranceIf you are thinking of moving to vero - i have 2 words for you - Don't do it.
I have only regret. The service is very poor. They are very helpful when trying to secure your business - then you are pretty much on your own. They will not contact you at any point to help with anything - you need to be on their case constantly or nothing will happen with your claim. They simply DONT CARE.
I will be switching back to AA - as soon as this nightmare is over.
They might contact you only after you get extremely upset to pay lip service - but nothing is ever implemented.

Home & Contents InsuranceVero's customer service is appalling. Their so called expert claims assessor did not respond to phone calls and texts. Upon complaints to Vero they assessed my claims to be non payable after over 10 yrs of insurance with them. Please shop around for more reputable insurance companies. No wonder IMB have switched over to Alliance Insurance.

I'm still waiting for results from January and oh... did I mention they no longer renew policies or take out new ones. use every excuse under the sun. I'm vulnerable, a sole carer for mum here at home and in hospital atm. Excuses of maintenance, non compliance from a house built in 1994 BEFORE these things were compliant. Not qualified people. Take your money but when you need something in return, oh sorry. They don't give a crap.

Home & Contents InsuranceWe’ve had house and contents insurance for over 10 yrs. NEVER made a claim, always paid on time ( direct debit) . Put up with every increase that’s occurred. We receive a letter yesterday that as of the 6th of June we are no longer insured with Vero. That’s 2 1/2 weeks notice. I’m wondering whether it’s because we live on a creek?. Insurance companies are happy when they are on the receiving end . The minute they have to start giving, changes the whole dimension. I called vero today. There’s no help or support in transferring your policy, even staff are poorly advised as to recommendations.
Very disappointed.!

Home & Contents InsuranceWe launch a claim regards damages made by heavy rainfall to our patio in our house. Keep on asking for additional documents and intentionally not to try to resolve the claim. Been more than 2 years with this insurance took the premium amount every month but its not worth it.

Worst experience in my life !

Didn’t even know who I was when I rang even though we had spoken and I had a claim number .
Still hasn’t spoken to me in 7 weeks after I write an email stating the poor service I had received.
7 weeks and still waiting for my roof to be repaired ! Never ever again !

Claim approved within a day
Home & Contents InsuranceI've recently claim content insurance with Vero, under the personal belonging unspecified item and my claim is approved within the day. I never have issue dealing with Vero and that's why I have been their royal customer for almost 10 years.
I was thinking to replace my home and content policy with alternative provider due to the cost. But I decided not to. Luckily that I didn't change my mine.

Home & Contents InsuranceI think I’ve been with them over 10 years and clearly their customer service has diminished over that time. I called to see if my new policy (which has risen a whopping 23%) could be any cheaper. The service I received was pathetic. Couldn’t answer my simple question on the third go, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told they’re busy and would ‘call me within 24 hours’. And guess what? No such luck. I called again to complain and I’m waiting on an email regarding the so called training which will be given to the sales person. Either way I’m done because I’d rather give me business to a company that appreciate my business. So much for loyalty - I’m moving on - terrible service.

I wasn't aware that my contents needs to be less than 5years old to be covered and theyr valuation was very poor $$$ to help for the next purchase.
Your service are no longer good to me.

Home & Contents InsuranceThe service we have just received from Vero regarding a claim on our home and contents was nothing short of brilliant. All staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. 10 days from lodging our claim to finalisation. Great communication along the way. We have been with Vero for quite a few years now and from our experience we cannot recommended them highly enough.
We live in Townsville.

An expensive waste of money.
Home & Contents InsuranceVero Home Building Insurance ($2,500 a year) was recommended by our strata managers last year. When it came to claim after recent Townsville floods, found out we weren't covered for our situation. The last 5 months have been a nightmare: lack of communication from Vero, being told lies, phony on-site inspections/ reviews, and finally last week being told our claim was dead. Question: Why are Home owners in a Strata Title treated differently to owners on a single title?
